CITY CLERK / DEPUTY CLERK ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Attended Monday staff meeting; held meeting with GovDeals representative to review account; met with committee to discuss new board appointments for 2020.

Projects: Closing out GovDeals auction with the Police Department; attended City Hall employee Christmas luncheon 12/17; order plaques for Years of Service employee recognition; scheduled swearing in of new council members 1/9/2020; building agenda packet for next city council meeting 1/9/2020.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 77 new; 86 closed.

Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the New City Hall building; working on new Police Department records management system (continued); added court camera to secure hallway; Zencity system implementation.

Meetings: Met with Police on upcoming projects; met with vendor on upcoming project; phone call with Zencity implementation schedule; ICMA phone meeting on upcoming training; new work order system for Water and Public Works departments; met with Public Works on the use of the new test tablet for field use.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) committee meeting on 12/19 to discuss Downtown district zoning; review of alcoholic beverage code with prospective taproom.

Main Street: Preparation of 2020 Concert Series; new board member discussions; meeting to discuss 2021 music/beverage event at City Center Park.

City Hall Project: Continued progress on temporary access to site from adjacent property owner.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Community Engagement: Christmas with the Police was a great success. Thank you to everyone who helped make some of our children’s Christmas come true!

Training: Three police officers completed advanced training at local police academies; three police officers are still in the field training program.

Reminder: Please drive safely over this holiday season!

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Community Engagement: Station #91/Headquarters and Station #92 are collection locations for Toys for Tots.

Meetings: Chief Alan Jones attended meeting with Piedmont Fayette Hospital regarding adjacent land; Chief Jones attended meeting with Clear Company; Chief Jones attended meeting with City Manager to finalize departmental Performance Management Plan.

Training: All shifts attended monthly EMS training at ERTSS Projects: Deputy Chief Linda Black and Division Chief Chris Peacock continue to work on Lexipol Project; apparatus building for Station #93 has been reassembled with gas line connected; permanent power has been ordered awaiting connection date; Chief Jones attended meeting for the Whitewater Creek Project monthly update; Chief Jones and Chief Black attended onsite meeting with Open Gov; all shifts are performing annual hydrant maintenance.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall, Police Department and our Public Works/Distribution building; city-wide trash run; cleaned up curbing on Stonewall Avenue and Jack Dettmering Way; Set up and brokedown City Hall Council Chambers and set up tables and chairs; unplugged storm drains across city; repaired erosion hole on Lee Street, on Beauregard Boulevard and at 180 Highview Trace; maintained landscaping at Police Department; BOE run for City Hall; cleaned up Courthouse Square area; maintained Brandywine Blvd, Yorktown Drive and Gingercake Road; maintained median of Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard and the Historic Train Depot; placed mulch in Church Street Park; maintained Holliday Dorsey Fife Museum and trimmed bushes.

Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.132 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift stations sites; wastewater plant remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.296 of system demand, Repaired eight water leaks; performed 12 water meter maintenance, Water plant, and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Utility Locates: 76

HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER Personnel: We are continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany. The general Performance Appraisal evaluation questions have been input into ClearCompany. We will begin setting up the job-specific appraisal questions. We will begin setting up training for all users in ClearCompany for recruiting, onboarding, Performance Management and appraisals. The enrollment data from Open Enrollment has been submitted to the carriers for processing for the new plan year.

Turn Over Report: There were no new employees hired and one employee termination during the week of December 16-22, 2019.
