SAMMIE You have been eye candy for the women for a while, Your new EP is titled Satin Sheets, tell us about this project and why you titled it as so? I’m just in a great place in my life where I just want to be loved, make love, exude love, convey love, and spread love. I’ve never done just a sensual sexual project as a body of work. I’ve always given spurts of sexy, some sex but never just the entire project. So I started thinking like in my era, I haven't seen one of those projects done since Pretty Ricky. I've tapped into this level of groundedness and confidence where I want to let that side of me out. Satin Sheets came to my mind. I released my first single called Kitty Cry in January, and that has taken a life of its own on IG, with all of these women expressing their heart and owning their sexy and so that's exactly what I wanted it to do. This exudes their confidence and allows women to control their own narrative, and they seem to be having fun with it. You alone are a vibe to be on, so what made you team up with Eric Bellinger in the Vibes On Vibes Tour, and why should everyone attend? Eric Bellinger is a prolific songwriter and amazing artist. He just actually got nominated as an artist so it's somebody that I was a fan of before I met him. Then I met him and his spirit meshed with mine. We did about five or six shows together thus far in our careers and it's just a great concoction and that's what actually made me come up with the term vibes on vibes. I'm like he's a vibe and I'm a vibe, we both write our own music to sing live and not solely rely on studio magic. It's gonna be real sexy, real intimate and I think you're gonna get a lot of passion, and a lot of energy. And you know, he's like bringing that West Coast flavor and I'm bringing the East Coast flavor so it's just awesome to team up with somebody that I feel is a kindred spirit, in essence. Your entire project is dedicated to the sensuality of a woman. Women are naturally caretakers and nurturers, and we often put men before our own needs even in the bedroom, in what ways do you feel men can start putting the woman first? Well, see. I want to speak for myself. I'm saying so I'm a pleaser. I'm getting more satisfaction out of stimulating her mind and body and spirit simultaneously during sex more than focusing on my climax so to speak. So foreplay you know, guys got to stop getting straight to it and take our time to learn the body of a woman. Kiss her, give a certain caress, a certain embrace, instead of just doing as music has been put out in the last five years, just getting to smashing it. It’s bigger than that! You know, even cuddling, conversion, playing in her hair, or letting her lay on your chest, those things to me are awesome preliminary must-do’s, to set the mood.

SAMMIE Women are often labeled as never knowing what they want. You’re almost 35, from your experience, what do you feel women really want from men today in relationships? I mean, I'm still figuring it out myself, women are quite the puzzle, but I do know they want someone that can lead or be led by without excuses. They want to feel protected. They want to feel catered to as well. And they just want a safe space to allow their emotions to flow. I've learned that sometimes we men try to fix things instead of just taking the time out to understand and show that woman that we hear and support in spite of even if we don't understand it, even if we can't fix the situation. Let her know that you can rest and lean into me knowing that I'm going to be here for you through thick and thin. Then there are the small things you need to start paying attention to. I think women want us to pay attention to the details. The little things equate to big things, so they don't have to necessarily repeat themselves and become “naggers” of what they require. But if you pay attention and listen, we’ll be able to really execute what it is that our woman desires of us. How can men love their woman better, cut out the games and be more open with their true feelings? For me, you know, God has to be the center of the relationship. You know, and that's what I mean by lead. If I can’t help you grow closer to our creator, then we're going to have a disconnect off the dribble. And then as men stop being so tough. I know we're raised to be tough and not express ourselves, but women do appreciate a transparent, vulnerable, emotional man and it's okay to emote, it's okay to feel a kind of way, and it's okay to cry. All these things are I think personal cleanses of some sort, and I think really opens up the window to the soul of a woman to trust you because now she also feels like she can rest and emote to you. You know what I'm saying and just having that capacity to be able to receive your partner in that way. Tell us 5 things every man should know about his woman? You should know her traumas so you’ll know her triggers. He should also know her upbringing, I think it is very, very true when they say that you become a product of your environment. So if you have a woman who's never had a father or never had a dad, so she suffers from daddy issues aka abandonment, it will keep you close and you'll know to always be in her corner to support her, like kind of overdo that so she won't be triggered by that. I think we should know what makes our girl happy or happier. I think a woman should come whole and be happy but if she likes flowers, you should know that and if she likes personal time, put your phone down and just give her that quality, undivided attention that she requires. I will also say a man should really really know how to extend or stretch his woman you know what I mean?! They say women multiply everything that we give them which is true, but a man can do that too, especially if you're equally yoked. So make sure that she understands that there's more than what she sees in herself. And if she loves you as such, you can be that battery pack that she needs to propel to greater heights. And then lastly, I would for sure think that a man should know when to I guess, bow down. We focus so much on a woman submitting to us but we have to submit also and I'm saying that's our queen and nothing operates fluently without her so sometimes it's good to know when to not try to be so right but more so focus on just finding that understanding and that happy medium place. So those are some advice tips I would give.

SAMMIE We know you put a lot of pressure on the men to step their game up. What do you feel the ladies love the most about you? Oh, I would say my godliness. I'm nothing without God. So I think that especially in 2022 where I think we've just experienced so much darkness on a daily basis. A man, that can pray, a man that is connected, a man that is purposeful, and intentional, I think they like that. Then I'm very transparent, I don't act like I'm greater than though, I don't act as if I've always had it together. I talk about my struggles and my trials and my triumphs. I think they can appreciate the evolve and evolution of who I used to be and still love who I am becoming.
How can men make their woman feel more secure in the bedroom and the relationship? You got to have that awkward conversation, you know but it's not awkward if you sharing, you know, bodies and spirits. So just ask what it is that she likes and needs to be pleased. We can't just assume that what we do and what feels right to us is exactly what she's desiring. So I think just having that conversation, like how can I please you. Ask her how can I make you more secure, because women love to express themselves and they will gladly tell you what it is that they want and then from there follow suit and put it into action.
What’s your idea of the perfect Valentine's Day date? So for me, every day is Valentine's Day, if you're my girl. So a joint spa day getting facials and manicures, pedicures together that's awesome. Switch up the atmosphere, you know get her a suite with a jacuzzi and spend that quality time. Do something passionate, get her some roses, and have some candles lit to set the vibe and some music. Preferably something from Sammie, because it never hurts to play some Sammie music. Women like to eat well so some fine dining and really just that time again to me. Time is love so just making that day specifically about her, no business, no hanging out with the boys. Nothing solely to soothe yourself. It should just be a selfless day where you’re just giving yourself to your partner. So, ladies and gents, I have to agree that Sammie knows exactly what a woman wants from a man because there were moments I thought he was reading my mind. But I mean, you can’t serenade the ladies musically and spiritually like he does if you do not know what a woman desires. Men take note because he was all the way on point!
