Kelmtejn mill-Kap tal-iskola Fiż-żminijiet tallum qed ikun hemm ħafna każi fejn il-midja soċjali ġġibna fl-inkwiet jew inġibu lil ħaddieħor fl-inkwiet. Ikun hemm okkażjonijiet fejn il-midja soċjali ma tkunx l-aħjar post fejn niżvugaw ir-rabja tagħna.

Fuq il-midja soċjali hemm tendenza li l-ilment jinstema differenti u l-messaġġ iġiegħel xi individwi jibdew sensiela ta’ ilmenti li ma jwasslu għal ebda soluzzjoni.

Filwaqt li nagħarfu li dawn il-mezzi ta’ komunikazzjoni għandhom importanza kbira u wasslu biex jinbidlu ħafna affarijiet fis-soċjeta tagħna, nisħqu li għandhom jintużaw b’serjeta kbira u ngħallmu lit-tfal jużawhom b’mod responsabbli.

Irridu nippreparaw ukoll lit-tfal biex jagħarfu jużaw dawn ilmezzi b’mod li ma jinfluwenzawhomx ħażin; ma jintroduċux vizzji ġodda u jagħarfu jixtarru dak li jaqraw.

Inħeġġukom biex meta jkun hemm problemi fl-edukazzjoni ta’ wliedkom inżommu miftuħin beraħ il-bibien tal-komunikazzjoni bejn l-iskola u intom li tieħdu ħsieb it-tfal. Inħeġġukom biex dejjem tfittxu l-ewwel l-għajnuna tal-edukaturi fl-iskola li jaħdmu ma’ wliedkom kuljum. Dan huwa l-aktar mod effettiv biex ikollna edukazzjoni effettiva tat-tfal tagħna.

Topic: Fairytales. (Hansel and Gretel, Jack and the beanstalk). We read stories and watched videos and then made crafts related to both stories. The children created their own beanstalk focusing on numeracy and also made their own candy house.

During a learning experience about Autumn, K2.3 learners coloured a trunk developing fine motor skills and the tripod grip. The top part of the autumn trees was done using cauliflower printing enhancing the sensory skills of the children who enjoyed the feeling and texture of the cauliflower. They observed what happens when different coloured paints mix together.

The children learned that owls are night creatures. Through this learning experience they learned about shapes (circle for the body, semi-circle for wings and triangle for the beak). Pupils learned about size (big, medium, small) and experienced that when white paint is added to a colour, the colour becomes lighter.

Antoher craft related to Autumn was the scare crow wherein pupils practiced scissoring skills for the hair.

Kindergarten 2.3 loved to do the plumber toolbox. First they coloured the tools and pronounced the vocabulary and they also learned what they are used for. We also introduced the rectangle shape - cuboid.

The cribs were created during the Christmas period.

My Dog (Nathan Scicluna)

My dog is a husky and her name is Missy.

Missy is 8 years old.

It has grey and white colours.

Missy likes to play with the ball.

The sea turtles (Jake Camilleri) Sea turtles are reptiles and there are 7 species of sea turtles.

On their backs they have a nice solid shell to protect their body.

They eat jelly fish. Plastic bags and balloons looks like food to a hungry sea turtle and can lead to death.

Female turtles lay their eggs on sandy beaches like Ä nejna Bay by digging a hole in the sand.

We can make the difference by throwing plastic material properly. Sea creatures can eat plastic and die.

My cat (Emily Schembri) My cat’s name is Scratchy.

Her colour is black, brown and white.

She likes to eat fish.

She scratched the sofa.

I love my cat a lot.

Mars (Jeremy Buttigieg) 1. In the solar system there are eight planets and Mars is one of them.

2. Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the second smallest planet in the solar system after Mercury.

3. Mars has a hard rocky surface that you could walk on.

4. Mars surface is dry and much of it is covered with reddish dust and rocks.

5. When viewed from Earth, Mars appears to be the colour red.

I am a car (Matteo Emmanuele Camilleri 4.1) My name is Lamborghini and I am a Sports Car. I am a brand new car.

I have gold polished paint, a powerful engine, shiny rims, comfortable leather seats, butterfly doors and a spoiler.

I go very fast and I open and close my butterfly doors.

I compete with other cars in a race all day.

Matteo the driver drives me and he is always happy when he drives me.

I like to visit some countries where they do races.

Once I raced in a competition and I came in the first place.

I will never forget that day. On that day I won a trophy.

I enjoy being a car because I am one of the fastest cars in the whole world.

When I was turned into a fish! (Paula Marie Vella) Once a bad witch tricked me and turned me into a fish. I ended up in the ocean. I was a clown fish. I had orange and white scales and orange fins. I was small and tiny. I swam freely in the deep ocean. I met an angle fish her name was Pixie. Pixie had blue scales and yellow fins. We saw a shoal of fish, sea corals and even a submarine. While I was swimming I was trapped in a fishing net by some fishermen. My friend Pixie told Lee the shark to come and save me. Luckily Lee the shark saved my life.

Then the magic ended. I enjoyed being a fish because I made new friends.

Kemm gergret miegħi! Kien il-mimmi ta’ għajnejha. Għalhekk, hi keċċietni ‘l barra u issa qatt ma rrid nara qattus b’ għajnejja. Ħadd minn ġo dik id-dar ma qabeż għalija. Kemm nixtieq li għadni ngħix ma’ Martha, Jack, Mary u Pawlu. Jien għadni nħossni ħatja ta’ dak li għamilt u nixtieq li xi darba nerġa’ mmur ġo dik id-dar u jħalluni noqgħod hemm. Min jaf? Kemm ilni ngħix fit-triq għaddejt minn ħafna avventuri. L-aktar waħda għal qalbi u li dejjem nirrakkonta hi meta rajt tifla ta’ madwar għaxar snin. Kont għint lil din it-tifla meta kienet mitlufa qalb folla nies. Għintha ssib lillġenituri tagħha. Għadni niftakar qisni lbieraħ! Miegħi dakinhar kien hemm ukoll it-tlett iħbieb tiegħi; Pufpuf, Belċo u Skott. Kuljum tarana nduru flgħelieqi u nipruvaw insibu xi ftit ikel minn hawn u minn hemm. Jien ġieli mmur nisraq xi biċċa laħam ħamra tajba jew inkella noqgħod indur u ngħaqqad biex nara x’ niddobba mit-triq. Ħafna mit-tfal jibżgħu minni u joqogħdu jagħtuni bis-sieq. Ma jafux li jien kelba li nħobb lil kulħadd! Billejl immur nistkenn taħt xi siġra jew bank li jkun hemm. Meta tkun ix-xita arani sejra nistkenn taħt xi karozza.

Jien ma tantx togħġobni din il-ħajja u nixtieq li jekk ma mmurx lura għand Martha u l-familja, jaddottani xi ħadd li jkun lest li jieħu ħsiebu u jħobbni.

The Talking Fish (Wayne Camilleri) Yesterday, I decided to visit a pet shop and buy a goldfish. I was very excited to have my first pet. I paid for my goldfish and promised the shop owner that I would take care of it.

To my surprise, once I put the goldfish in a bowl it started talking. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I rubbed my eyes and touched my ears several times. I wasn’t dreaming. The fish was talking to me. The talking fish started complaining that it was hungry. I obeyed her and gave her some food which I had bought from the petshop together with it. It sat quietly in a corner eating its food. I looked attentively at the bowl, maybe, it will speak again. So, I decided to name it. As soon as I said its name, Goldy, it started talking again. It began narrating million things. The most exciting thing it said was a story about its life.

Goldy’s mother was sold exactly after it was born, so it didn’t remember her. From that moment, Goldy was alone even though other fish were in the big dull tank. The only thing that Goldy prayed for was that someday it would meet her mother or someone to take care of it. I was very curious about the fact that it could speak. It immediately replied that the owner of the pet shop taught it how to talk without knowing. Goldy would hear him speak and learn new words each day. It talked about the many times that it tried to talk to the shop owner but he took no notice of it.

Goldy was relieved when I chose it to take home with me. Goldy believed that it would be happier here with me. I was proud to hear it say those words. I promised Goldy that I would always keep her company and when I go to school, I would leave the radio on. I felt sorry for it and that’s why I did that promise.

Goldy, the talking fish is now my best friend.

My Greatest Wish – Riana Galea, Yr 5.2 Italy, Germany, Spain and England are all countries that I have been to. But visiting Disneyland Paris in France has always been my greatest wish.

I have been dreaming of going on several rides. Some of the rides are dangerous, therefore I will ask my mother to accompany me. Other rides are easy and simple and I can go with my brother, Isaac. Some of the rides are on a train and they pass through several tunnels. I also know that there is a ride on an aeroplane. I wish to meet some Disney characters like Snowhite, Cinderella, Mickey Mouse, Sofia and Minnie Mouse, but the character I like most is Beauty and the Beast.

I dream of attending the morning street show where the Disney characters walk through the streets and meet people always hoping that Beauty will choose me to go and dance with her.

Everyone talks about “It’s a small world” which makes me curious and wishing to visit it while there. And what about a big and tasty burger from Buffalo Bill? Or a big hot dog?

All these things will make it a really exciting holiday full of fun and adventure. Going there is my greatest wish… a dream come true.

Wara ftit sibt ruħi ġo laboratorju u kien hemm buttuna li fuqha kien hemm miktub “agħfas din il-buttuna”. Jien kont konfuża u għafast il-buttuna. Wara dħalt ġo dinja ta’ Dorothy. Bdejt miexja u ltqajt ma Dorothy u l-ħbieb tagħha. Dorothy qaltli, “Isa, isa għax ġejja s-saħħara l-kattiva!” U jien tlaqt niġri bis-saħħa kollha, imma hi kellha ix-xadini li jtiru u laħquna. Qabduna millħwejjeġ u ħadna ġol-kastell tas-saħħara u għalquna ġo ċella.

Kont ilni ġimgħa ġoċ-ċella ma’ Dorothy u l-ħbieb tagħha. Ixxadini kienu jagħtuna tazza ilma u kisra ħobż kuljum. Darba ġietni idea brillanti. Jien kont smajt li jekk is-saħħara tagħmlilha l-ilma fuqha, tmut. Allura, darba is-saħħara ġiet tiċċekkja fuqna u jien kelli tazza ilma u waddabta fuqha. Mr Matthew Cassar Yr 6.1 Imagine you are an alien (Alessandro Vella) Hello, my name is James, I’m eight thousand years old. I come from a planet named Mars. I’m a very rare species because I’m immortal. I am an assassin for the company hunter.

I have many weapons consisting of a big leg gun, a blue lightsabre and a magical wand that I use to get to the location of my prey. I think the job of an assassin isn’t risky when you’re immortal and have the galaxy’s best weapons.

I’m never down in the dumps and I don’t have much time to go home because I’m always tied up. It’s not a problem for me that I don’t have a family because in order to wield a lightsabre or a wand you can’t have a wife or kids on Mars.

It’s never raining cats and dogs on Mars. I also have a sharp knife on my hand that I never use. I also have a wooden shield in case I need to climb something. You have to stay on your toes to be an assassin.

I’ve been hearing about Earth, it’s quite beautiful but you guys need to step your game up in technology. I’ve run into someone that said he was from Earth. His name was Neil Armstrong. He was wearing some weird space suit with Apollo69 written on it.
