Reynaers Nominated As Aluminium Systems Company Of The Year

Reynaers Aluminium UK has been nominated as ‘Aluminium Systems Company of the Year’ in the National Fenestration Awards, a testament to its commitment to product innovation, quality and service to its growing customer base.

‘Aluminium Systems Company of the Year’ is one of 11 awards Reynaers has been nominated for, recognising the work the windows, doors and facades specialist does to constantly develop products to support high-spec performance and to make installation and fabrication as easy as possible. With dedicated product development teams in the UK and at the company’s global headquarters in Belgium, Reynaers uses in house-testing to constantly update products and develop new systems. This enables the business to support large bespoke commercial projects as well as developing windows and doors for the trade and retail sector that have thermal efficiency ratings as low as 0.8W/mK² without compromising on slim sightlines. By opening a new warehouse last year, the company has also taken steps to ensure products can be consistently delivered with short lead times when needed.

Reynaers achieves a triple PAS 24 on its market-leading sliding doors

The elegant Concept Patio 130 lift and slide and HiFinity ultra-slim sliding door systems, which both offer the sought-after open corner option, in addition to Reynaers’ superior sustainability option, MasterPatio, have all achieved updated intense and rigorous PAS (Performance Assessment Specification) 24 security certification.

Reynaers Aluminium Group is committed to product development and testing with access to seven test centres, an extensive product development team and over 200 engineers through its global network. PAS 24 is a standard of independent testing to measure the security performance of windows and doorsets to ensure they can resist a level of attack from an opportunist burglar.

ConceptPatio 130 is the group’s most popular lift and slide door system and holds a UK marketleading position. It is robust, wellengineered, Doc L compliant, highperformance, competitively priced and, like all Reynaers’ systems, built to last the test of time.

HiFinity, an in-line system, is the group’s high-end option, with its ultra-slim profile, which offers a minimalistic look. It can also be fabricated to a height of over 4 metres and can achieve a U-value as low as 1.0W/mK².

MasterPatio is another highperformance door system offering superior insulation and recycled components, which makes it an ideal sustainability upgrade for any building project. This system can achieve a U-value as low as 0.82W/mK² and is one of nine Reynaers systems that are Cradleto-Cradle certified. The plan, in line with Reynaers Act – the group’s sustainability strategy - is to have a further nine systems Cradle-toCradle certified by 2024.

Due to the slimline design of many of Reynaers’ aluminium solutions, the mechanisms are hidden from sight to preserve the clean lines required for high-end, design-led installations.

The slimline nature of the products and the demand for concealed components means building in additional functionality and security measures poses a challenge. However, as John McComb, Technical Services Director at Reynaers, explains, the product development team thrive on such challenges, designing components from scratch where needed. He said: “Product development and innovation is central to Reynaers’ ethos. We are not a company that stands still, instead we have dedicated teams that constantly work to enhance and upgrade our products, continually moving the capability forwards. The launch of a product does not mark the end of its evolution, even when a product is enjoying market success we will continue to research and test how we can bring even more additional value to it.”

New brochures showcase how classic heritage range meets modern innovation

Two new brochures have been designed to showcase the expanding range of heritage profiles available from Reynaers Aluminium UK, which combine traditional aesthetics with modern innovations.

By bringing the products together, the brochures make it easier for readers to see the breadth of the range and identify which style is best suited to their project. The commercial brochure is designed for architects and specifiers to view the range and its application in large refurbishment and regeneration projects, or simply those with a traditional aesthetic.

The ‘Reynaers at Home’ brochure is designed for homeowners and residential architects to see how premium heritage windows and doors can help to maintain the traditional look of the property whilst offering slim sightlines and unobstructed views.

Terry Ledwith, Reynaers’ Head of Sales for Trade and Retail, said: “Heritage products are continuing to go from strength to strength as a result of the huge interest in character properties and renovation.

“While it is the style of the property that homeowners are attracted to, it is common to see doors and windows replaced with modern systems that help to cut energy bills through improved thermal efficiency as well as improving security.

“Unobtrusive slimline aluminium frames offer a way to replace windows without compromising on the character of a house – and work well in extending properties. In the SL38, Reynaers is also able to provide a traditional finish, which is what many homeowners are looking for – but with the benefits of modern innovation.”

The brochures include the recently expanded SlimLine 68 (SL68) range, which has a 68mm frame depth and is ideal for replacing windows without the need for further alterations. There is also the option to add a new lock plate to the SL38 ultra slim line door system that has been designed to complement the heritage look.
