All of the tours in this booklet marked “Limited Edition” only happen in 2020. Our “Limited Edition” tours and cruises will not happen again. They are all very UNIQUE tours that include a fantastic play that only happens in Oberammergau Germany every 10 years. That means it will be 2030, before we could ever offer a similar tour again. We have a cap on the number of tours and cruises that we can offer in 2020 that can include the Passion Play in Oberammergau, Germany. Once in a Life Time

What makes the Passion Play so special? It has taken place every 10 years since 1640. That is almost 400 years! A little history: In the 1600’s the Black Plague killed upwards of 50% of the people living in Europe. The small village of Oberammergau in the German Alps couldn’t stop it from reaching their village. They knew of other villages in the area that had been decimated by the plague. As hard as they tried, to keep out all strangers and not visit other areas, the plague finally reached their village. Many had become sick and had already experienced a couple of deaths. All of the citizens of Oberammergau went to the Lord in prayer. They prayed that their village would be spared and that if he would spare their village, they would hold a Passion Play, dedicated to the last week of Christ’s Life, every 10 years forever. It really was a miracle, no one else died. They held their first Passion Play in 1634. They then decided to hold their second in 1640, then every 10 years going forward. There will be more than 2,000 performers, musicians, singers and stage hands. All must come from the approximate 5,000 people that live in the village of Oberammergau. You could say it is in their genes. From the time they are born, until they die, much of their world revolves around the Passion Play. Only those born in Oberammergau can participate in the Passion Play. The exception is made for those that move to Oberammergau and live their 20 or more years, only after the 20 plus years will they be allowed to participate in the Passion Play. From the time they are born, they start to prepare, learning to play musical instruments, good singers become part of the choir and actors prepare, for many years, their part in the play. It is an absolute fantastic professional play. It will be an experience you will never forget! Fun For Less Tours were the first to make their reservations for the Oberammergau Passion Play. We secured our reservations in the fall of 2016. By December of 2017 we had already paid out over $1,000,000 (one million dollars) toward our reservations related to the Passion Play. We already have our contracts with Oberammergau that have guaranteed that all of our passengers will be staying in the German Alps in 4-Star Deluxe accommodations. We have also been guaranteed deluxe seating for the Passion Play. We know of other companies that have had trouble even getting tickets and others still that can’t get Passion Play accommodations. They are having to stay 2 hours away in Munich. Remember we are still 2 years out from the first play that will happen mid-May 2020 and they’re already having problems getting tickets and accommodations. We have been told, there are usually 4 or 5 requests for tickets for every ticket issued. The BEST news, our passengers are not going to be faced with any issues, other than the problem of having to chose which fantastic tour or cruise they want that includes the Passion Play. Now you understand why we created a “Limited Edition” mailer. Our “Limited Edition” tours are only available in 2020. Many of our 2020 tours are new and have never been offered before. This was our first chance to create a tour that includes the very best Italy has to offer. Usually we have to hurry through Italy so we can get to the Greece cruise. Your going to love Italy, like we do, after you experience all that it has to offer. We have slowed down and brought you some very wonderful additions that were not included in our past tours of Italy. They include: • The Italian Alps. Look at page 19. You will experience some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. • San Marino: Page 17. Located on a mountain, surrounded completely by Italy, is the tiny country of San Marino. • Cinque Terre on the Italian Riviera. Look at page 21. There are 5 villages along the Italian Riviera that are hard to get to without a boat. We have chartered our own boat for the day so we can enjoy the beauty from the sea and also enter the ports to explore. • High-Speed Train ride from Florence to Naples. A 7 hour bus drive is turned into a little over a 2 hour high-speed train ride. • The costal town of Sorrento. The drive to Sorrento is beautifully fantastic and it will take your breath away. You will also enjoy the old town of Sorrento. • Pompeii- you have all heard about it, on this trip you will be able to explore the old town destroyed by a volcano.

The Volga River is a trip that should be high on your bucket list! Finding the right ship, we wanted for our group, to do the Volga River was easy; getting them to let us take over the whole ship and allow us to do our own itinerary was not as easy. In addition to the many stops on the Volga River, we have added visits to St. Petersburg, Moscow, Munich and the Oberammergau Passion Play. This might be the ultimate experience. The study of Christ through the Holy Lands combined with the Oberammergau Passion Play. We have designed this special tour to include the BEST of the Holy Lands, along with Oberammergau’s wonderful Passion Play. It has so much to offer. You spend time studying the life of Christ with Dr. S. Michael Wilcox, you will attend the wonderful Passion Play in Oberammergau and to top it all off you will spend a week walking where Jesus walked in Israel. The icing on the cake is the addition of Jordan and Egypt. A chance to do all of this in one trip only happens once every 10 years. This really is a once in a lifetime trip.

Some even leave off Bethlehem, and most leave off Jordan! One of the sites missed by everyone else: The ongoing excavations of the City of Lehi. A cave was discovered a short distance down from Jerusalem with writings of a Prophet from 600 BC. The Nomad tribes consider the hill above the cave to be a sacred place. As they put it, “Before there was Muhammad there was a great prophet named Lehi and he taught from that hill”. This will be a major highlight of your tour in Israel. Over the years we have had many requests to do a quality France Tour. For those that feel they have visited all the major cities of Europe, this is the tour for you. Our tour goes from the bottom to the top trying to do the BEST of the BEST. Even then we haven’t covered it all, but we have done a very good job.

Here is a small example:

• Avignon: You will marvel at the Pope’s Palace. Starting in 1333, this was the home to 7 consecutive Popes of the Catholic Church. Today you can explore much of the ancient palace. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. • Nice: There are many ancient medieval walled villages near Nice, we are going to visit two of them, the walled city of St Paul de Vence, and the walled city of Eze. In addition we will drive along the famous French Riviera, along with visiting MonteCarlo in the tiny country of Monaco. • Lyon: A UNESCO World Heritage Site that has 2,000 years of history imprinted on its cobblestone streets. One of Europe’s most extensive Renaissance neighborhoods. • Annecy: Romance is the lifeblood of Annecy, a town replete with castles and cathedrals and beautiful architecture – this will be a highlight day. • The Loire Valley: Often referred to as the valley of a thousand Châteaux. We will visit as many châteaux palaces as we can in the 1½ days we will have in the Loire Valley. The Châteaux highest on our list include Cheverny, Chenonceau, d’Azay-leRideau, Blois, and de Chambord. • The ancient walled city of Mont Saint-Michel. Everything is still there from the 13th and 14th centuries. It has never been conquered. Buildings still stand from the 13th century. • The Normandy Coast with its World War II landing beaches and the American Cemetery. • Paris: The Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Versailles, Paris Temple and so much more. When you arrive into Nice you will be met by Diane and Rob Prince. They will stay with you throughout your time in France and Germany. The Oberammergau Passion Play is a MAJOR part of this package. Dr. S. Michael Wilcox will also join you in Munich, preparing you for your Passion Play experience. After the Passion Play you will travel to Salzburg and spend the day touring. Then travel to Munich to overnight and catch your flight home the following day.
