Wine cellar PX was inspired by the experience of naturalness, calm and containment that a cave can generate to our senses. Through the selection of materials that convey its essence and purity, they produce an expressive, apparent, genuine and serene atmosphere.

A neutral color palette is configured and the space is enveloped in different sequences of layers giving movement, expression and contrast to the area. Accompanied by a soft and indirect lighting that helps to the correct conservation of the wines, and the creation of intimate and unique moments.

The structure that contains the bottles was thought in a way that it crowns and holds the space, reflecting character, sequence and contrast.

The structure´s composition is given through lead screws and locknuts, which are attached to the slab by stainless steel angles.

It also seeks to the greatest exposure of the materials that compose it and the elements it contains.

After that, a concrete layer of 10 cm covers the bottom´s structure to generate more rigidity and support to it.

The structure adapts to the space where it is conceived, because part of it is under a staircase, allowing the exhibition of the area, its structure, composition and materials. Also it generates movement and a sequence of layers that were asked to be reflect in the atmosphere.

Whereas the lead screws are the vertical elements of the structure, wood blocks are the horizontal ones which, while supported by the locknuts and drilled by the lead screws generate a space where the wine bottles can be rest and be exposed. Over 600 bottles can be placed through the structure that houses the cellar.
