editor’s word Dear Readers, At this time of writing, the world would have probably heaved a sigh of relief at the approval of 3 major vaccines. Stock markets have since experienced mercurial rises and we seem to be getting closer to seeing a glimmer at the end of this long dark tunnel.

Despite Europe and US having major problems containing the outbreak, in this part of the world in Asia, things seem to be better managed. With the Indonesia Covid-19 task force in preparations now and signalling for vaccines to reach Indonesia by Jan 2021, it seemed that Indonesia could be the first country in ASEAN to inoculate a majority of its citizens way ahead of the pack! All these news have given hope to countries shattered by the intermittent lock downs and a “shot in the arm” for businesses preparing for a busy 2021. Despite all the negativity surrounding the efficacy of the vaccines (Due to its tight research phases), a majority of the world seemed to be convinced this is the “silver bullet” needed to save the faltering economies and getting everyone out and back in the commercial world physically again! With a huge demand for Face to face meetings after the prolonged lock downs, our exhibitions division are also currently busy with preparations to host the Indonesia Marine and Offshore Expo 2021 (IMOX) to get the Maritime industry meeting each other once again! The event which is held in Batam’s 5-star rated Radisson Convention and Exhibition Centre would be held from 3-5 August 2021, a time in which we are confident that the world should be allowed to travel freely but with strict protocols in place!

So, hang in there, enjoy this quarter’s read and let the medical world unleashed its calvary of vaccines that would stop Covid-19 in its tracks permanently!
