WHETHER IT’S A PERSONAL OR PROFESSIONAL ANNIVERSARY, HITTING THE TEN-YEAR MARK IS A BIG DEAL. BRETT AND TARA HEITZ OF SUCH GREAT HEIGHTS MARKETING REACHED THAT MILESTONE THIS YEAR.
Both have backgrounds in marketing and retail, and Tara is currently a physician liaison for Beaumont in addition to co-spearheading Such Great Heights Marketing. Their joint passion is promoting small businesses, especially restaurants. “Our bread-and-butter – pun intended – is social media management and photo shoots for restaur-ants,” says Brett. “We also design menus, update websites, handle email marketing and run social media bootcamps. It's a lot of fun and gives us plenty of excuses to eat out!” Their commitment to their clients led to them being named the Berkley Business of the Year in 2019.
Along with collaborating with restaurants, Such Great Heights Marketing works on Berkley city-wide events like the Berkley Pub Crawl. Anyone who’s attended in recent years has seen their work on logos, t-shirts and flyers. (Brett’s personal fave Pub Crawl design was the 2018 art featuring the iconic Berkley marquee.)
Brett and Tara are also active members of the Berkley Area Chamber of Commerce and its marketing committee. If anyone so much as whispers the word “restaurant,” they’ll have fun ideas about how to get the word out. Living and working in a tight-knit community has many benefits – as devoted residents of the city, they’re tapped into Berkley’s walk-ability, unique shops and restaurants and various events.
BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THE HUMANS who contribute to the success of Such Great Heights Marketing! The company also has a Chief Fetching Officer, a Chief Tasting Officer and a Chief of Sass, named Finnigan, Frankie, and Ella respectively. All are rescues and have their own Instagram account at @RescuedNuggets. Their humans are enthusiastic promoters of rescues and their owners, donating a portion of their fees to rescues and working with contests and events aimed at raising funds for their canine friends.
Brett and Tara appreciate the energy of their C-suite officers – their four-footed colleagues not only boost morale, they make sure the Such Great Heights team hits the streets and stays on top of what’s happening in the city.
