I just returned from New York, where I attended the national LAMC (Latin Alternative Music Conference) conference, an event with a rich history of 24 consecutive years. It's worth noting that LAMC also adapted during the pandemic with a digital format, and since then, they have been holding two conferences per year—one digital and the other in-person in New York City. The purpose of this year's conference was to attend as many events and forums as possible, so we can implement various tools in the development of our artists in the present and future.

LAMC provides all that and much more. Meeting people in the most important sectors of the music industry and staying in touch with old friends and colleagues is always very beneﬁcial for the business. In the coming months, Roster Magazine will undergo changes. We will start featuring radio playlists and charts from different countries. Another thing coming very soon is that Roster will become an APP, allowing us to access news in real-time.

I want to congratulate Inés Gaviria, Meïa Santiago, and José Antonio Esparza (WAHU) on their birthdays.

Welcome Ceshia Ubau

Ceshia Ubau was born in Managua, Nicaragua. She is a singer-songwriter and psychologist residing in Costa Rica. Her music blends Central American folk with new sounds from around the world. She has participated in international singer-songwriter festivals in Brazil and Colombia. Additionally, she has presented her music in Central America, the United States, Mexico, and Europe during her "Habría que sembrar girasoles" tour. Ceshia has also been involved in human rights campaigns with organizations like UNICEF, UNESCO, and the European Union. In 2019, she was one of the winners of the sixth edition of the IBERMUSICAS songwriting creation award and won third place with her song "Mayahuabá" in the World Music category of the International Songwriting Competition in 2020. In 2022, she released her second album, "LUZ," which she describes as a love song to the world. The album was considered for nominations in the "Best Singer-Songwriter Album" and "Album of the Year" categories at the Latin Grammy Awards. In 2023, she was admitted as a member of the Latin Recording Academy. Through her music, Ceshia sings to honor life and shares her vision of Nicaraguan and Latin American reality based on her personal growth experiences.
