CITY CLERK’S OFFICE ANNE BARKSDALE Meetings: Management Team meeting; City Hall topping out ceremony; City Council meeting.

Open Records Requests: Handled several requests.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY KELVIN JOINER Work orders: 68 new, 52 closed.

Projects: Continuing to work on a list of technology needs for the new City Hall building; continued reviewing audio-visual plan for new City Hall; Courtroom live-streamed; continued with documents retention program; upgraded the DNS Internet server; VPN restructure between City and 911 Center; set up new Dell desktop computers; VLAN project connecting IT to the Police building; reviewed and responded to numerous City project e-mails.

Meetings: Met with Comprehensive Program Services to discuss City Hall audio-visual project; ran Meals on Wheels; Met with Avaya about the phone system; Held security meeting about MS-ISAC DNS; Georgia Crime Information Center audit; new City Hall topping out ceremony.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIAN WISMER Economic Development: Addressed citizen concerns prior to presentation of revisions to Alcohol Ordinance amendments at July 16 City Council meeting; editorial review with Public Relations Specialist on various articles.

Main Street: Prepared for monthly Main Street Tourism Association meeting; prepared for safely reopening amphitheater; held first amphitheater concert of 2020 on July 17; spoke with agent regarding Satisfaction concert cancellation; discussions with other artist agents regarding concert schedules.

Downtown Development Authority: Discussed revisions to 195 Stonewall Avenue site plan with architect; held Downtown Development Authority meeting.

POLICE DEPARTMENT SCOTT GRAY ยก On Tuesday, July 14, at approximately 11:20 a.m., we received a call of a

shooting at a residence on Meadowbrook Court. The investigation revealed that two men, who both lived at the residence, were engaged in a verbal argument that escalated, and the victim was shot. The victim was transported to an Atlanta-area hospital and treated for his injuries. The shooter was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Reckless Conduct, and ThirdDegree Child Cruelty.

ยก The Fayetteville Police Department has developed a Use of Force symposium

to present to Fayetteville citizens. This will be a two-hour presentation. The department is waiting for approved dates for the event to be held at City Hall.

FIRE DEPARTMENT ALAN JONES Events: Units responded on July 14 to a vehicle fire on Promenade Parkway.

The fire was coming from the engine compartment. Crews used a foam/water mixture to extinguish the fire, which was determined to be mechanical in nature.

No injuries were reported in connection to this incident.

Projects: Deputy Chief Linda Black attended various webinars throughout the week with Georgia Department of Public Health officials and other medical associations regarding COVID-19. Chief Black attended the City Hall topping out ceremony. Daily cleaning and sanitizing of self-contained breathing apparatus continues. Division Chief Jeff Gable continues to update the COVID-19 Incident Action Plan. Fire Chief Alan Jones submitted a payment request and SF425 for the Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response (SAFER) grant reimbursement. Ten Kenwood portable radios were ordered from Radio One. Five Bullard Thermal Imaging cameras were received and placed into service.

PUBLIC SERVICES DEPT. CHRIS HINDMAN Public Works: Cleaned City Hall and Police Department; cut and maintained White Road, Highway 85 North median, Jimmie Mayfield Boulevard and Helen Sams Parkway sidewalks and medians; Highway 314 and North Glynn Street intersection; City Hall, amphitheater, Stonewall Avenue from Tiger Trail to Bennett Street, museum, Heaton Lakes subdivision entrance, West Lanier Avenue from Grady Avenue to Meeting Place Drive; Stonewall Avenue from Melissa Segars Way to South Jeff Davis Drive, East Lanier Avenue from North Jeff Davis Drive to Church Street, Church Street Park, Courthouse Square, Lanier Avenue to Lafayette Avenue; trash run at the Lane Brown Gazebo, Courthouse Square, and Church Street Park; cleaned shop.

Stormwater: Repaired sidewalk in Heaton Lakes subdivision.

Sewer: Average daily flow treated was 2.1 million gallons per day; performed weekly maintenance at 26 lift station sites; maintained wastewater plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

Water: Average daily flow of 1.3 million gallons of system demand; repaired 5 water leaks; performed maintenance on 16 water meters; maintained water plant and remained in compliance of our permit requirements.

HUMAN RESOURCES DEPT. NELLA COOPER Personnel: Continuing with the implementation of the Performance Management and Performance Appraisals platform on ClearCompany; continuing to focus on COVID-19 and federal and state requirements relating to City employees; continuing to review various reports and updates related to COVID-19 in order to remain in compliance; keeping spreadsheet updated for potential City employee pandemic cases; requesting proper leave forms to be completed by employees who are out of work due to COVID-19-related absences; working with Georgia Municipal Employees Benefit System to finalize all pension plan documents; preparing new proposed pension plan documents for employee discussion meetings and the City Council presentation.
