CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Attended weekly Management Team meeting 8/24; attended called City Council meeting 8/27.

Projects: Completed City Council agenda packed for 8/27 called meeting and 9/3 regular meeting; gathered City Clerk/Administration information for the Fiscal Year 2021 Budget Book; continued dialogue with Comprehensive Program Services for new City Hall clock; reviewed City contracts/renewals and records retention schedules.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 47 new, 49 closed.

Projects: We are continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; reviewing the audio/visual plan for the new City Hall; working on the documents retention project; continuing Dell desktop computer setup; updated the network router; installed TempDefend facial temperature monitoring; reviewed and responded to numerous e-mails throughout the week to do with City projects.

Meetings: Met with Community & Economic Development Director David Rast and Public Services Director Chris Hindman regarding the new City Hall key schedule; weekly new City Hall review; onsite new City Hall review with Comprehensive Program Services; SAFEbuilt meeting; monthly MS-ISAC meeting; TempDefend meeting.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Attended Atlanta Regional Commission meeting on the management of the upcoming multi-use path study; attended the Fayette County Development Authority meeting.

Main Street: Attended the 9-11 Tribute planning meeting; Participated in the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats (SWOT) review with City staff and board officers; began promotion of the 10/17 Eagles tribute concert; continued social media promotions of September concerts; met with contractors to repair amphitheater roof leaks; met with Southside Church to discuss possible amphitheater rental in October or November.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ¡ We have completed our annual Police Department policy review for state certification. ¡ We are scheduling more classes on police use of force and citizens. Please look at our Facebook page and the City website for future details. ¡ Uniform patrol and C.A.R.E. Unit officers distributed gift cards at Cleveland Elementary to help get the year started for our students.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: Promotional testing for Lieutenant was held on August 26.

Projects: Fire Chief Alan Jones and Fire Marshal Bill Rieck attended a meeting with the Building Department to go over the new fee schedule for services currently provided and new work flow between the Fire Marshal’s Office and SAFEbuilt; Chief Jones attended a meeting with the City Manager and Public Services Director to go over the departmental SWOT analysis. Deputy Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health officials and various other medical associations regarding COVID-19; daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus masks and regulators continues; Division Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan; Engines 92 and 93 had routine maintenance completed this week.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained the Weatherly Walk area, Heritage Park area, Grady Avenue roundabout, Ramah Road middle island, sidewalks on Beauregard Boulevard from the roundabout to North Glynn Street, Church Street Park, and Patriot Park and its Memorial; completed the trash run at the Courthouse Square and the parks; cleared a fallen tree on Creekside Trail, completed sign changeouts in the Bellemeade subdivision; and cleaned out a portion of the gutters at City Hall.

Stormwater: Cleaned the road gutters on North Park Drive; repaired a sinkhole around the catch basin at 250 Stafford Way. Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.5 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.3 million gallons of system demand; repaired five water leaks; performed maintenance on 27 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Utility Locates: 64

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements relating to City employees; continuing to review various reports and updates related to COVID-19 in order to remain in compliance; keeping spreadsheet updated for potential City employee pandemic cases; requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees who are out of work due to COVID-19-related absences; completed meetings with employees to discuss the new proposed pension plan changes; presented the proposed Pension Plan to City Council for the second reading and approval on August 27; reviewing various Administrative Policies for accuracy.
