Held a team meeting for the New City Hall – Park Space project to include Community & Economic Development Director David Rast, Finance & 10/22 Administrative Services Director Mike Bush, Public Services Director Chris Hindman, Economic Development Director Brian Wismer, and IT Director Kelvin Joiner Held a Tax Allocation District (TAD) Committee meeting with County 10/22 Manager Steve Rapson and School Superintendent John Patterson to discuss the Meridian on the Square (MOTS) project 10/22 Conducted a site visit for a property located in the Greenlea subdivision Participated in a Livable Centers Initiative proposal review meeting with 10/23 Community & Economic Development Director David Rast, Economic Development Director Brian Wismer, and City Planner Denise Brookins 10/23 Completed the weekly Meals on Wheels route Along with Human Resources Director Nella Cooper, held a meeting with staff from AVPRIDE including Executive Director Tami Morris Completed the weekly report and was present at City Hall for construction 10/24 workers who made some minor repairs 10/23

Projects: Ushered the 7 Bridges (Eagles tribute) concert at Southern Ground Amphitheater 10/20; Prepared 11/5 City Council meeting agenda packet; continued review of House Bill 879, alcohol legislation for possible municipal updates; loaded information for online GovDeals auction to begin 10/22; completed department list of users for Homeland Security GETS/WPS communication program; handled numerous inquiries from bidders on the GovDeals auction site; discussed package stores with Georgia Secretary of State’s Office; discussed with exterminating company for quote on new City Hall building.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: Truck 9 delivered Fire Safety education to children at First Baptist Church Preschool and Little People’s Childcare; units attended an appreciation luncheon sponsored by Brightmoor Healthcare.

Projects: Fire Chief Alan Jones attended the Public Services Committee meeting; Deputy Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and other medical associations regarding COVID-19; weekly COVID-19 reporting completed to DPH; continued daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus and regulators; Battalion Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan; Chief Black and Battalion Chief Chris Peacock worked on policies and procedures in Lexipol; Chief Jones and Chief Black along with City Manager Ray Gibson and Human Resources Director Nella Cooper attended a Lexipol training demonstration via Zoom; employees participated in the on-site flu shot clinic; the new hose tester was delivered; The utility vehicle (UTV) is out of service for routine maintenance; a replacement CO2 monitor for Squad 9 was ordered.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ¡ 10/19 - Chief Gray attended the directors staff meeting. ¡ 10/20 - Met with the Patrol and Criminal Investigations divisions about the Christmas Crunch detail for the holiday season; held Civilian Use of Force class with about 10 participants.

¡ 10/21 - Held Citizens Police Academy session (K-9, School Resource Officers, Tactical Response Team).

¡ 10/22 - Took a department photo and held the monthly staff meeting; covered multiple topics during a supervisor training session for lieutenants.

¡ 10/24 - Participated in the Fayette Shriners Annual Chili Fest and Cook-Off at the Historic Fayette County Courthouse; the department also hosted a DEA Drug TakeBack event near the front lobby of the Police Department headquarters.

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements relating to City employees; continuing to review various reports and updates related to COVID-19 in order to remain in compliance; keeping spreadsheet updated for potential City employee pandemic cases; requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees who are out of work due to COVID-19-related absences; continuing to review and update various Administrative Policies for accuracy; received notification from PlanSource (the benefits administration system) that the system is updated with the January 1 changes, and the system is ready for testing; working on the Open Enrollment documents, time frame, and the employee meeting schedule.

Projects: We are continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; reviewing the audio/visual plan for the new City Hall; documents retention continued (working); TempDefend installation (working/testing); Police Department records scanning and storage (waiting on PD); Fleet Maintenance Systems (waiting); write phone system RFP (to be posted next Monday); reviewed and responded to numerous e-mails throughout the week having to do with City projects.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Reviewed and ranked the Livable Centers Initiative bid submittals; met with the Tax Allocation District Advisory Committee; attended the Fayette County Development Authority and Fayette Chamber of Commerce board meetings; attended the weekly City Hall and Park Space staff meeting.

Main Street: Continued promotions for October concerts; prepared for the Drivin N Cryin concert; held Purple Madness concert; met with The Bear 92.5 FM to discuss the 2020 season and the 2021 outlook; began preparations for the Main Street annual assessment from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.

Downtown Development Authority: Held the monthly Downtown Development Authority meeting; continued work on the Lester property proposal with the City Engineer; continuing preparations for the Holiday Dorsey Fife Museum closure; finalized the initial concept for the alleyway project.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained the north side of the city, North Highway 85 medians and right of way, intersection of Highway 314 and North Highway 85, medians and right of way Highway 314, White Road and right of way, New Hope Road & right of way, square in town, cart path, Ramah Road, West Lanier Avenue (Grady Avenue to Meeting Place Drive), Lane Brown Gazebo, Stonewall Avenue (Tiger Trail to Bennett Street), West Lanier Avenue (city limits to Gingercake Road) Commerce Drive, Left side of the amphitheater, shop area, cut up broken limb on the corner of Lanier Avenue and North Glynn Street, patch work on Beauregard Avenue and Redwine Road, picked up tables and chairs from the amphitheater and delivered them to the courthouse, cleaned out the trucks.

Stormwater: Cleaned the creek behind 215 Chesterfield Court to minimize flooding; installed matting and rock at Oliver Way to stabilize the creek.

Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.5 million gallons of system demand; repaired 8 water leaks; performed maintenance on 28 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.
