CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Attended Called Council Meeting 9/29; attended interview meetings with Municipal Court judge applicants 9/29; attended employee retirement reception 9/30; attended Regular Council Meeting 10/1; attended New City Hall walk-through and luncheon 10/2.

Projects: Created notice for Called City Council meeting to be held 9/29; ordered food for New City Hall luncheon on 10/2; prepared proclamation for Retired Educator’s Day for November 1; answered questions from the public concerning Shred/Electronic/Glass recycling event 10/7; created legal ad for upcoming GovDeals online auction 10/2.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 50 new, 50 closed.

Projects: We are continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; reviewing the audio/visual plan for the new City Hall; working on the documents retention project; TempDefend installation; Police Department records scanning and storage; researched Fleet Maintenance Systems; reviewed and responded to numerous e-mails throughout the week having to do with City projects.

Meetings: Weekly new City Hall review; new City Hall onsite review; Fleet software discussion with Enterprise; meeting over security systems; Email security meeting (working); MS-ISAC Meeting.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Completed deliberations for final right-of-way acquisition for the hospital-area bridge/trail project; presented bid recommendation for Stonewall Avenue project to the City Council; attended bi-weekly logistics meeting for bus barn/gym redevelopment; connected with Michelle McConnell at Pinewood Productions Ctr to strengthen communications with them and the City.

Main Street: Attended bidder’s site visit for amphitheater improvements; added October 30 final concert to ticketing system for October 2 on sale; began promotions for the October concerts; hosted the Fayette County Fire Department graduation at the amphitheater; finalized and promoted Pumpkin Display info through City media; met with Virginia Gibbs & Christy Todd with the Fayette County Board of Education on future collaboration to create a digital walking tour.

Civic Duties: Meals on Wheels route with Finance Director.

Downtown Development Authority: Finalized reimbursement for damages to 101 S Glynn Street building.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ¡ The FLOCK system continues to assist in crime prevention 9/28. ¡ Command Staff meeting, reviewed City Hall staff meeting information, and upcoming events 9/29. ¡ Celebrated Mike Yearty’s retirement, held third session of the Citizens Police Academy on Criminal Investigations and Crime Scene 9/30. ¡ Division Commanders met with their teams to review information, policies, updates, and more. The “Kick Off” for Breast Cancer Awareness Month has begun, and Officers will be wearing pink shirts, ribbons, and wristbands to show their support 10/1. ¡ Started the process of building the two (2) Ford F-150 patrol vehicles.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: Engine 93 performed a drive by special appearance for a child’s birthday party; Units attended a walk-through of the new City hall; Department employees will be wearing special t-shirts during the month of October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness; outdoor burning is allowed starting on October 1,2020, please check the City’s website for outdoor burning guidelines.

Projects: Deputy Fire Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health officials and various other medical associations regarding COVID-19; daily cleaning and sanitizing of selfcontained breathing apparatus masks and regulators continues; Battalion Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan; three interviews were conducted for the two open firefighter positions; Chief’s Black and Peacock attended a virtual meeting with Lexipol, and continue to work on departmental policies and procedures; the Master Business List update has been completed.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained medians on Jimmy Mayfield Boulevard, medians on West Lanier Avenue from Grady Avenue to Meeting Place, fountain area, right of way on Lafayette Avenue, gazebo area, HDF Museum, square area, intersection of Hwy. 85 and Hwy. 314, roundabout on Grady Avenue, South Glynn Street, Ramah Road, dam area, city lakes at Dickson Springs Park, Church Street Park; trash run on North Hwy. 85, White Road, the square and parks; installed signs in Beaverbrook subdivision, and Heaton Lakes subdivision.; transferred supplies to the courthouse for Main Street Fayetteville for the Fayette Love Your Pet event.

Stormwater: Emergency repair on storm pipe at 560 Cornwallis Way. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.148 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 2.1 million gallons of system demand; repaired eight water leaks; performed maintenance on 24 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Utility Locates: 79

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements relating to City employees; continuing to review various reports and updates related to COVID-19 in order to remain in compliance; keeping spreadsheet updated for potential City employee pandemic cases; requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees who are out of work due to COVID-19-related absences; continuing to review and update various Administrative Policies for accuracy; met with Benefits Broker to discuss January 1, 2021 Plan Year and Open Enrollment.

Turn Over Report: There were no new hires and 1 termination/retirement during the week of September 28th – October 4th.
