Dr. Jason Frye Dr. Jason T. Frye is Board Certified in Family Medicine, and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. Dr. Frye is a native of Arizona growing up in Phoenix. Dr. Frye has served the Mesa/Gilbert community as a family physician since 2001, and has helped patients with weight loss and aesthetic services since 2007. Dr. Frye has a calm demeanor and is a good listener who always puts his patient’s care first. He is constantly striving to learn the latest techniques in order to offer the best services available to his patients, whether it is for their general health or anti-aging needs.
Cameron Moskos PA-C Cameron Moskos grew up in Myrtle Beach and went to school in Charleston, South Carolina, where she finished her Master of Science – Physician Assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with a minor in Spanish from Clemson University. Already experienced in women’s health including Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement treatment she has added aesthetic treatments to her ever growing list of skills and experience. Cameron has a passion to help women feel better about their health and build confidence in their appearance by treating the patient from the inside out.

Dr. Eric Shreder Dr. Eric O. Shreder is Board Certified in Family Medicine, and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. He has trained extensively in dermatology as well as facial rejuvenation, with some of the world’s most pre-eminent plastic surgeons and dermatologists. Over the years, patients have relied on Dr Shreder’s artful skill in the use of cosmetic fillers and botulinum toxin (Botox) to combat the appearance of aging, as well as scar reduction. His expertise in laser, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), and ultrasound technology to target specific concerns, helps patients make an informed decision based on their particular needs and budget. Dr Shreder has also employed Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) for treating sports injuries and to improve healing for over 10 years. He has strong interests in physical conditioning (he holds a 3rd degree Black Belt in Kempo Karate), diet, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and anti-aging medicine.

INTRO TO AESTHETICS Our skin is the largest organ in the body so we should take care of it as we would our other organs. How we take care of the skin depends on several different factors. Our skin’s needs change periodically just as our body’s needs change. This can be attributed to lifestyle choices, seasonal changes, outside factors such as pollution, and our genetic makeup. Understanding the anatomy of the skin can help us in caring for it as well as choosing the appropriate treatment plan to correct damage and/or improve the quality of our skin.
EPIDERMIS: This is the outermost layer of the skin; the part that we see. Within this layer we have flat, scaly cells which lay on top; rounder fuller cells directly beneath and melanocyte cells which give our skin color. This layer regenerates daily. Skin care treatments that target this layer would be your daily home care products, professional facial treatments such as dermaplaning and chemical peels that focus on deep exfoliation, and laser treatments such as Photofacials. Treatments that target the dermis will also impact the appearance of the epidermis. DERMIS: Lies directly under the Epidermis and is often referred to as the living layer. Within this layer we have blood and lymph vessels, sweat and oil glands, and hair follicles. This layer also contains the connective tissues collagen and elastin which gives our skin support, flexibility and strength. Treatments that focus on strengthening and rebuilding the dermis are laser resurfacing, laser scar and stretch mark reduction, microneedling and Ultherapy. Most facial fillers are injected into this layer and this is also the layer targeted for laser hair removal. SUBCUTANEOUS: This layer is primarily made up of fat cells. REGENERATIVE MEDICINE Harnessing The Body’s Ability To Heal Itself There is a magical substance found in our own bodies that can speed wound healing, mend tendons and muscle tears, improve hair growth, and restore youthful fullness to the face. What is it? Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).
WHAT IS PRP? Our blood contains small, solid components: red cells, white cells, and platelets. Platelets contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors (proteins that regulate cell growth and division) which are an important component in healing injuries. PRP is produced by first drawing the patient’s blood. The platelets are then separated from the other cells by spinning the blood in a centrifuge. The platelets can then be injected into an injury with the aid of ultrasound to precisely locate the area of concern, or driven into the skin through microneedling to repair injured tissue, stimulate new hair growth, increase collagen production, and enhance stem cell (mother cells that have the ability to proliferate and become any type of cell in the body) production.

PRP FOR HAIR RESTORATION It has been said that losing one’s hair can be more traumatic on body image than weight gain. PRP for hair restoration has been providing positive results in this new area of medicine. There may be many reasons for hair loss. including genetic factors, stress, hormones, medications or even hair care products. One common factor in androgenetic alopecia (male or female pattern baldness) is an increased production of DHT hormone. Testosterone is converted into DHT through enzymes found in the body and is 5 times more potent than testosterone. At least half of all men will experience hair loss due to increased production of DHT. While women typically have lower levels of testosterone than men, even minute traces of DHT can cause hair loss. In a nutshell, DHT wants our hair follicles dead. We take a two-step approach in application of PRP for hair restoration. One to two weeks prior to your treatment, we perform a blood test to check your platelets to ensure you are a candidate for treatment. Your session begins with pictures and the application of a topical numbing cream. Your blood is then drawn and spun down in the centrifuge to extract PRP. Your PRP is first applied topically through microneedling (see page 24 for a detailed description of microneedling). Dr Shreder then injects PRP into the scalp. A series of treatments may be required based on the extent of hair loss, with maintenance treatments periodically. We also recommend using hair care products at home that contain DHT blockers as well as a Human Growth Factor Serum to maintain your results. The use of PRP restores the hair follicle with renewed blood supply and vital proteins to reinvigorate hair growth, increase the density of the hair and prolong the active growth cycle.
PRP FOR SKIN REJUVENATION You may have heard this referred to as a vampire facial or vampire facelift. We employ the same two-step approach as with hair restoration, utilizing microneedling along with injections of PRP.
