Domus Dei Academic project Particular context not directly within the walls of the archaeological enclosure. An interesting challenge that involved covering the remains of the ancient temple of Dionysus. The project, while focusing on the archaeological area, has partly addressed the problems of the urban context, in an attempt to reduce the difficulties in reaching and using the remains. For this reason, the project was first of all confronted with the need to recover a relationship with the territory of ancient and present Pompeii, sometimes transformed and degraded. An integral stage of the new itinerary is the visit to the remains of the Temple of Dionysus recovered with the new intervention. The configuration of the new cover is not limited to giving protection but does justice to the small jewel that is inside, with a path that reveals it completely only in the terminal part.

Pompeii, Regio VII, 5 - The new Antiquarium at Forum Baths Thesis project Designing in archaeology, in a stratified and rich context of history as could be the Pompeii case, it means operating directly with the memory of the past, in symbiosis with architecture and artifacts filled by great cultural and social value. The main difficulty and the delicate task of the designer in carrying out this operation lies in the ability to bring and get out the memory of the past inherent to the place of belonging and to make it usable for the present. The archeological project is the bearer of this responsibility and acts as a link between the past, present and future. The aim of the project is to engage and consolidate a new archaeological focus, developing it through a museum and service center for visitors to offer a more complete vision of the Insula and to allow a more appropriate and suitable use for one of the most prestigious and famous archaeological site in the world.
