Elmo’s Got the Moves at the Kravis Center

April 24, 2026

Alexander W. Dreyfoos Concert Hall

Get ready to sing, dance, and shout “Sunny Days!”

The all-new Elmo’s Got the Moves brings everyone’s favorite furry red friend — and his Sesame Street pals — to the stage for a high-energy, heartwarming live show. Families can expect upbeat dancing, interactive fun, and beloved songs like “Sunny Days,”“Elmo’s Got the Moves,” and “Letter of the Day.”

It’s the kind of first-theater experience that little ones will talk about all the way home (and probably perform in your living room for weeks after).

What Families Need to Know

• All guests require a ticket, regardless of age.

• Children 24 months and under may purchase a $15 lap ticket (available at the Box Office beginning 2 hours before showtime; one lap ticket per adult).

• Total run time: 30 minutes / 20-minute intermission / 30 minutes

• Recommended for all ages

• Audience Advisory: Flashing lights, haze (fog), and confetti are used during the performance.

Add-On: VIP Meet the Characters Photo Experience

Want to make the day even more magical? Upgrade your experience with a post-show photo opportunity alongside characters from Elmo’s Got the Moves.

• Photo Experience tickets are a separate purchase and do not include show admission.

• Each adult and child attending the photo experience must have both a show ticket and a Photo Experience ticket.

• Children 24 months and under do not need a Photo Experience ticket if they have a lap seat and others in the party have Photo Experience tickets.

• The experience begins shortly after the show ends.

• Bring your camera - you’ll want to capture those smiles!

Parent Tip: If your little one is shy around characters, consider hanging back at the end of the line to give them time to warm up.

Elmo’s got the moves… and Palm Beach families won’t want to miss them. For tickets visit kravis.org.

Finding the Right Summer Camp for Your Child

After a long school year, summer camp offers kids the chance to unplug, explore new interests, and make lasting memories. Whether your child is eager to see friends or try something new, camp can be one of the highlights of their year. Every family has different needs and priorities, so take a little time to think about what will make this summer the best fit for your child. Here are a few helpful tips to guide your search.

What Are Your Child’s Interests?

Start with what excites your child. Some kids thrive on sports and outdoor adventure, while others light up at the idea of dance, art, or science. There truly is a camp for every personality and passion.

Camp themes range from traditional day camps with swimming and field games to specialty programs in arts, dance, STEM, and more. The key is choosing something that sparks their curiosity — not just what sounds good to you.

Try Camps With Variety

Not sure what they’re into yet? That’s okay. If your child shrugs and says “I don’t know,” consider a camp that offers a wide range of activities. Multi-

activity camps expose children to new experiences and can help them discover hidden talents.

Another fun approach is mixing it up week to week. Try art camp one week, dance the next, and a science or tech camp after that. A little variety keeps summer exciting and prevents boredom.

Keep Budget in Mind

Summer camp is an investment, but there are ways to make it more affordable.

Many camps offer:

• Early bird discounts

• Multi-week savings

• Sibling discounts

• Member pricing

• Reduced registration fees

Be sure to ask what’s included in tuition: meals, extended care, and special activities can affect the final cost. A quick phone call can sometimes uncover savings you didn’t know were available.

Do Your Research

Before registering, take time to:

• Review camp schedules and activities

• Understand staff-to-camper ratios

• Ask about daily structure and supervision

• Read reviews or talk to other parents

For a comprehensive list of local options, check out PB Parenting’s 15th Annual Summer Camp Directory (page 12), featuring camps throughout Palm Beach County. Our website also offers a searchable directory and interactive map to make your planning even easier.

An Investment in Growth Summer camp is more than just childcare. it’s an investment in your child’s confidence, independence, and friendships. Camp gives kids the space to try new things, build resilience, and create memories that last long after summer ends.

Most importantly, have fun with the process. Childhood summers are meant to be joyful, messy, adventurous, and full of stories you’ll still be telling years from now.

DAY CAMP CHECKLIST

• Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes

• Sunscreen with an SPF rating of at least 45. Pro tip: Apply sunscreen before leaving home - send a bottle for reapplication pack a hat/ sunglasses

• Insect repellant wipes and/or insect repellent wristband (do not send an aerosol can of insect repellant–the spray will sting if it gets in your child’s eyes.)

• Bathing suit and towel

• Bring two water bottles one that is frozen to enjoy later as it melts.

• Comfortable running shoes or closed-toe sports sandals WITH socks

• Extra set of clothes (especially a pair of socks and shirt if they get wet from the rain)

• Rain poncho (rolls up small)

• Medication: All camps should have your child’s medical information on file. Having an extra note with details in their backpack and attached to their Prescription medication and/or Epi-Pen is helpful.

• Food: Some day camps will provide lunch and snacks. If you pack a lunch it should be easy to eat on the ground. A sandwich (avoid peanut butter since most camps are nut-free), fruit and a juice box or water makes for a healthy lunch. Granola bars make an excellent snack.

Some camps may have snack bars or vending machines. Notify the camp of any food allergies your child may have.

• Do not bring valuable items like electronics.

Believe it or not, Spring Break is just around the corner! Whether your family is planning a staycation or heading out of town, a little organization can go a long way in helping you enjoy the time off, without feeling stressed. With a few simple strategies, you can create a Spring Break that balances adventure with downtime for both you and your kids.

Staying Local? Plan With

Purpose - Even if you’re not traveling, having a plan is key. Think about the programs, events, and activities your family can enjoy in your area. PB Parenting is a great resource for discovering what’s happening locally and finding fun for the whole family.

As a professional organizer and time management enthusiast, I recommend creating a Spring Break calendar (paper or digital) to map out each day. Include at least one day with no scheduled activities to allow for rest and unstructured play.

Consider scheduling playdates or even a “kid swap” with friends or family to give yourself a planned break for a half or full day. For families juggling work while kids are off, planning special dinners or weekend adventures can make the week feel memorable without adding stress.

Heading Out of Town? Get Ahead of the Details

If travel is on the agenda, now is the time to finalize your plans and research weather conditions. Weather apps like The Weather Channel can help you check not only travel conditions for roads and flights but also guide your packing decisions.

Packing Like a Pro - Start choosing outfits at least a week before departure and lay them out in a designated space, such as a dining room table. Group items by family member and use a packing list to ensure nothing is forgotten. Consider the activities planned, (swimming, fancy dinners, hiking) and pack accordingly.

Layerable and dual-purpose clothing, can save space and reduce luggage weight. Check your airline’s carry-on dimensions, weight limits, and luggage fees to avoid surprises. Don’t forget small but essential details:

• Verify travel-size toiletry rules if flying

• Pack any necessary adapters for electronics

• Bring travel games and books to keep kids entertained

When it’s time to pack, these strategies help maximize space:

• File fold or roll clothing to save room

• Decide what goes in checked bags vs. carry-on

• Use packing cubes or compression bags

Spring Break Tidying Checklist

Now is also a perfect time to tackle a few small organizing projects that can make the rest of the school year run smoother:

• Backpacks: Clean out your kids’ backpacks and restock them for the rest of the school year.

• Clothing: Pull out any outgrown pieces and make a list of replacements.

• Bathrooms & Medicine Cabinet: Take 15 minutes to check and toss expired items, empty bottles, and restock essentials.

• Summer Planning: Solidify your family’s summer plans so you’re not scrambling later.

• Toy Rotation: Consider putting away older toys and bringing out a few favorites or new ones to refresh playtime during the break.

• Household Supplies: Check household basics like snacks, sunscreen, and travel essentials so you’re ready for outings and adventures.

Whether you stay local or travel, Spring Break is meant to be a fun, rejuvenating time, a chance to recharge before the final stretch of the school year. With a little planning and these organizing tips, you can focus on enjoying the time off. After all, a wellprepared break is a more relaxed, enjoyable break for everyone. XOXO, Amy
