STUDIES

Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study @ 5:45 in Room 332

Interested in helping? Email jcmo.phc@gmail.com or go to jcprojecthomelessconnect.weebly.com to register.

Study of Mark by Francis Chan with Sondra Allen.

Volunteers are needed to register and guide guests to specific service destinations. Volunteers are also needed to drive vehicles.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE VOLUNTEER AT SOUTH SCHOOL Mentors and Room Buddies are needed at South Elementary School! Mentors help children live better stories. A mentor is matched with a child during the school year and commits to spending 45 minutes/week meeting with them during the school day. You talk, play games, go for a walk on the playground, or shoot some hoops. You can eat lunch with them or just visit. 45 minutes. Once a week. A lifetime of impact. Room Buddies are matched with a teacher at South School to assist in whatever ways the teacher needs. Maybe reading a book to a child or helping a student with some math homework. Maybe making copies or tearing out workbook pages.

The commitment is 45 minutes/week but can save a teacher precious time they need to do what only they can do! If you are interested in learning more about serving generously as a mentor or a room buddy, contact Linda Wiseman at lsanders1323@gmail.com or 573.619.9334.

Nov 15-17 // Fall Retreat

7:45-9p / High School Life hurts sometimes. If you haven’t already experienced it, there will be a day when you’ll encounter pain, failure, or loss. Sometimes the hurt we feel happens because of something we do, or something that is done to us, or something that is no one’s fault at all. In this 4-week series, we’ll talk about how, when life hurts, or goes wrong, or doesn’t make sense, these things are true: Jesus can redeem what’s gone wrong, God can be trusted, God gives us each other, and God helps us persevere.

Basecamp Sundays, 9:30-10:30am / Refuge Rm Join us on Sundays for Basecamp, our Bible Teaching program. We have donuts each Sunday. In October, we’re talking about Sweet Temptations (materialism, revenge, deceit).
