At the Lakeside home of Chef Joho and his wife Cynthia, enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime culinary experience for 10 guests. Created and prepared by two favorite culinary experts: renowned Chef Joho, chef/owner of Eiffel Tower Restaurant in Las Vegas, the former Everest, and current collaborator on Miru and Tre Dita/St. Regis, and local phenomenon, Chef Cheyenne, chef/owner of Houndstooth. Complementing the menu will be a fine cheese course by Deb Sailor, owner, The Cheese Lady.
Enjoy a 7-night trip by Signal Travel and Tours. Airfare and accommodations are included with VIP experiences at the beautiful Bloedel Reserve, Heronswood Gardens founded by Dan Hinkley, and Chihuly Garden and Glass at the base of the iconic Space Needle.

Enjoy a VIP tour of the iconic Farnsworth House in Plano, Illinois, designed by the great Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, pioneer of modern architecture. Upon arrival at the visitor center, enjoy the gallery exhibit, gift shop, and brief a video orientation. Up to 10 guests then proceed by chauferred golf carts along the Fox River to the Farnsworth House for a VIP tour with executive director, Scott Mehaffey, followed by wine and cheese. Date to be arranged with Farnsworth House. 3:00 to 5:15 pm CT.
Enjoy an afternoon stroll with owners of three distinctive properties on Chicago’s North Shore. First, visit the 1920s French chateau-style Harold Florsheim House in Highland Park, by Chicago architect Ernest Grunsfeld, designer of the Adler Planetarium. Landscape architects: Jens Jensen with Alfred Caldwell. Next stop is The Gardens at 900 in Lake Forest, the gardens of designer, Craig Bergmann, and original complex and gardens of the historic Elawa Farm, originally designed by architect David Adler in 1917. Your afternoon culminates at the Charles F. Glore House in Lake Forest, a 1954 Usonianstyle design by Frank Lloyd Wright. Gardens by Roy Diblik and Craig Bergmann.
The University of Chicago campus has the distinction of being designated as a botanical garden. The original gardens of Beatrice Farrand and the gloriously restored quads by Hoerr Schaudt present a stunning background to the architecture—not to be missed. Stroll, meander, and be wowed! Your tour guides will be University of Chicago Professor Emeritus Frank Richter and Fernwood Board Member Theresa Richter.
