Enhance Security and Access Control with Dortronics Industrial Magnetic Locks

IN THE EVER-EVOLVING WORLD OF SECURITY AND ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS, FENCE CONTRACTORS PLAY A CRUCIAL ROLE IN ENSURING THE SAFETY OF COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTIES. ACCORDING TO SKIP BURNHAM, NATIONAL SALES MANAGER, WITH DORTRONICS, A LEADING PROVIDER OF AMERICAN-MADE ACCESS CONTROL PRODUCTS, ONE KEY COMPONENT THAT CAN SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCE SECURITY MEASURES IS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DORTRONICS INDUSTRIAL MAGNETIC LOCKS.

THE COMPANY’S 1000 SERIES OF INDUSTRIAL MAGNETIC LOCKS OFFERS A MULTITUDE OF BENEFITS, INCLUDING:

Unparalleled Strength and Durability. Engineered to provide unmatched strength and durability, and constructed with high-quality materials, these locks can withstand heavy usage and harsh environments. The locks are suitable for interior or exterior applications and are specifically designed to secure doors and gates even in harsh conditions. All electronics are sealed in epoxy and protected by the stainless steel housing cover. The housing, armature, and exposed face of the electric lock are nickel-plated to resist rust and corrosion, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Fail-Safe Operation.

All Dortronics electromagnetic locks are failsafe, releasing instantly upon command or loss of power. With no moving parts to wear, stick, or bind, both locking and unlocking are accomplished with ease and efficiency. The absence of bolt travel time or misalignment concerns further enhances the reliability and convenience of these locks.

Universal Mounting. The standard #1000 model is supplied with an adjustable mounting plate for use on outswing doors and gates. For inswing door and gate installations, the #TJ1000 unit comes with an angle lock mounting plate and an armature “Z” bracket. Any 1000 series lock can be converted in the field for inswing door and gate applications by adding the 1099-00 Conversion kit. Additionally, an optional XCF conduit fitting is available for exterior gate control wiring applications, providing flexibility and compatibility for various installation requirements.

Low Current Draw.

Locks in this series can be operated on either 12 or 24 VDC and feature an efficient design that requires only 170mA @ 24 Volts DC to maintain the rated 1200-pound holding force. The well-confined magnetic field, combined with the built-in spike and surge suppression system, allows for seamless integration with any access control system. For remote monitoring, an optional integrated Door Position Switch may be specified by suffixing XD. Whether controlled individually or simultaneously from one or several locations, these locks are ideal for securing manual or automatically operated doors and gates.

Extended Service Life.

The rugged design and durable construction of these locks assure virtually endless actuations without fear of electrical fatigue or mechanical breakdown. Manufactured to the most stringent quality control standards, Dortronics offers a lifetime warranty on all electromagnetic locks.

“Our Industrial Magnetic Locks provide a robust, reliable and efficient security solution,” says Burnham. “With their fail-safe operation, extended service life, universal mounting options, and low current draw, they offer unparalleled strength and convenience for a wide range of applications, and can significantly enhance the overall effectiveness of access control systems.”
