If you are spending time studying the New Testament in your church or on your own this year – next year would be the perfect time to visit many of the sites mentioned in the New Testament. The tour also includes early Christian history in the areas you are visiting. Below is a small list of some of the highlights you will experience on Dr. S. Michael Wilcox’s Travel of Paul and the Apostles Tour: · Athens: Paul taught on Mars Hill at the base of the Acropolis. · Corinth: Paul spent over a year in Corinth working, teaching and starting a church. · Ephesus: Paul and John were involved in creating the church in Ephesus and other churches in the surrounding area. · The Island of Patmos: From Ephesus, we will travel by private ferry to the Isle of Patmos, Turkey. This is where John wrote the book of Revelations. Patmos is really a Greek island but it is closer to Turkey than to the mainland of Greece. · Rome: Paul was held in prison near the Forum of Rome, and it was here that Paul died a martyr for his faith. There are three other wonderful places that we will visit that are filled with early Christian history. All fall into our favorite places to visit in the world. • Istanbul: Many of the religious sites in Istanbul have both ancient Christian history and ancient Muslim history. • Cappadocia: Underground cities where up to 20,000 early Christians hid from persecution. The caves cities have up to 13 levels. We will not try to visit all of the many miles of caves or try to visit 13 levels deep, but we will visit enough that this will become a huge highlight day. • Meteora Monasteries: Our train ride and visit to Meteora’s Ancient Monasteries, built on top of sheer rock pinnacles, will be another huge highlight day.

The whole ship only holds a little over 100 passengers. It is absolute luxury from the suite cabins to the open spaces, to the luxurious meals. We work closely with a company in Germany that we charter our trains with for the Silk Road and our trains in Africa. Together we have chartered the Noble Caledonia Island Sky, along with designing the itinerary around the island of Madagascar, the island of Reunion and the island of Mauritius. With this ship we are able to get into areas that others are rarely able to visit.

Note: Most of the cabins are approximately 235 square feet. Other than the large Island Suite, all of the cabins are of a similar size and quality, with small changes in layout - all are considered Junior Suite Cabins. The picture is of the lowest category - Standard Suite Cabins. Higher category cabins are located on different levels - UPGRADED cabins range from having a large picture window, to cabins that have a direct deck access, to cabins with private balconies. Below are the different cabins that you can upgrade to along with the upgrade pricing per person.

Traveling by Luxurious Train is the Perfect way to see the very best that India has to offer. With our land tour of India, many of our days are spent traveling from one location to another with very little sightseeing on the travel days. Most travel days involve 5 to 6 hours of traveling by bus with additional time at restrooms and some sightseeing to break up the day. There are no simple short cuts, even when flying you have the drive to the airport, two hours at the airport before the flight, the flight time, the time gathering luggage and loading of the buses, along with the time to drive from the airport into the city. Bhutan “Land of the Thunder Dragon”, only began to open up to outsiders in the 1970s. Bhutan’s ancient Buddhist culture, friendly people and breathtaking scenery make it a natural tourist attraction.
