The World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Malaysian government have joined forces to establish the Malaysian Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Malaysian Centre for 4IR). This collaborative initiative aims to harness the potential of emerging technologies and drive the country’s progress in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

The Malaysian outlet is the latest and the only one in the ASEAN region out of 19 centers of 4IR in the world currently. To sum up, it will serve as a platform for public-private cooperation, fostering collaboration between government and a lot more. It will provide a space for stakeholders to come together, share insights, and codesign policies that leverage cutting-edge technologies to address societal challenges.

This initiative is important to Malaysia’s digital transformation as it represents a significant step towards harnessing the potential of emerging technologies and driving Malaysia’s progress in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This is also because the collaboration with the WEF will bring global expertise and knowledge to the initiative, enabling Malaysia to benefit from international best practices and innovative ideas.
