It’s hard to believe that summer has come and gone and that soon the leaves will be painting Raleigh skies with all of our favorite fall colors. Before we get ahead of ourselves, I wanted to take a moment to reflect. This summer was good to us at Synergy: Along with hosting our annual SKINsational Open House for our clients and patients in June, Synergy was voted as one of the “Best Places to Work” by its team in the Triangle Business Journal. Our team was able to spend time training with some of the industry’s top professionals in both injectables and skincare, and now that we’ve got some new services and skills under our belt, we’re excited to share what we’ve been working on! Beginning later this month, we’ll be celebrating the launch of our latest service... the Dermalinfusion treatment! This 3-in-1 treatment exfoliates, extracts and infuses the skin with potent serums in less than 30 minutes, and is perfect for all skin types. While there are a lot of similar services on the market, I was drawn to the Dermalinfusion treatment because it yields both an immediate glow as well as clinical results-- this is not your mother’s facial. I’m confident this will be your new go-to service, so stay tuned for official launch details! On September 10th, we’ll be hosting an intimate event for those considering InMode’s FaceTite, BodyTite, AccuTite and Morpheus8. Anna, I am going to go “there”… what exactly is vaginal rejuvenation? Does it hurt and how long does it last? I already have two children but have not ruled out another, is it best to wait? Lastly are there any risks involved? - Krista Krista, if there’s anyone you can go there with, it’s me! Vaginal rejuvenation refers to the growing group of procedures designed to address both functional and cosmetic vaginal concerns. Luckily, there are a variety of different modalities on the market (both surgical and non-surgical) and, personally, I am a big fan of Sciton’s diVa laser treatment. I’ve had this treatment myself and speak from experience when I corroborate diVa’s 96% “Worth It” Rating on Realself. This nonsurgical treatment is made comfortable with topical anesthetic and treats a wide range of concerns, from laxity to dryness and incontinence to painful intercourse. Each treatment is quick−just 3 to 5 minutes−and there is no downtime! You may experience some light bleeding or discharge and you’ll need to abstain from vaginal sex for 48 hours, but as far as laser procedures go, diVa is very safe with very low rates of infection or other injury. If you’re considering having another child, I would definitely bring this up with your trusted provider when you come in for your consultation, but I wouldn’t necessarily rule a present-day diVa out depending on which concern you’re hoping to address. All in all, I wish you the best and congratulations on taking the first steps to regaining your pelvic health!
