CITY CLERK / DEPUTY CLERK ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Met with Tri-Copy rep Derek Mills concerning new plotter/scanner for City Hall 9/30; Attended New City Hall Groundbreaking 10/1; Met with Canon rep Brian Ambrose to discuss new plotter/scanner for City Hall 10/1; Attended City Council Meeting 10/3.

Projects: Assisted with final closing documents on Public Facilities Authority Terms of Engagement; Loaded GovDeals online auction items for Fire Dept. auction to run through October 17; Processed auction items for upcoming Police Dept. online auction; Processed ordinances and minutes for Municipal Code/online publications.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 50 new; 56 closed.

Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the New City Hall building; Installed Fire HQ Access Points; Attended a VMware User Group one day conference in Atlanta; Held telephone conference call to start online payment for building permits; Setup audio equipment for New City Hall groundbreaking ceremony; Worked on Information Technology PowerPoint presentation.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Continued discussion with stakeholders regarding downtown road network planning; Received Council approval for federal trails grant application due October 11; Participated in site plan review for Walton Communities project.

Main Street: Continued prep and logistics for October 25-27 The Great Pumpkin Festival event; Coordination with the Fayetteville First United Methodist church on a downtown chalk-art event last Wednesday, 10/2.

Downtown Development Authority: Continued preparations for upcoming Cemetery Walk at Fayetteville Cemetery hosted by Holliday Dorsey Fife Museum.

City Hall Project: Continued coordination with site work and utilities to gym and bus barn.

PIO / COMMUNICATIONS TEAM ANN MARIE BURDETT Promotions: New City Hall & City Center Park Groundbreaking Ceremony 10/1; 12th Annual Cemetery Walk 10/18-19; The Great Pumpkin Festival 10/25-27; City Shred & Recycle Day 11/6.

Meetings: Attended regular City Council meeting on 10/3; Met with Mayor Johnson and Fayette County High School Leadership to discuss partnership opportunities.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DAVID RAST Plans in Review: Staff is reviewing conceptual site plan and variance applications (4) for the Walton Communities mixed-use development; the rezoning application for The Cottages at LaFayette; the rezoning application and variance applications for the Dixon Farm subdivision; and, the conceptual site plans for McAlister’s Deli and the DaFoe commercial building.

Projects under construction: Hop City Barley Garden; Discount Tire; RaceTrac; Freddy’s Burgers and Custard; Fayette Self Storage; Chipotle, Aspen Dental, Eye Lab, and Tropical Smoothie.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY Personnel: Members of the department traveled to Brussard, Louisiana and selected Gizmo (two-year old Malinios) as the department’s next K-9 Officer; The handler for Gizmo will be Officer J. Collins, who will attend a three-week course starting in November.

Community Engagement: The C.A.R.E. Unit is preparing for the Public Safety Fall Festival on October 18 at the Fayette County Justice Center. C.A.R.E. also attended the Genesis Academy (Grades K-12) on Thursday for a Safety Awareness and J.P.A.* recruitment event.

Training: Two officers started the Police Academy at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center. Two new officers started with the agency and are conducting policy review and G.C.I.C. training. *Community Activity Resource and Education Unit (C.A.R.E.) *Georgia Crime Information Center (G.C.I.C.) *Junior Police Academy (J.P.A)

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Community Engagement: Chiefs Jones and Harris attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the New City Hall & City Center Park; E92 provided friendly firefighter/ firetruck tour for the Grove Park Homeowners Association’s block party.

Projects: Chiefs Black and Peacock attended a webinar with Fire Rescue One regarding training programs; All employees completing a questionnaire thru EasyAppsOnline for health coverage; Georgia Firefighters Standard and Training performed an inspection for the new station 93 location.

PUBLIC SERVICES CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall, Police Department; Cut and blow Veterans Parkway, Gazebo Area, Church Street Park, South Glynn Street right of way in front of Broadway Diner, West Lanier Ave., City Limits to Rose Court, Stonewall Ave, Melissa Segars Way, Jeff Davis, Bradley Drive, Helen Sams Parkway; Trim trees in right of way in front of 206 Creekside Trail; Cut and maintained shop; Set up for New City Hall ceremony.

Sewer: Average daily flow treated is 2.145 million gallons per day, Performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift stations sites; Maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.238 of system demand, Repaired 10 water leaks, Performed 16 water meter maintenance; Maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

HUMAN RESOURCES NELLA COOPER Personnel: We are continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; We will begin setting up training for all users in ClearCompay for Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance Management and Appraisals; We are continuing the marketing campaign for the upcoming Benefits offering for the January 1 plan year; All employees that are covered on the medical pan have been required to complete a health questionnaire.

Turn Over Report: There were two new employees hired and one employee terminated during the week of September 30-October 6.
