WE LEAD PEOPLE INTO LIFE-GIVING RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHRIST AND EACH OTHER.

Dear Church,

As we step into July, my heart is filled with gratitude and joy for all the ways you continue to embody the love of Christ This summer, we've seen beautiful expressions of that love through missions In June, our Kenya mission team of eight returned with powerful stories of hope and partnership from our 16 year in partnership with the Well Children’s Home th

Our youth mission team heads to Mars Hill, North Carolina, on July 6 to partner with a local Cooperative Baptist Fellowship congregation in providing disaster relief work after Hurricane Helene in September 2024 45 youth and adult sponsors will also participate in a Kids Club and minister at local senior adult care facilities.

In July, we’ll also host our annual Vacation Bible Camp for children in our community! We hope to fill the hallways with children and volunteers as we teach children to trust Jesus in a wild world! We’ll wrap up July by volunteering with Food 4 Kids, providing much-needed lunches for children in our community during the last week of July.

We were also thrilled to share last Sunday that our church has received the Missions Excellence Award from the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship! This recognition celebrates something deep in our DNA we are a people who serve generously This is who we are Whether across the world or across the street, you continue to show up with open hands and open hearts

Locally, our Keys to Hope initiative is making a meaningful impact on housing insecurity in Jefferson City Each Friday at 8:00 a m , a faithful team gathers to serve, and we’d love for you to join us Learn more at www.fbcjc.org/local-missions

Thank you for being the Church generous, faithful, and full of love.

FBC JC began partnering with this home in 2009. Since then, many things have changed, including the organization that operates it. Under its current owners,OasisforOrphans, theWellisthriving.

Currently, twenty-some children are living at the Well in a family-style setting. There are two dorms, one for girls and one for boys. Each dorm is a community with mamas, aunties, and uncles who love,support,andcareforthechildrenfull-time.

While Oasis’s primary mission is to serve orphaned children, they have a heart for all vulnerable children in our area Many families in the community are unable to afford school fees With fully functioning schools at our sites, children can receiveaqualityeducationandmealsonweekdays to supplement the food at home This benefits the child and their families There are more than 40 children who are Guardian Kids These children attendtheWellAcademyschoolandreceive
