General Price List (Prices effective April 1, 2024) Prices effective April 1, 2024 and are subject to change without notice. The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. This list does not include prices for certain items you may ask us to buy for you, such as cemetery services, flowers, and newspaper notices. The prices for those items will be shown on your bill or the statement of funeral goods and services selected.

Our charge includes consultation with the family or responsible party; staff and facilities to respond to initial requests for service; coordinating service plans with cemetery; securing official documents and necessary registrations and sheltering of the deceased. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select.

(This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)

$3,495 EMBALMING Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. Outer Burial Containers

A complete list will be provided at the funeral home. In most areas of the country, state or local law does not require that you buy a container to surround the casket in the grave. However, many cemeteries require that you have such a container so that the grave will not sink in. Either a grave liner or a burial vault will satisfy these requirements.

DIRECT CREMATION

Our charge for direct cremation without any attendant rites or ceremonies includes basic services of funeral director and staffs, local transfer of remains to funeral home, care of remains, and crematory fee. State and local laws do not require a casket for cremation. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are made of cardboard.

IMMEDIATE BURIAL

Our charge for an immediate burial without any attendant rites or ceremonies includes basic services of funeral director and staff, transfer of remains to funeral home, hearse (vehicle) for transportation to place of disposition, and care of remains.

Remains will be buried at the convenience of the cemetery, vault company and funeral home.

Payment Policy Our funeral home is a small business and like many others in our community, out of necessity, we operate on a cash basis - relying upon the families we serve for prompt payment. We do not have sufficient financial resources to extend credit over a period of months or years, nor does the law allow us to fulfill the functions of a bank or other lending institution. Therefore, payment is expected at the time of arrangements and due prior to services rendered.

We realize that the expense of a funeral or cremation is often unexpected. We offer several choices in the way you may fulfill this obligation. We encourage your frank discussion of these matters with your funeral director, and we will attempt to assist you in any way possible.

Payment Options ➢ Payment with cash or personal check. ➢ Payment with an approved Visa, MasterCard or Discover. ➢ Pre-paid funeral arrangements with A. S. Turner & Sons, subject to verification the policy is valid. ➢ Assignment of proceeds of a verified Life Insurance Policy.

Our acceptance of this mode of payment is dependent on the cooperation of the beneficiary and the insurance company. The insurance policy must be given to the funeral director for verification. We must have the Insurance Company’s complete cooperation in providing information to the beneficiary, amount of the death benefit available, outstanding loans information, cooperation to get claim forms in a timely manner, and their acceptance of our written assignment. The insurance company will send the balance of any insurance proceeds directly to the beneficiary after the insurance company pays the funeral bill in full from the proceeds of the insurance policy. The purchaser must obtain a certified death certificate for each insurance policy. Service times cannot be scheduled/confirmed until we have verification of the assignment from our processor. This process typically takes 2-3 business days. ➢ Installment loan through Lending USA. This is a private financial arrangement between you and Lending USA. Qualifying is based solely on applicant’s credit score. Interest rates depend on applicant’s credit score and other factors.
