NO WIPES DOWN THE PIPES
Did you know wet wipes flushed down the toilet block sewage systems, even when labelled ‘flushable’? Wipes don’t break down like toilet paper. They cause major pump station blockages, cost thousands of ratepayer dollars to clear and can lead to expensive plumbing bills at home. Remember the 3 P’s Rule - the ONLY things to flush are: • Pee • Poo • (Toilet) Paper Place all baby wipes, cleaning wipes, nappies, sanitary products, and rubbish straight into your general garage bin. Need to report a blockage? (02) 6033 8999 or after hours 1800 110 088.
MENTAL HEALTH MONTH October is Mental Health Month! It’s a time for all of us to come together and prioritise mental wellbeing. To help build a stronger safety net for our local youth, Council is promoting the Vibe Check Youth Mental Health Toolkit. Discover how you can support the young people in your life today.
