Homecoming 2021 Celebration

After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students, families, friends, and community members came together for a homecoming celebration October 1. The theme was “City Nights.”
A carnival was held prior to the football game and included student and community-run booths and fundraisers, a giant slide, bouncy houses, a petting zoo, pony rides, and food trucks. Live music from the students and faculty was also featured during the community carnival. The Foxes played the Shaler Area Titans and celebrated a huge 28-14 win on the gridiron.
The freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes continued the tradition of performing their annual skits in the stadium prior to the game, with the senior class winning the skit competition.
The members of the 2021 Fox Chapel Area High School homecoming court were seniors Claire Hamilton, Nabeela Islam (queen), Billy Kwiatkowski, Jacob McWilliams, Nathaniel Mueller, Olivia Pelcher, Sophia Roth, and Lance Wilhelm (king). The homecoming court attendants were juniors Eleanor Fox and Oliver Stephany, sophomores Annalese Bartolacci and Jack O’Brien, and freshmen Gabriella Hample and Luca Zgurzynski. This year’s crown bearers were homecoming princess Grace Casile and homecoming prince Michael Johnson.
Additionally, the Fox Chapel Educators Association sponsored a food drive in cooperation with the WPIAL’s Food and Fund Drive and collected nonperishable food and monetary donations to support the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and North Hills Community Outreach.
All homecoming activities were coordinated and sponsored by the Fox Chapel Area High School Student Government.
