International Summer School Fact
File

Global Education at Felsted is the intentional, consistent and integrated practice of exposing students to many different perspectives outside of their own.
We believe that the International Summer School is an extraordinary opportunity for students to build their capacity to engage as members of a large and vibrant global community. In addition to an extraordinary curriculum and weekly excursions to some of England’s most famous and meaningful cultural sites, this engagement means that students have the chance to practise their responsibilities as members of this global community. These responsibilities include sustainability and stewardship, critical thinking, collaboration and cultivating a community of equity and belonging for all. We hope that you’ll join us this summer.

Junior Programme Ages 7–11
Challenge, develop and experience
Whether this is your child’s first experience away from home or they are a regular globe trotter, our Junior Programme will provide them with the perfect blend of learning, fun activities and cultural experiences.

We understand that sending your child to a different country for a number of weeks can be a daunting prospect, so we work hard to ensure they settle as quickly as possible and that every child feels confident and cared for. Their pastoral care comes first and they very quickly become part of our summer community, making friendships and forging memories that will last a lifetime. Our carefully crafted timetable is action packed and varied with the aim to keep your child busy and stimulated, taking full advantage of all the opportunities provided. When children are busy they are happy, and when they are happy they grow.

Senior Programme Ages 12–17
Balance and stimulation
Our students range dramatically, from their communication and language skills to their cultural backgrounds and personal interests. For this reason, we have shaped our timetable so that students can tailor their experience to suit their own interests and needs, to make their summer experience the best it can possibly be.

Studying abroad can be challenging for some but we know students quickly make solid friendships with other children from different corners of the world, enhancing their global understanding. Students embrace the experience and leave as engaged global citizens. Their timetable is busy, but it is broken down into different sections each day for variety and enjoyment.
