The Blue and Gold Times Fenn School News Channukah, Hannukah, Happiness By Blayne Dee and Jacob Dudley
Shalom! Channukah is here. Most Jewish people gather to celebrate this special holiday. The story behind it is that a group of Jews in Canaan {Israel} were not trying to hide from the invasion of the Syrians. So the Syrians made a new temple and destroyed the old one. Then a group of Jews called Macabees banned together and fought a war and guess what, they won. So after they won, they fixed the temple then they searched the temple but all they could find was a small pitcher of oil which was only supposed to last one night but it lasted 8--thus the miracle of Channukah. Today we celebrate with gifts, food, and dreidel playing, but we most importantly honor the miracle by lighting the menorah every night for 8 nights!

There will be snacks and drinks so bring some extra money. All the proceeds will go to the school senate, and the money will go to a cause called Kids to Kids. The Monday Night Thriller By Jrod and Dylan Volman
Monday night, Pats vs. Jets, the winner will most likely win the AFC East, and go to the super bowl. Computer projections say that the winner of this game has an 80 percent chance of winning the AFC East, but there’s a lot more on the line than the AFC East. Tom Brady is tied with Brett Favre for most consecutive home wins as a starter at 25 wins each, and if Tom wins on Monday at home, he will hold the record. Another thing on the line is that Bill Belicheck has never lost to a team twice in a regular season. The last thing on the line is just bragging rights for the rivalry. The winner of this game would become 10-2 and the loser will be 9-3 and be a game back in the AFC East. Mainly, the winner of this game will be the best team in the NFL. This Monday, we hope you enjoy the Monday night thriller.
