Lake County is one of the fastest growing counties in Florida, with many areas of development underway throughout its many communities. Wolf Branch Innovation District, Wellness Way, Minneola CRA, and the Ford Commerce Park are each located in a strategic growth corridor providing access to major roadways, and diversifying our economy with their unique footprints.

With the development of the neighboring Wolf Branch Innovation District, Lake County is poised to attract professionals to this area to fill the offices, medical facilities, and manufacturing businesses that will be making the area their base of operation. This campus-style district has the potential to create significant employment opportunities for East Lake County. With universities, colleges, and trade schools producing more than 500,000 students within a 100mile radius of the county, the Wolf Branch Innovation District will be a magnet for both businesses and graduates alike.

The Northeastern Lake County area has many growth opportunities underway, none more impactful than the completion of the Wekiva Parkway in late-March 2018. The completion of the Central Florida beltway through Lake County will provide greater accessibility to our communities from the greater Central Florida area while relieving overcrowding on our existing roadways. Simultaneously opening the doors for new opportunities through tourism, the growth of existing businesses, and attracting new businesses to this area. With the boundaries of the Mount Plymouth-Sorrento CRA centrally located within this area of growth, the downtown and surrounding area will also benefit from the improved infrastructure and business development.
