FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT’S DESK
Jeff Drake, Superintendent
Dear Otter Staff and Families,
As another school year comes to a close, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our staff. Your dedication, creativity, and energy have been the driving force behind a truly remarkable year. Because of your commitment, our students have flourished, achieving outstanding milestones in academics, the arts, and athletics These accomplishments are a direct reflection of the supportive, enriching environment you cultivate every single day. We are also deeply grateful to our community for your ongoing support, partnership, and trust.
We are blessed to work with our community’s children. Whether in the classroom, competing in athletics or performing in the arts, it is very rewarding to watch their talents and confidence blossom. I had the pleasure of watching a group of Key Club members (mostly seniors) play a game of reverse charades and to see them just enjoying one another and having fun provided a sense of peace and joy. The same can be said listening to the reflections of our fourth grade students on their experiences in the Prairie Science Class. Their laughter while watching the video capturing highlights of the year was contagious.
To our group of seniors, congratulations on reaching this momentous milestone! Your leadership, resilience, and spirit have left an indelible mark on our halls, and your presence will be greatly missed next year. As you step out into the world, we wish you the absolute best in all your future endeavors. We are incredibly proud of the individuals you have become, and we hope you will always remember your roots here and continue to stay in touch as you write your next exciting chapters. Have a safe, restful, and wonderful summer!

ALC students have enjoyed using our new ping pong tables, playing trivia in an advisory competition, celebrating everyone ’ s birthday with a big birthday party and prom. On one of the last days of school, all ALC students and staff will be heading to the lake for a day of swimming, paddling, dock fishing, and a catered meal.
Spring activities once again had a very successful year. The highlights include several track and field records that were broken as well as many of our athletes competing for state qualification. Our baseball team continues to move through the playoffs, reaching the section semi-finals at the time of this report. Both boys and girls golf also were able to advance to the section finals that will be held in early June. Follow us on social media for all of our activity updates!
