The exact date of our Phase 3 reopening (limited in-person worship in the sanctuary with cautious protocols in place) will be announced as soon as possible and will be based on health department data and continued consultation with medical professionals. I hope you join me in thanking Lisa Allen and Glenna Honich, who are co-leading our Phase 3 Team. They are coordinating the hard work of many volunteers as we prepare for safe and meaningful worship opportunities. More details are provided here in The Beacon. The racial tension in our nation is heartbreaking. I am thankful for the many, many policemen and policewomen who carry out their work with courage, courtesy and

fairness. But like you, my heart is sickened by brutality and violence against blacks. Something in our nation’s soul must change. As a privileged white male, I acknowledge my own blind spots and imbedded racism. Along with many others, I want to be a part of the solution. Many of us are working hard to address issues of racial inequality in our own community. Together, let’s see what love can do. Please see the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Governing Board’s statement on page 5. Grace,

Doyle

UPCOMING We are currently in Phase 2 of our COVID-19 response plan.
