457(b)
What is a 457(b) plan? A 457(b) plan is a retirement savings plan that allows employees to make contributions on a pretax basis, thus income taxes are deferred until your assets are withdrawn. Most plans allow you to start, stop, increase or decrease contributions at any time. The contribution limits are separate from those of 401(k) and 403(b) plans and more flexible withdrawal options are often available. RAMS 457 (b) Managed Portfolios

What is a 403(b) Savings Plan? 403(b) is a voluntary retirement plan that allows you to save money in a pre-tax (Traditional) or after-tax (Roth) account. Contributions to the plan are salary-deducted from your paycheck and automatically deposited into your 403(b) retirement savings account. Early withdrawals from a 403(b) account are subject to a 10% early withdrawal penalty. Money and investments are held with the vendor of your choice.
