Julia Vari, the jazz musician, presents a version of "La gata bajo la lluvia"

We often talk about pop stars, but there are also valuable artists in other genres. Such is the case with one of the Hispanic figures in jazz, the Mexican-American singer and pianist Julia Vari, who resides in Miami and is facing a busy end of the year. On one hand, she is promoting a beautiful version she made of "La gata bajo la lluvia," a classic from Rocío Dúrcal's repertoire. Julia also announces that on November 24th, the song "Noche de paz," which she recorded on piano and vocals with Puerto Rican pianist José Negroni, will be released on digital platforms. For 2024, she is also preparing some novelties, such as the album "Somos," in collaboration with the Negroni's Trio. "I am very grateful to those who have supported me along the way and excited about what is happening and will happen in my career," she comments. Julia recorded an album with the legendary Armando Manzanero, a song with Francisco "Pancho" Céspedes, and was nominated for the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

The singer, pianist, and songwriter stands out for her presence on stage, vocal technique, and musical arrangements. Backed by five albums, 15 years of experience, and a recent nomination for the Hollywood Music Media Awards, she has performed at numerous prestigious theaters and festivals and has embarked on major tours in the United States, Spain, and Latin America. She is currently finishing recording an album in collaboration with the Negroni's Trio, which will be released in 2024.

Inés Gaviria captivates with her single 'Yo te imaginé'. The song was co-written by Lala Moré and Natalia Bautista, and was recorded at 5ta Estudios in Bogotá Colombian singer Inés Gaviria presents her new single "Yo te imaginé", where she talks about the surprise of finding the person you always dreamed of in the least expected moment, whether by chance or destiny, The song is now available on digital platforms. This song, co-written by Lala Moré and Natalia Bautista, is part of an EP in which the songs were mostly composed, produced, mixed, and mastered by women, in order to highlight the role of women in the Latin American music industry, give them their place, and of course, appreciate their talent.In her first single called "A primera vista" (At First Sight), Inés addressed her experience in motherhood; now in this second single "Yo te imaginé", the singer-songwriter delivers a romantic, inspiring, and emotional song that, thanks to its pop arrangement with impactful guitars, gives the listener a very pleasant narrative and atmosphere that will make them feel like the protagonists of a scene from a very romantic movie, because they will surely identify immediately with the lyrics. This song was recorded at 5ta. Estudios in Bogotá, mixed in Miami, and mastered in Los Angeles. It featured the collaboration of María Elisa Ayerbe (mixing), Jett Galindo (mastering), and Manuela Ocampo (recording engineer).Thanks to the scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Culture, of which Inés emerged as the winner, the Latin Grammy-nominated artist will be performing this song and her entire repertoire live on a tour in her country, accompanied by Andrea Botero as a special guest, hoping to soon cross borders and take her talent to other countries like Mexico. Inés Gavira is a Colombian singer and songwriter, nominated twice for the Latin Grammy in 2006 for "Best New Artist" and "Best Female Pop Vocal Album", and with a Gold Record in Colombia for her first album "A mi manera" (In My Own Way), which includes the songs "De repente" (Suddenly) and "¿Qué pasó?" (What Happened?). The talented young woman grew up surrounded by art and travel due to her father's diplomatic career. Inés planted roots in various corners of the world such as Switzerland, Greece, the United States, the Czech Republic, and Chile, the country that brought her closer to music. It was there where she was gifted her first guitar and where she met the musical groups that would later become her greatest influence in her artistic career. Upon returning to Colombia to finish her high school studies, she participated in the Intercollegiate Festival of "Radioacktiva", the popular youth radio station, where she obtained second place and represented Bogotá in the national competition the following year.In 2001, after graduating as a lawyer in Colombia, Inés decided to move to Miami to fulfill her true dream: studying music and Music Business. Throughout her career, she had the opportunity to perform in different spaces and share the stage with artists such as Franco de Vita, Ricardo Arjona, Alberto Plaza, Gianmarco, Santiago Cruz, and Juan Fernando Velasco.Since 2020, Inés has been working as a Vocal Coach for the renowned TV program "Factor X" Colombia, a job she alternates with her role as the lead female voice in "Cuando Seas Grande" (When You Grow Up), the musical that pays tribute to the wonderful years of Rock in Spanish.

Rick Carrillo And his song titled "Pintora" My story dates back to when I was a child, my parents used to sing songs to me and I would sing along with them, unknowingly honing my voice and understanding the importance of singing. In addition to being a reader, my father was a writer, and I consider words to be very valuable in my household. So much so that we were never punished physically, instead, we would gather around the table for dialogue. I grew up listening to Trova, from Silvio Rodríguez to Alejandro Filio, and when I started singing covers, my genres were varied: Reggae, Trova, Boleros, Indie, forming bands with other artists, and this is where my collective composition exercise began. At what age did you realize you were meant to be an artist? (Smiles) Oh! That hasn't happened yet, but two years ago, with the death of my mother, I thought and said, "I have a few songs now and I think it's time to bring them back." Cafés that showcase troubadours opened their doors to me, a beautiful community where I began to believe in my work and pursue a musical career. "I believe graphic art influenced us a lot, my brother is a painter and filmmaker, another is a photographer, but music struck me from a different place.“ How old were you when you launched as an artist? 15 years old. In music class, we formed a band, my brother on the keyboard, a friend on drums, another on guitar, and I was the voice. We played covers at that time and I became very involved in the social movement in Guatemala and met other artists, with whom I would form my first band called "Nueva Resistencia." We sang Trova covers, which I considered a gift. We sang together for 5 years, from 2001 to 2005. Do you think an artist can separate themselves from their work? Wow! It's difficult to separate from the work because it encompasses our feelings and is a part of us. Often, the works are created for oneself, not for the world. In one way or another, the audience identifies with it. What message does music convey? It's a language that is difficult to comprehend due to its dynamic waves and vibrations. "My own music is a beautiful therapy, to endure and compress our feelings. I have songs that I've cried over so much that now I can sing them from a different place."

Speaking about the song "Pintora" How did this song come about? "Pintora" is a very interesting case because I wrote the first two verses about three years ago, and the song was supposed to be called "Pintor," a small tribute to the men who have illuminated my life: fathers, brothers, friends, because I have the privilege of living with wonderful beings who fight against machismo and try to build a new idea. I fell madly in love with a wonderful woman a year ago, and when I revisited the "Pintor" song and reread it, I realized that it is a love song, a love from the old days. Suddenly, I said, "Damn, this is an 'I love you'!" I started rewriting it, and to my surprise, I realized that I didn't need to change anything, I just needed to finish it focused on the woman who drives me crazy at that moment. CONTÁCTANOS:
