RA_ Du' PRESIDENTE E' tl nostro quarantesimo anno. Quale traguardo di prestigio e quanti successi per it nostro Club che ha avuto un umile inizio!

Un grazie ai fondatori, ai soci e a tutto it personale. La nostra amministrazione ha ereditato una base solida, ma sotto ogni aspetto possiamo dire che oggigiomo it Club si trova in una posizione di forza e di sicurezza migliore di sempre.

Quest'anno sono stati fatti dei passi importanti; ma non dobbiamo mirare tanto al successo finale quanto piuttosto al positivo evolversi del nostro cammino di giorno in giorno.

II Comitato direttivo rivolge una particolare attenzione al bene dei soci, che sono al centro di ogni decisione, e per questo sono state prase, net corso dell'anno, delle iniziative che hanno lo scopo di soddisfare le esigenze e le richieste dei soci e dei nostri clienti.

Quale tributo alla nostra storia e culture abbiamo creato La Gondola Cafe, inaugurata a febbraio. E' uno spazio net quale i soci possono incontrarsi con le famiglie e gli amici, ed offre una ulteriore possibility di consumare cibi e bevande all'aperto.

Abbiamo assunto una persona che si dedica al marketing ed al tesseramento di nuovi soci. II suo compito e quello di far conoscere l'esperienza ed i benefici di cui godono i nostri sod, le attivita ed i continui miglioramenti che sono in programma, in modo da promuovere it marchio del Veneto Club.

Abbiamo fatto dei progressi notevoli Hells riduzione del debito, ed abbiamo consolidato la nostra posizio\le net reparto Gaming, anche se dobbiamo sempre stare motto gill a come gestirlo.

Dal gioco d'a77ardo proviene un buona parte delle entrate; ma dobbiamo fare in modo che ogni settore del club sia finanziariamente utile in maniera autonomo. Nonostante it buon andamento che abbiamo registrato durante l'anno, vi sono situazioni che devono essere tenute sotto controllo.

Continuando sulla linea di sviluppo, l'obiettivo principale che abbiamo realizzato quest'anno e stato la creazione di un piano strategico di crescita. E' la prima volta che questa iniziativa viene attuata da quando e stato fondato it Club. Con questo piano stata gettata la base dello sviluppo futuro del Club. Ma come ogni piano, per essere efficace, ha bisogno di essere sempre aggiornato in modo da riflettere i cambiamenti di mercato, le nuove sfide, e anche per mitigare i rischi che si possoono presentano. Naturalmente questo piano dovra soprattutto riflettere i bisogni e le nchieste dei nostri soci, presenti e futuri.

Gli obiettivi chiave di questo piano strategico sono: • attirare pi0 soci • prowedere cibo e servizi di ottima qualita • semplificare tl funzionamento dei vari reparti • avere una buona amministrazione nello sport • sviluppare la professionalita dei manager e del personale • rispettare la culture del Club • rimanere focalizzati sulle richieste della comunita.

Lo scopo prioritario di questa strategia e quello di attirare i giovani delle prossime generazioni. Per ardvare a cia stiamo incrementando dei cambiamenti net programma di manifestazioni ed eventi per it futuro. Vogliamo che siano eventi compresi e bene accetti dai sod, ma anche che abbiano una attrattiva per i giovani.

Vi sand molte persone che meritano di essere ricordate e ringraziate peril sostanzioso contributo che hanno dato al Club. I nostri volontari sono stati, da 40 anni ad oggi, la spina dorsale, la linfa vitale del Club.

Tuttavia tl supporto che abbiamo dai sod volontari non 6 sufficiente per coprire le necessity di un club come it nostro in rapids espansione e con esigenze di una compagnia d'affari.

Ammiriamo ed apprezziamo tl lavoro dei volontari; continuiamo ad incoraggiarlo, ma nello stesso tempo dobbiamo cercare dei campi nuovi nei quali it volontariato possa esprimersi e contribuire al bene comune. Questo sara uno dei temi che tl Comitato affrontera con molts attenzione tl prossimo anno.

II Comitato stimola it personale del Club a migliorare di continuo la prestazione net lavoro, ma nello stesso tempo riconosce che Joe Morello e tl suo staff danno it meglio di loro stessi, cercano sempre l'eccellenza nel loro lavoro e sono impegnati nella direzione indicata dal piano strategico. Quello di attuare questo piano e reatizzarne gli obiettivi e un impegno costante.

Ringrazio it Comitato per l'instancabile e generoso contributo.

Sono orgogliosa di far parte di una squadra tl cui obiettivo principate e quello di migliorare i servizi rivolti ai sod ed assicurare una lunge vita a questo grande Club.

Voglio anche ringraziare la mia famiglia che accetta, con pazienza, mio coinvolgimento nella vita del Club al punto da fame una priorita del mio tampo. Le parole non bastano per ringraziare i miei famigliari. La ricompensa del mio lavoro e nella soddisfazione di vedere che i sod danno al Comitato ed a me il loro piano supporto.

Infine vorrei augurare al Veneto Club ogni successo nel programma di rafforzare i servizi e di attirare un numero sempre maggiore di soci, in un momento in cui aspira ad essere un Club leader nel campo dello sport, della vita sociale e culturale peril bene della comunita.

PRESIDENT'S Our fortieth year! What a milestone and what an achievement from such humble beginnings. We have our founding and current members and staff to thank for this. As an administration we inherited a Club with strong foundations but by all accounts the Club is now in a stronger and more sustainable position than ever.

This year some significant steps have been taken, however, it is not about arriving at a final destination, it is about a constant journey of development and evolution.

The Committee is vigilant about putting the members at the centre of all decisions and to this end we have taken actions this year that go directly to improving the experiences and satisfaction of our members and customers.

As a tribute to our heritage La Gondola Café was opened in February of this year. It has provided another space for members to meet with friends and family and to enjoy yet another culinary option.

We have employed a staff member dedicated to marketing and membership. Her role will be to improve the experience and benefits we offer all our members as well as focusing on how we constantly improve and promote the Veneto Club brand.

We have made considerable progress in reducing our debt and have consolidated our position in the gaming area; however, we cannot afford to take our eye off the ball. While gaming provides us with a strong revenue stream we must ensure that all aspects of the Club are financially viable in their own right. Regardless of how well we have done this year, there are still areas to which we need to give laser-like focus.

In keeping with this development, a major achievement this year has been the creation of an agreed strategic plan for the first time since the Club's inception. This plan will provide the basis for the Club's growth and development in the future. Like any good strategy though, it will require constant updating to ensure that it reflects the changing market, addresses challenges, mitigates the risks that we may face, and more importantly that it reflects the changing needs of our current and future members.

The key objectives of this strategic plan are: • to attract more members, • to provide excellent food and services, • to simplify our systems and processes,

• to have a well managed sports department.

• to develop skilled management and staff, • to respect the Club's culture and, • to be community focused and relevant A key priority of this strategy is aimed at attracting the next generation of members. To support this we are making incremental changes to our functions and events program to ensure that their relevance and importance is not only understood and honoured but also appealing to the members of tomorrow.

There are many people who deserve to be acknowledged and thanked for their substantial contribution to the Club. Our volunteers have been the backbone of the Club from its inception 40 years ago. They are truly the lifeblood of this Club.

Of primary concern though is that the support we currently rely on from volunteers cannot sustain our rapidly expanding Club and its more complex business demands. While we will always embrace. welcome and appreciate the job done by all our volunteers, we must continue to support them and think of new and better ways for volunteers to contribute to the Club community. This must be a stronger focus for the Club in the coming year.

While it is the Committee's role to challenge staff to aspire to increasingly improve, Joe Morello and his staff continue to strive for excellence in undertaking their roles and have embraced the directions of the Club's strategic plan. The work to implement the plan and realize its objectives continues.

I thank the Committee for their tireless work and generous contributions. I am proud to be part of a team whose main priority is to improve the experience for our members and ensure the long-term viability of this great Club.

I would also like to thank my family for their unwavering support and patience as I have made the Club such a priority of my time. Words cannot thank them enough. My reward, however. has been to enjoy the support members have given to the Committee and myself.

Finally, I would like to wish the Veneto Club every success as it strengthens its services and appeal to a wider membership and evolves as a contemporary, world class leader in its social. sporting, cultural and community endeavours.

VICE PRESIDENTS' Rtif Once again the Veneto Club has surpassed all expectations with the addition of the "Gondola Cafe" which proved to be a wonderful centrepiece for our annual celebration of "La Festa di San Marco".

I'd like to thank Mattioli Bros for undertaking such a huge job in restoring the Gondola and making it such a beautiful centrepiece.

I would also like to thank Crema Constructions for their continued contribution and commitment to the Veneto Club. The Creme 'band of workers' were instrumental in the realization of "La Gondola Cafe" The Maintenance Program which has been undertaken by the Veneto Club has proven to be very successful and is going to plan with all necessary refurbishments, painting, general repairs and upkeep of the building and the surrounding grounds being dealt with promptly. This plan will ensure that the Club is maintained and that the standard that our members and visitors expect is delivered. The Maintenance Program will also ensure that all new additions to the Club will be preserved in the future.

"VENETO CLUB MELBOURNE CELEBRATES 40 YEARS!" I wonder what our forbearers would think as they read this sentence. Pride no doubt, and more perhaps, amazement, as their dreams have certainly been realized.

Forty years of the "Veneto Club" is an amazing accomplishment.

What started as an idea between like minded and strong willed "paesani" has now developed into a proud establishment, maintaining and fostering the true Veneto spirit. The traditions they held so close to their hearts and the friendships which weathered the torment of time and migration have now clearly Manifested themselves into an extremely strong and proud Club.

It is a privilege to be associated with such strong and passionate traditions, and, in particular, a fine example of this for me, is the Ladies Auxiliary. They are a small group of tireless hard workers who give their all for their Club. They most definitely keep the traditions alive. At every Club function you will see them, preparing, cooking and with well-deserved pride, serving their fare. They also work hard as fund raisers, and this year committed their funds to the Good Friday Royal Children's Hospital appeal. As members of the Veneto Club, you should be proud of their continued commitment, the Veneto Club's accomplishments and invest in its future.

One of these additions will be the well overdue and much needed revamping of the Baracca which is a vital part of the Veneto Club and its history. The soccer kiosk has been upgraded with the installation of a deep fryer and a new hotplate which have been installed in time for the start of the new soccer season.

"The Veneto Club has surpassed all expectations" Overall our Maintenance Program will ensure and safeguard our Club and its grounds in the years to come.

In closing I thank the Committee, in particular David Mason who is always available to lend a hand, I would also like to thank Management, Volunteers and staff for their dedication and time over the past year.

This year also marked the second BLUSH...for Breast Cancer with over $25,000 raised for Breast Cancer Network Australia. Another fun night for all the girls!

The Veneto Club has a very strong commitment to the community and fundraising for those less fortunate recalls the Club's proud history of past years. This is another tradition of which to be well proud, and is also now an established part of our Club culture.

The Veneto Club is an example of success. It reminds us all of what can be achieved with hard work, passion, determination and just a little bit of attitude. A good lesson for life perhaps?

SECRETARY'S Over the past year the Committee's strategic agenda has gained traction and the key objectives and priorities are really coming to life. These include, improving customer and member experience by delivering an improved range of services from catering, functions, conferences, sports and events, as well as bringing to the forefront our cultural significance.

We have a new 'al fresco' entertainment area, 'La Gondola Cafe', which we are extremely proud of and it is for all to enjoy, in addition there are more projects in the pipe line which we look forward to sharing with you as we continue to progress with them.

Another key element of our strategy has been to restructure our Management team to ensure that we have the right people with the right skills to lead our various lines of business. As a response to customer needs, we have introduced a dedicated Sports Manager, a Membership & Marketing Coordinator and an additional Operations Manager who are already proving to drive and lift the profile and customer base of the Club. We are in the final stages of centralising all of our lines of business, in particular finance and football which of course, provides us with greater clarity and transparency in terms of reporting.

"The level of activity within the Club reinforces that it has evolved to cater to all genres and diverse groups" On the down-side, what is proving to be a challenge is the dwindling number of Club members. As a Committee, we will concentrate our efforts to reinvigorate membership and provide benefits to members which will be enticing to all demographics.

We are also dealing with our legacy systems and investing in upgrading our software, systems and equipment, in order to gain efficiencies and benefits from our expanding business and ultimately, better serve our members and customers.

The level of activity within the Club reinforces that it has evolved to cater to all genres and diverse groups which is a testament to the hard work of the President, Committee, Management, staff, subcommittees and volunteers. It is important that we continue the momentum and remain focused on driving our 2013/2014 strategic agenda by supporting the management team and staff and by continuing to respond to the needs of our members and customers.

TREASURER'S REPG.t.1 World economies continue to struggle and Australia has not been immune to similar difficulties. The Club's finances, in particular, were borderline last year and at the start of this financial year. Management have performed well to ensure we remained profitable during this difficult period.

This year, in August 2012, the Club successfully transitioned over to the new Gaming operating model. The transition has required the attention of management and, in essence, the new model now provides the Club with greater autonomy but it comes at a greater cost. We are now responsible for the games we chose to run on our machines, the maintenance of the machines themselves, additional taxes, promotional costs and many other smaller items that previously were the responsibility of Tatts. Nevertheless, since August 2012, we have experienced a much improved cash flow.

This improved cash flow will provide us with benefits over the next ten years. With the transition now behind us, our focus in the near term will be to greatly reduce our loan balance.

The revenue from our Functions and Bistro businesses continues to grow but we face the continuous challenge of rising costs - costs in the form of labour, goods, services and the ever increasing building maintenance. Our profit margins are being squeezed and we must continue to focus on reducing costs and improve efficiencies wherever possible. The operations of our sporting sections are generally cost and revenue neutral with participants contributing greatly to Club revenues.

In the past, I have stressed that the key to the Club's financial future is by maximising the use of all its assets. Whether this is the complete refurbishment of the outdoor Gondola area into a revenue generating operation, utilising existing function rooms more, or filling the bistro during weekdays — it is an area that we must continually strive to improve.

"We remained profitable during this difficult period" Whilst the Club is profitable overall, we continue to be dependant on Gaming revenues. And Gaming is under the total control of government so we must be wary.

Lastly, a special thanks to all the volunteers for their generous contribution, management and staff, committee and subcommittees, and especially to all the loyal members for their continued support.

DIRETTORE SOCIALS L'anno finanziario 2012 é stato un altro anno di successo per il Veneto Club. II merito maggiore di questo successo e it supporto leale e continuo dei nostri soci e degli ospiti e siamo loro grati.

I maggiori risultati dell'anno sono stati: • la crescita delle entrate in tutti i reparti, • un sostanzioso aumento del profitto netto, • il modo nuovo di gestione del reparto "Gaming" • le manifestazioni annuali che attirano sempre un pubblico numeroso • attuazione dello Strategic Plan & Business Plan Sono lieto di poter fare questa relazione sui risultati positivi ottenuti in questo anno, che registra una crescita nel Club in tette le attMta di carattere finanziario. II settore della ristorazione, cibo e bevande, in aumento, tenendo conto che sono trascorsi cinque anni da quando sono stati portati grandi cambiamenti nelle strutture per migliorare questo settore. E da allora si procede sempre meglio.

Nel 2012 vi sono stati dei cambiamenti\radicali nell'industria del gioco d'a77ardo del Victoria. Dal mese agosto il club ha dovuto prendersi la piena responsabilita e la corrigleta gestione delle macchinette da gioco. II lora funzionamentp e collegato ad una agenzia di monitoraggio creata dal Govern), ma il Veneto Club e in definitive tl vero ed ultimo responsabile dell'operato delle macchinette da gioco.

Abbiamo organizzato ed ospitato molti eventi, a seguito del successo ottenuto l'anno precedente: Ecco una lista delle maggiori manifestazioni: • Blush, "festa rasa", pro Breast Cancer. Sono stati raccolti pie di $25.000 pro Breast Cancer Network of Australia • "Una Notte sotto le Stelle", la vigilia di Natale con una partecipazione record di persone.

• Un incontro alla "Baracca", sulle rive dello Yarra in una bella giornata di marzo. II tema: come preparare la "passata di pomodoro e pasta fatta in case".

• Cene con la caratteristica di abbinare it cibo preparato dai nostri chef con vini di qualita, con la collaborazione di noti produttori di vino.

Un aftro evento importante per il Veneto Club e stata l'inaugurazione di "La Gondola Café", con un progetto originate di "re-invenzione" dello spazio dove si trove la gondola. Questa iniziativa é stata accolta bene dai soci e si e rivelata un successo durante la "Festa di San Marco" il giorno dell'Anzac Day. Probabilmente tl mio maggiore impegno durante l'anno scorso é stato quello di lavorare assieme al Comitato direttivo per completare un piano startegico (Strategic Plan) seguito da un piano di crescita produttiva (Business Plan). Questo progetto e stato motto gratificante, non solo per me ma anche per tutti i membri dell'amministrazione, poiche indica una direzione chiara verso il futuro, come offrire it meglio per qualita di prodotti e di servizio ai soci e a tutti i nostri clienti.

Per l'anno che abbiamo davanti, l'obiettivo principale sara quello di pianificare lo sviluppo futuro del club e dare ai soci un servizio di quake. Certi reparti del club mostrano segni di abbandono, per cui imperativo fare uno sforzo per rawKiarli, e prendere in considerazione idee nuove allo scopo di mantenere alto il livello di competizione e assicurare al nostro club il primato su altri concorrenti. Con l'attuazione del nuovo sistema Point of Sale (POS), speriamo di essere pie efficaci nel soddisfare le richieste dei soci.

Per concludere, vorrei ringraziare tutto il personale del Veneto Club per l'impegno mostrato durante l'anno. Un riconoscimento speciale vada ai volontari. Rimango felicemente sorpreso e meravigliato del lora instancabile contributo. GENERAL MANAGER'S REt The 2012 financial year has been another successful one for the Veneto Club. A major influence on this success is the continued support of our many loyal members and their guests. We are very grateful for this support.

Major achievements for the year were; • Revenue Growth in all areas • A substantial increase in net profit • Successful transition of our gaming business • Annual Events continue to attract strong crowds • Completion & implementation of Strategic Plan & Business Plan I am again pleased to report on the financial years' result, which shows revenue growth in all areas of the club's business. Food and beverage growth is most pleasing considering it has been more than five years since the renovations have been completed.

2012 saw significant changes in the Victorian Gaming Industry.

As of August the Veneto Club assumed full responsibility for the ownership and ongoing maintenance of the Club's gaming machines. Our gaming machines are now linked to a central monitoring agency that has been appointed by the Government but it means that the Veneto Club now has the ultimate responsibility for what machines we have in the venue.

Again we have hosted many exciting and successful events, following on from the successes of last year. Some of these events include: • Blush for Breast Cancer, where more than $25,000 was raised for the Breast Cancer Network Australia.

• Una Notte Sotte Le Stelle (A Night under the Stars). Once again held on Christmas Eve with a record number of people in attendance.

• "La Baracca" on the Banks of the Yarra, held on a beautiful day in March. The day showcased Passata and Pasta Making.

• Several Wine dinners where the Club worked with wine makers to showcase the high quality food served at the Club.

Another highlight of the year was the opening of La Gondola Café, a re-invention of the area where the Veneto Club's Gondola is located. This area has been 'decked' out to be used by members and guests. This year on Anzac day we celebrated Festa Di S. Marco (St Mark's day) in and around La Gondola which proved to be a huge success.

"Our focus will be on planning for future development of the club as well as providing better value to our members" Probably my biggest focus this past year has been working with the Club committee to complete a Strategic plan followed by a Business plan. This project has been very rewarding for not only myself but also for the management team as it has provided us with a clear direction for the future of the Club and ensures a continued focus on providing the best possible service and products for our members and their guests.

For the year ahead our focus will be on planning for future development of the Club as well as providing better value to our members. Some areas within the Club are beginning to look a little tired, therefore it is imperative to update and look at new innovation and ideas to maintain our competitiveness and to ensure we stay ahead of our competitors. With the implementation of our new Point of Sale (POS) system we hope to better service our membership base.

In closing I would like to thank all the wonderful staff of the Veneto Club for their efforts throughout the year. Special mention should go to the hard working volunteers of the Veneto Club who never cease to amaze me with their tireless contributions. Also thanks to the Veneto Club committee for their continued support and finally a huge thank you to my family for all of their help and understanding.

SENIOR MANAGERS' REPL, The Veneto Club is a dynamic place to work. As Senior Managers at the Club, our days are filled with constant activity, from ensuring the staff rosters are complete, to helping in the Bistro or in the Soccer Kiosk during a busy service: from ensuring that enough stock has been ordered (both food and beverages) to making sure that the Club is clean and well presented to all who visit.

Over the last year the focus was on business planning and then embedding the Business Plan into place. We are now in a position that we can begin to act on the objectives that were set out in the Committee's Strategic Plan. This year the focus will be on team building with the restructure of the management team.

Each member of the management team has a specific area for which they are responsible with a clear set of priorities, while other priorities are shared with a team holding responsibility.

There are two big projects that are currently the main focus.

1. The introduction of a new Point Of Sale (POS) system. This system allows us to more efficiently process sales and manage the stock control within the Veneto Club. Another benefit of the new POS system, which will come to fruition during the year, will be an upgrade to the Membership database. The new system will allow us to keep in closer contact with our members, be able to provide new and exciting offers and allow us to keep you, our member, in closer contact with what is going on in and around the Club.

2. New "rostering and timesheet" system. The introduction of a new time and attendance system will help to streamline operations and ensure efficiencies in staffing.

The success of the special events, held by the Club, help to drive our team to strive for further success. The Food and Wine Nights are a great opportunity for the Kitchen Team to extend their skills and creativity. This creativity can then be seen in the different menu specials that we are constantly seeing in the Bistro. These nights are also an opportunity for us to experience different wines, to assess their popularity and then judge whether they would be suitable for inclusion in the Club's wine lists.

"The focus will be on team building with the restructure of the management team" The Veneto Club's Senior Management Team has been working hard to develop their skills, and to become a cohesive team that is able to work closely together, during various projects to continue to improve the service that is offered to members. We all look forward to the challenges that are before us in the coming year.

FUNCTIONS HEPURT I have worked in varied roles within the Veneto Club and was delighted to transfer into the function department approximately seven months ago. The role of Functions Manager has been both challenging and exciting; together with the Functions Team we have worked to provide clients with diverse events.

There have been many highlights over the past year, one of which has been the Wine Dinners. The Wine Dinners continue to be a night of fine dining, providing patrons with a sophisticated ambience, quality wine and excellent food. Each Wine Dinner offers a specially created menu that complements the wines of the evening; which are sourced from various wine regions of Australia and Italy.

"Our aim going forward is to increase and introduce new clients by providing innovation and quality service" One of our newest events is "La Barracca" on the Banks of the Yarra. The spectacular weather drew in a '9reat crowd. They enjoyed a day filled with an array of events for the whole family.

These events included traditional passata and pasta making, wine tasting and the unforgettable 'Fritelle Venete' cooked by our catering team. A fantastic day was had with fun-filled activities for the children and musical entertainment for all.

Ristorante Veneto was introduced in the bistro in the winter of last year. It was a successful evening, the bistro was transformed into a Trattoria, serving food typically enjoyed when visiting the Veneto region of Italy.

Festa di San Marco captured the spirit and fun of an Italian street festival. Marquees were erected outside adjacent to the new 'La Gondola Bar' and served typical Italian favourites such as the 'piadina' and 'polenta & baccala'.

Our function rooms have been consistently filled with a variety of private functions, making it a very busy year. Together with the Functions and Catering teams, our aim going forward is to increase and introduce new clients by providing innovation and quality service. Furthermore, we aim to provide the client with ideas and solutions to ensure their function is both memorable and successful.

Finally, I would like to thank the Functions and Catering teams and all the functions staff who work tirelessly to ensure our clients are provided with a memorable experience at the Veneto Club.

SPORTS MANAGER'S REPORT Dear Members, Firstly, it's a pleasure to be writing my first piece in the annual magazine and updating you all with what has been happening in the last year within the Veneto Club.

The FC Bulleen Lions Senior Men's team finished the season in 6th place with only four points separating them from 4th place, a solid season nevertheless. Our Senior Women's team went through the season undefeated and were promoted to the Premier League. The SSF and junior age groups throughout the Cub continue to represent the Club well on a whole. After witnessing first hand some of the excellent talent we have on show at the Club signs are looking bright for the stars of the future. I'd strongly suggest you all get down and support the Juniors and Seniors. Don't forget about Wally and Annette at the Kiosk, they continue to work tirelessly to make sure everyone is fed and hydrated over the course of the weekend and Monday evenings. We thank them and appreciate their enormous contribution.

Bocce continues to be a winner with the members and public, which is great to see. Our courts continue to benefit from group bookings, schools, corporate events and functions. Bocce has always been at the Veneto Club and the popularity of the sport continues to grow with the younger generations taking interest.

A special thank you must go to Emilio for his coaching expertise and superb maintenance of the courts.

The Veneto Tennis had some positive results with a first Grand Final win; unfortunately the women's'team could not emulate this.

The squash team is still maintaining a steady level of support and interest, but no success to report for ths year. Here's hoping next year will bring better results.

The Veneto Golf Club have seen their membership ranks continue to grow, any would be golfer is encouraged to join and take part in their monthly tournaments and social events/dinners.

A welcomed addition to our current sporting areas was the introduction of the Veneto Club Cycling Group, we look forward to extending our hand to our new addition.

On a sad note I would like to make special mention of the Veneto Club Shooters (Cacciatori) Sub-Committee. After more than 30 years this group has now come to an end. The Veneto Club would especially like to thank all who have been involved over the years, most recently, Ernesto Bertolo and Gabrielle Chiochetti.

Once again the Veneto Club played host to the annual National and State-wide Emergency Services Games. The weather was favourable to them, with not a cloud in the sky. Congratulations to all the teams that entered and for the fantastic job they do in their professions. Other events included, The Special Olympics Bocce Toumament and the Manchester Cup Asia Pacific Finals.

High schools and Primary schools both local and afar continue to use our great facilities , whether it be for their sports days, inter school competitions or Italian cultural days which include Bocce, Football, and a trip to the kitchen to practise their culinary skills.

2012 was a big year here at the Veneto Club, and 2013 will no doubt be bigger and better. Keep an eye out for ongoing work on our sporting facilities as I'm sure there will be some changes being implemented. A big thankyou to everyone involved over the year, volunteers, staff and the general public. All of this wouldn't happen without your support.

SMALL SIDED The popularity of the FC Bulleen Lions Small Sided Football (SSF) program continues to flourish with unprecedented demand and an ever increasing waiting list. In season 2012 we had over 480 registered SSF players which include children aged from 5 to 11 years old. The total number of girls participating in football continues to climb and we now have 2 Girls only teams competing in the Ull Girls league.

The SSF program is divided into over 40 teams with the vast majority of coaches being parent volunteers and supplemented by some very capable and experienced career coaches. All coaches are educated with a minimum Grassroots Coaching accreditation and have participated in practical coaching workshops undertaken by the SSF Director. The SSF program is prepared, implemented and administered by the SSF Director with the endorsement of the Technical Director of Football (TDF). This ensures a unified approach across all our SSF community that culminates in a structured progression of players throughout the SSF age groups.

The SSF Director is supported by age specific co-ordinators to help with the administration and logistics of running such a large program. We also benefit from the dedication and passion of our members who provide support via volunteering as team managers, assistant coaches, field marshals, etc. We are always looking for Volunteers so if you feel that you can assist please come forward and put your hand up to help the children.

In season 2012 we expanded our support structure to include an Assistant SSF Director and Game Day co-ordinator to enable us to improve the quality of the program and provide ongoing mentoring for our coaches. We have also invested in our infrastructure to provide more equipment that enhances the learning experience for our kids.

JUNIOR Greetings from FCBL Junior boys Another terrific year with many boys achieving personal bests and teams making the finals! It is great to see the continued success across all junior teams and with several junior players being promoted into the senior teams it cements our vision and philosophy as a Club to have players come from our junior ranks.

Under the guidance of our Junior Technical director Damiano Febbrarino over the past two years we have seen teams very focused and achieving results. Damiano has certainly been a positive influence to coaches and players.

Another successful Bassano tour was had in 2012 and yet again under 16 players are looking forward and preparing for the trip ahead this year. This is one of the highlights of any junior player at FCBL. The cultural, sporting and belonging feeling will remain with them forever.

We are all looking forward to a great 2013 season with many teams already at the top end of the ladder.

BASSANO On a chilly Sunday night, the under 16 Bulleen squad were eagerly waiting to board their plane...destination, Italy. The trip of a life time awaited us and we set out to show the Italian coaches and teams what we were made of. When we finally landed on Italian soil, we were as excited and nervous as we had ever been. The moment that we had been training, preparing and dreaming of had finally arrived.

Training began immediately and we were tested both physically and mentally. We had the privilege of being trained by some of the best coaches in Italy, Stefano Esposito and Maurizio Viscidi. With the training and guidance that these fantastic coaches provided us with, we were able to grow not only as individuals but as a team. We only had two weeks to learn as much as we could, this was very challenging but it paid off in the end. Using all the tactics and knowledge that we learnt over the course of the training we were victorious in our last game. This win capped off an incredible experience filled with laughs, tribulations and in the end, the most important thing, personal and team growth which will help us become better players in the future.

"The trip of a life time awaited us and we set out to show the Italian coaches & teams what we were made of" I would like to thank everyone who helped organise the nip and the Club for offering this amazing opportunity to the players at Bulleen. I wish this year's 16's the best of luck and hope that they can use this experience to better themselves as players. It's an experience that will never be forgotten and you will be friends with one another for years to come.

SENIOR FOOTBALL 2013 again sees changes within the playing group and with change comes a period of adjustment.

The senior coaching group comprising John Waddell, Frank McGrellis, Fab Soncin and Sergio Sabbadini, are working cohesively to position the senior team for a positive end of season result. We await the FFA /FFV proposed changes and new National Premier League Victoria structure to see what these might bring the 2014 football year.

We will continue to harness the development of our young players with the objective to elevate them through the ranks to senior football. A warm welcome to all new players, coaches and volunteers we trust you will enjoy your stay at FC Bulleen Lions.

WOMAN'S FOOTBALL An amazing journey for FC Bulleen Lions Women has seen the senior team promoted to the Women's Premier League. We are extremely proud of the FC Bulleen Lions (FCBL) Senior Women who have achieved three promotions in four years to see them elevated to the Women's Premier League (WPL) for 2013.

Our State League 3 team also had a fantastic year being promoted to State League 2, demonstrating the depth of talent that we have at FCBL. 13 of the 16 players are FCBL juniors and 10 of them were U16 last year.

It has been an amazing journey for the Veneto Club and the FCBL with fabulous support from all levels within the Club. It is a just reward for a wonderful effort from a collaborative team of officials, administrators, coaches, support staff, supporters and players to achieve a place at the highest level of Victorian Football.

The Junior Girls Football program is also going from strength to strength with two Under 11 Teams being fielded for the first time last season. Add to that Under 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16 team registrations for the 2013 season and FCBL have achieved a new record of ten teams in the Women's/Girls' department.

Congratulations to all the coaches, in particular Adrian Drury who has built on the groundwork set previously and ensured he has a competitive, harmonious and enthusiastic squad of players.

Wonderful vision, passion & hard work have created a work-hard culture, building a solid foundation for girl's football at FCBL with clear direction and pathways from junior to senior level.

A HUGE congratulations to all the players (many of which are pictured below) who made this possible, showing how working towards a common goal is always a team effort and a special thank you to the passionate supporters who cheered the team onto 18 wins and 2 draws to finish the season undefeated League Champions and State Champions.

The State League 1 Reserves team were not only competitive in their own right but provided tremendous support for the Senior Team throughout the year.

So what's the attraction for girls to "come play football" at FCBL? With a team now in the WPL, FCBL is one of only a few Clubs that offer a complete structure and pathway for Girls from juniors through to the top level of Victorian football. Add to this the great facilities at the Veneto Sports & Entertainment Centre, accredited coaches and Technical Directors that care about junior development in accordance with the national football curriculum, it is not hard to see why FCBL is the Club of choice.

And of course, the success of the Women's/Girls' program could not have been achieved without the continued support of both the Veneto Club Commitee and the FCBL Sub Committee.

RUNNERS UP U7/U8 League I `Unreal Madrid'

FIVE 2012 was another successful year for the Veneto Club Melbourne Five-a-side Competition.

Team entries once again exceeded 90 teams clearly indicating that there is strong demand for a professionally run tournament.

Teams are coming from as far as Ringwood to participate in our Five-a-side competition.

The reputation of, and hence demand, this competition has created is a credit to the Veneto Club facilities and the quality of its administration on & off the courts.

"Another successful year for the Veneto Club Melbourne Five-aside Competition" The Five-a-side competition caters for a broad spectrum of the community with teams ranging in age from U7/U8 right through to Open Men and Women.

Five-a-side runs from early October for 10 weeks until mid December. Monday night games featured for the first time catering for an U11s Girls only league. The Five-a-side competition ran four nights a week — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - on the Synthetic Pitch.

BOCCE REPORT La stagione bocciofila si concluder& con i campionati nazionali a Brisbane dall'8 al 10 giugno. Peccato che quest'anno, come lo scorso anno, non vi sia nessun giocatore del Veneto Club nella selezione del Victoria. Ricordo che per molti anni la squadra del Victoria era fonnata da quasi tutti giocatori del nostro Club. Purtroppo non avendo giovani che praticano it nostro sport, il declino e inevitabile.

Malgrado questo, al Veneto Club non siamo certo finiti. Abbiamo ancora molti bravi giocatori. Nel campionato statale per Clubs, a squadre, ci siamo classificati primi in quello maschile e secondi in quello femminile. La nostra competizione serale continua con una partecipazione molto elevata, di circa 60 persone, uomini e donne.

Vorrei ricordare alcuni awenimenti importanti. Nel mese di ottobre 2012 abbiamo fatto visita, con un gruppo di 50 persona, al Yoogali Catholic Club di Griffith per l'annuale incontro di amicizia. Dall'8 all'11 marzo di questanno siamo stati ospiti del Marconi Club di Sydney, e in questa occasione abbiamo festeggiato il 40° incontro.

E' stata una magnifica festa e ringraziamo il Marconi Club per la grande accoglienza. Diverse competizioni importanti si sono svolte al nostro Club durante l'anno.

The sub-committee of the Veneto Club Ciclismo group is pleased to report on the progress of the Cycling group.

This report discusses the status of the cycling group, events and outlook for the coming year.

1.STATUS It is with great pleasure that we advise the Veneto Cycling group has formally achieved affiliation with Cycling Australia. This affiliation was a long time coming but the benefits for members are significant. The affiliation with Cycling Australia means that members of the Veneto Cycling group are able to obtain licensing and registration for participation in national and international cycling events as well as providing a level of insurance when riding on a Veneto group outing.

2. WHAT'S HAPPENING Right now we are working with Cycling Australia to sort through some administrative tasks regarding fee structures and the Cycling Australia web site registration logistics. When operational, the Veneto Club membership fee, Cycling Australia licensing fee and group membership will be simplified into one yearly transaction on the Cycling Australia web site. A link to this site will be located on the Veneto Club website.

3. CYCLING KIT The Veneto Club cycling kit is here and has already been spotted on the road. The gear looks great; it is a "prodotto d' Italia" and is of the highest quality. The clothing has been strategically designed to accommodate sponsors logos.

People who want to purchase cycling gear can call Tony on 0408557109 to arrange a fitting session, get in early as the sizes and numbers of the clothing are limited. For sponsorship and advertising enquiries contact Anthony on 0419400172.

4. WHAT TO EXPECT We anticipate that the registration process through the Cycling Australia web site will soon be fully operational. A short inaugural ride to celebrate this milestone will be arranged for registered members soon. The ride will start and finish at the Veneto Club.

GOLF BE""""' Our Golf Club is now in its 9th year and still drawing new members from the greater community.

Current membership stands at 40 and the Golf Club encourages any would be golfer to try his hand as a guest during any of the scheduled Sunday games throughout the year. If you are interested in playing a round with the Veneto Golf Club please notify any of the committee members listed below at least 7 days prior to the game.

Subsequently if you wish to become a member but have no official handicap, the Club will establish your handicap from the first 3 rounds played; note however, the handicap is unofficial and only valid for the Veneto Golf.

With the increasing demand to play more golf, the Club successfully launched extra games during the 2012 golf calendar with an average participation of 28 players per round. This format was rolled over to the 2013 golf calendar year, which again sees strong player participation in the first four rounds which is well up on last year.

The new group grading for A Grade is 0-21, B Grade 22-26, and C Grade 27-32. As with every round played, prizes for first and runner-lip are awarded for each of the 3 divisions and it's with great pleasure that the Golf Club recognises the support of its loyal Sponsors who make all this possible.

During the 2012 golf year our Club President Frank Pezzin put forward a recommendation of introducing the Annual Presidents Cup which he was kind to sponsor. With much appreciation the motion was carried and the inaugural Presidents Cup was played at Dorset Golf Club on the 14th Oct 2012 and won by Mr Mario Menara.

IN MEMORIAM The Club unfortunately lost one of its veteran members to the prestigious Club in the sky and we offer our deepest sympathies to the Rigoni family for their loss. Tony will be sadly missed.

2012 VENETO CLUB GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP Congratulations to Mr Tony Spadaro on winning the overall Veneto Golf Club Champion for 2012. The battle came down to the last game of the year, Tony trailing the leader made his move half way through the round to eclipse his opposition and take the trophy.

GOLF "MELBOURNE CUP WEEK-END AWAY" The 2012 Goff week away was a memorable 4 days with perfect weather at Moama with 2 games played at the famous Rich River Country Club Resort.

The golf format was 4 Ball best Ball where teams of 4 players competed against other teams. The format was a great success mixing teams of low and high handicappers together and giving everyone a chance to be competitive and vie for the terrific prizes on offer.

Accommodation was at The Moama Comfort Inn which also provided tennis, a swimming pool and a great Rotunda where all could socialize with lots of eating and drinking.

At the Annual General Meeting it was resolved that a change of venue for the Melbourne Cup Week-end was in order and therefore the 2013 week end away will be held in Bendigo.

Last season (spring carnival) unfortunately despite all the hard work and sweat we put in we did not achieve any successful results across the four teams and varying grades. Two new recruits joined our teams during the season, John Allcock and Diah Hammond (both locals) who are helping to inspire and generate that little extra passion which is required with this sport.

TENNIS REPORT Dear Members and Friends, It is with great esteem that I have the chance to say thank you to all the tennis members, families and their friends. We do encourage members to use the courts socially and to invite guests for a game and also use the facilities that our great Club provides. It is important for members to remember this is our Club and therefore, the more we put in, the more we get out. We trust that members abide by the rules to ensure that every one gets a fair go.

Our current tennis membership is as follows: Family Members: 40 Single: 50 Life Members: 4 The tennis section of the Veneto Club is reasonably active throughout the year. The six courts always see plenty of action in the way of Coaching, Social games and Competition.

• Section 12 Veterans is Dennis Basile, Louis Crema, Anthony Leine, Joe Pinto, Rohan Russell, Ennio Valsorda, Tony Trovato and Val DiFelice.

As the competition is approaching the end of the Autumn Season, there could be all of the teams competing in the Finals and we wish them all the best of luck. To all our competitors, the Spring Season 2013 commences on Tuesday 6th August 2013.

LADIES' COMPETITION The Section 4 Ladies had an exceptional season in the Spring of 2012, they participated in the Grand Final but unfortunately lost by eight points, all the best for next season.

MEN'S COMPE I I I ION The Veneto Tennis is represented by our Tuesday night competition which in the Spring Season of 2012 the Club had one team playing in Section 6, one team in Section 9 and four teams playing in the Veteran's Division. Furthermore we had a team representing us in the following sections; 1, 4, 5 and 12.

In our spring season of 2012, three teams made the Semi Finals but unfortunately only one team made it to the Grand Final. After 15 years of being ineffective and losing in semi-finals and finals, the team finally won their first Grand Final. On behalf of the Veneto Club, we congratulate Section 5 for an outstanding season. The members of this team are Anthony Carafa, Alfredo Costanza Chris Harding, Tony Marchesiani, Gary McCarney, Umberto Masci and Mark Bernato.

The new Season of Autumn 2013 which commenced on Tuesday 5th of February is represented as follows; • In the Open Section 9 by, Raymond Barro, Romeo Crema, Adrian DeStefanis, Mark DeStefanis, Daniel lera, Philip McCrone, and the Fearless Captain Phillip Price, who has shown remarkable qualities in Leadership and Direction as his third term at the helm.

• Section 1 Veteran's are represented by Mario Basso, Donato D'Augello, Nick Longo, Angelo Bafunno, Barry Litchfield, Barry Tempest and Tony Bafunno.

APPRECIATION On behalf of the tennis committee we would like to thank Alma Zanatta for organising the Ladies Tuesday Competition and also for keeping the tennis room in impeccable condition at all times during the year. Alma's enthusiasm and hard work cannot go unnoticed.

The Tennis Club would like to take this opportunity to thank the Veneto Club Committee for its continued encouragement and support throughout the year. Furthermore. thank-you to all the staff in the office, bar and kitchen for your cooperation and assistance. in particular, for the excellent suppers which are provided every Tuesday night. In concluding, I would like to thank the tennis members for its continued and highly valued support over the past years.

LADIES AUXILIARY Celebrity status with Giaan Rooney!

Durante l'anno abbiamo continuato con it nostro programma di feste e attivita. Alla "Cena del Presidente" abbiamo fatto una donazione importante al Veneto Club di $14,000 e con tale somma a stato possibile contribuire alla ristrutturazione del bar nel bistro, che viene utilizzato da tutti i soci e simpatizzanti del Veneto Club.

II calendario di eventi per it 2012-2013 e stato ricco di tante manifestazioni organizzate dal nostro Comitato ed abbiamo anche partecipato alle feste del Club.

Abbiamo programmato van pranzi per i nostri soci e le donne incominciando con "Mothers' Day Lunch" a maggio poi con "Christmas in July" owiamente a luglio e it "Pranzo di Natale" a dicembre. Tutti i pranzi hanno registrato una buona partecipazione, con circa 120 persone. Le nostre lottene, con ricchi premi e bellissimi cesti con vatieta di prodotti, rimangono molto popolari e speriamo di poter sempre offrire premi di qualita.

Per la nostra festa pro Breast Cancer abbiamo collabarato un'altra volta con l'associazione del "Breast Cancer Network Australia" per la promozione dell'evento ed abbiamo fatto una sostanziosa donazione.

Nel mese di marzo di quest'anno abbiamo deciso di collaborare anche con un altro ente al servizio della comunita e doe la 'Lymphodema Association of Victoria'.

I responsabili di questa associazione ci hanno illustrato, in modo ampio, la storia e le consequenze di una condizione che necessita particolari cure mediche.

La nostra partecipazione alle feste del Veneto Club e sempre importante e quindi abbiamo lavorato generosamente assieme per it picnic natalizio ed abbiamo collaborate al successo della serata "Una Notte Sotto le Stella" in dicembre. Per ('Australia Day, a gennaio, abbiamo dato it nostro contributo al "Porchetta Day".

A marzo di quest'anno siamo state ii c nc.,e con ii pranzo di Pasqua. E' state l'occasione di una festa gioiosa. La vendita delle colombe assieme alle lotterie speciali hanno contribuito alla nostra donazione annuale al "Royal Childrens' Hospital Good Friday Appeal". Quest'anno siamo state fortunate, ed abbiamo avuto la bella soddisfazione di vedere. durante la trasmissione televisa in diretta su Channel Seven la nostra tesoriera. Tina Fracaro, consegnare un assegno di $1.000 agli organizzatori dell'appello.

Non dimentichiamo it nostro lavoro al buffet ogni domenica nella Sala Venezia. Sembra che questo nostro impegno sia molto apprezzato, e it nostro servizio diventa sempre piu popolare.

Le prossime attivita per 2013-2014 saranno: Christmas in July (24 luglio), pranzo pro Breast Cancer (16 ottobre). pranzo di Natale (4 dicembre) Vogliamo ringraziare tutti i soci, amici e simpatizzanti che partecipano alle feste. Abbiamo visto la presenza di molte persona nuove e speriamo di poter sempre contribuire a mantenere vive le tradizioni venete. Vorrei cogliere l'occasione per ringraziare calorosamente le donne del Ladies Auxiliary per la lore assisten7a. lavoro ed impegno prezioso e costante.

Trip to Bright for the Chestnut Picking

Cart soci Le novita per not anziani, purtroppo, sono poche. Ogni anno che passa sembra uguale all'anno precedente. Se vogliamo pariare di novita possiamo dire che abbiamo qualche dolore e acciacco in pit) dell'anno scorso, ma continuiamo ad andare avanti lo stesso, e siamo lieti di vedere che ai nostri pranzi partecipa un numero sempre maggiore di persone, e aumentano coloro che si fanno soci del nostro Circolo.

Vedo che la gente si diverte, it cibo e molto buono, e per not anziani una bella soddisfazione trovarci a tavola con un bel piatto di pasta e altro, e in buona compagnia. Durante i due giorni 23 e 24 aprile siamo stati in gita con un gruppo di anziani. Ci siamo recati ad Albury e Bright dove abbiamo potuto comprare nod e castagne.

Siamo stati favorifi dal bel tempo e tutti i gitanti si sono divertiti.

Voglio ringraziare i1 Comitato per il lavoro che svolge ogni mese per preparare i1 pranzo e organizzarlo in modo che tutti siano soddisfatti. Ringrazio i partecipanti al pranzo mensile. La loro presenza e un segno che facciamo le cose per bene, e it fatto che tutti siano contenti ci da un senso di orgoglio e la volonta di continuare su questa strada, sempre di bene in meglio. L'anno 2012-2013 possiamo ricordarlo per le belle feste e gite passate in buona compagnia. Ringrazio tutti colon) che vi hanno partecipato e cercano di mantenersi attivi.

Domenica 24 giugno 2012 all'assemblea generale erano presenti circa 150 soci per la nomina del nuovo Comitato.

Domenica 5 agosto, pomeriggio di amicizia con "pane, sopressa e vin brule" nella sala della chiesa di Santa Brigida. Come ogni anno, molti dei nostri soci sono venuti a questo incontro per trascorrere qualche ora in buona armonia. In questa occasione, grazie ad un accordo con Luciano e it Centro Anziani di Asiago, abbiamo potuto metterci in contatto Skype" con parenti ed amid.

Domenica 21 ottobre, ha avuto luogo it pranzo annuale. Questa stata una buona occasione per informare i soci presenti della nomina di Giorgia Rizzato alla carica di nuovo Presidente, dato che Luciano Benetti si era dimesso dal suo incarico. Tutti not lo ringraziamo per la sua guida e it suo tenace lavoro dedicato alla nostra Associazione.

Domenica 11 novembre la gita a Badger Weir 6 riuscita molto interessante poiche tl post) a meraviglioso, e tutti si sono divertiti.

Domenica 3 febbraio, picnic annuale con tempo favorevole. Questo incontro ha come caratteristica quella di offiire ai sod e amici una vasta scelta di gustosi piatti tradizionali. II Comitato si impegna a trovare i prodotti tipici della nostra cucina e a creare una atmosfera di allegria. Si trascorre cosi un pomeriggio in compagnia, e si rawivano i ncordi dell'attopiano.

Domenica 3 marzo, la gita a Cardinia Reservoir Park 6 stata allietata da un clima favorevole, ideale per questa belle scampagnata.

Lunedi 1 aprile: bicchierata di Pasquetta al Veneto Club. Un buon numero di sod, amici e ospiti daJl'Altopiano hanno fatto onore a questo lieto incontro, assieme ai 2 fratelli biondi e compagni musicisti, che hanno suonato piacevoli musiche di circostanza.

Abbiamo passato un bellissimo pomeriggio, con vero spirito di amicizia e allegria.

Un personale grazie al Comitato e ai volontari per I' aiuto che offrono nella preparazione e svoglimento delle manifestazioni della Comunita Montana. Un grazie al Presidente, al Comitato e al personale del Veneto Club per la lora cordiale assistenza.

ASSOCIAZONE PADOVANI nel MONDO Velocemente a passato un altro anno dalla nostra ultima relazione, e siamo orgogliosi che la la nostra Associazione vada ogni anno di bene in meglio. II seguente a fl nostro rapporto iniziando dal giugno 2012.

Per not Padovani, l'appuntamento piu atteso dell'anno e sicuramente la Festa di Sant'Antonio, nostro patrono, che ha luogo a giugno con un pranzo e ballo al Veneto Club. II 17 giugno none mancata la numerosa partecipazione dei nostri soci e simpatizzanti. Durante tl pomeriggio, l presidente Luigi Bacchin, assistito dal Comitato, ha consegnato it Certificato di Benemerenza ai nuovi sod, che ogni anno aumentano, e targhe di riconoscenza ai nostri sponsors che offrono magnifici regali per le nostre lotterie durante l'anno. A coloro che festeggiavano l'onomastico di Antonio/Antonietta sono stati fat gli auguri piu cordiali. In questa occasione i signori Giorgio e Santina Piccolotto sono stati nominati "Soci a vita" per it contributo da loro data all'Associazine in mofti anni.

L'assemblea generale e stata fatta domenica 15 luglio con una buona presenza di quasi 150 sod nella Sala Venezia. Dopo ii pranzo gratuito sono stati presentati i rapporti dell'anno. II rapporto della tesoriera, Anna Simion, e stato ben accolto dato che durante l'anno finanziario e stato possibile off:ire tre pranzi gratuiti ai sod, e fare delle donazioni al Royal Children Hospital Good Friday Appeal e soddifare altre nchieste. Seguiva l'elezione del nuovo Comitato Direttivo. E' stato rivolto un ringraziamento speciale a Luigi \ Marched che si e ritirato dopo tanti anni di servizio nel Comitato. Bernardo Bianco ha accettato la nomina per it pasta vacante e it resto del Comitato e stato neletto. II nostro Direttivo formato da: Luigi Bacchin, Giuseppe Trentin, Katia Bacchin, Anna e Alessandro Simian, Claudia e Franco Borella, Lucia e Antonio ZandegO, Maria e Bernardo Bianco.

Nel nostro programma vi sono state vane feste per incontri di amicizia e la gioia di stare insieme. Ad agosto abbiamo partecipato al pranzo di "Ferragosto" con le altre Associazioni al Veneto Club. Alla fine d'agosto ci siamo ritrovati per una gita di tre giorni a Griffith in occasione del "Salame Festival". In ottobre abbiamo avuto tl pranzo gratuito per i nostri membri nella sala di Holy Spirit, cucinato e servito dai membri del Comitato. Durante it Melbourne Cup week-end, per una gita di 4 giorni siamo stati a Mildura e d'intorni. II nostro picnic di Natale a dicembre alla "Baracca" e sempre un giorno gioioso perche attira i giovani e le loro famiglie. Babbo Natale questa volta e arrivato con una &Manta, antica fuoriserie tra lo stupore di tutti i presenti.

A febbraio abbiamo avuto tl picnic di Carnevale, alla "Baracca", con un gustoso menu, come sempre preparato, cucinato e servito dal nostro Comitato. Le frittole e i crostoli naturalmente non mancavano. Vi erano grandi premi in palio. Ci si augura che quest'anno vi siano ancor ptu concorrenti.

Nel mese di aprile t1 Comitato ha organizzato un pranzo gratuito nella sala di Holy Spirit per i nostri membri. E' stata un'altra bella giornata in allegra compagnia, proprio ideate per far passare malumori e stanchezze. I nostri soci e amici hanno consumato un gustoso pranzo molto apprezzato.

II giorno di Anzac Day, 25 aprile, e stato un'ottima occasione per essere assieme con le altre Associazioni al Veneto Club per la Sagra di San Marco. II tempo era favorevole e tanti hanno colto l'opportunita di godere 11 sole e gustare i cibi preparati dal Veneto Club e serviti dalle vane Associazioni.

Domenica 16 giugno, di quest'anno, abbiamo partecipato alla festa di S. Antonio. Si e iniziato con la Santa Messa nella chiesa di St.Anthony, Alphington alle 11.00am e la benedizione dei pani. Seguiva it pranzo nella Sala Venezia con musica e ballo.

Vie stata una grande partecipazione di soci e amici, come ogni anno.

Per domenica 14 luglio, nella Sala Venezia, e in programma l'assemblea generale, con inizio alle 11.00am.

Dopo it pagamento della tessera vi sara it pranzo gratuito e alle 2.00pm inizieranno i rapporti e si concludera con l'elezione del Comitato. II nostro Direttivo consiste di undici persone, che si uniscono in armonia per organizzare, lavorare e dare ai nostri soci l'opportunita di incontrarsi e godere qualche ora di compagnia per "raccontarsela". La vecchia generazione ha tanti ricordi, e si potrebbero scrivere libri di memone per raccontame la vitae i sacrifici.

12amicda e it supporto dei soci da una soddisfatone immensa al Comitato e le tante ore di lavoro e fatica vanno dimenticate quando si vede che tutti apprezzano quel che si fa. L'unico nmpianto e it fatto che i giovani che partecipano sono ben pochi, ma si vede che tutte le Associazioni hanno lo stesso problema. Si pub solo sperare nel futuro!

Concludendo, vogliamo ringraziare i soci e amid per it loro continuo supporto, i membri del nostro Comitato "sempre pronti a lavorare" e le lora famiglie, it Direttivo e personale del Veneto Club per l'ospitalita data durante l'anno.

ASSOCIAZIONE TREVISANI nei MONDO

L'Associazione Trevisani nel Mondo ha celebrato nel 2012 it 40.mo compleanno e dopo 40 anni di esistenza non sembra invecchiata e continua ad offfire ai suoi membri feste e attivita sempre ben preparate e ben riuscite. Nel suo Direttivo da un po' di tempo si sono viste facce nuove, soprattutto di giovani e di donne, che danno nuova linfa e nuovo entusiasmo anche a chi fa parte del Direttivo dal giorno della fondazione.

Come al solito le attivita sociali iniziano con it picnic annuale alla "Baracca". Ogni anno it picnic attira tanta gente di tutte le eta. Si comincia sempre con la Santa Messa a cui fa seguito un pranzo ricco di variety di cibi. Durante it giorno si organizzano giochi per i bambini e naturalmente gli adulti si cimentano con accanimento nel gioco della "morra giapponese". Alla sera i giovani e le donne allestiscono una cena in cui non manca la tradizionale polenta e formaggio.

Come tutte le altre Associazioni anche l'A.T.M. prende parte attiva alla Festa di San Marco ogni anno it 25 Aprile, Anzac Day. Nel mese di maggio ci si trova al Freccia Azzurra Club di Keysborough per un buon pranzo, ottima musica e alla fine la tradizionale castagnata ben annaffiata da "vin brule".

E' diventato ormai di dovere nel mese di giugno trascorrere un "weekend" assieme ai Trevisani di Myrtleford. Di solito la domenica comincia con la Santa Messa a cui intervengono Trevisani anche dai dintorni sapendo che la Messa 6 in italiano e si cantano canzoni tradizionali che richiamano alla mente la "Bella Marca Gioiosa".

A settembre con grande partecipazione di soci e amid si celebra la festa del Santo Patrono Pio X. Numerosi soci ed amici si ritrovano al mattino per la Santa Messa all'Assisi Centre di Rosanna e poi per un gran pranzo al Veneto Club. Si chiude l'anno con un pranzo speciale al Veneto Club verso la fine di novembre.

Dal 10 al 17 settembre dello scorso anno e stata organizzata una gita ad Adelaide e dintorni a cui hanno partecipato 50 sod. E' stata una bellissima esperienza. Nel 2013 piO o meno si ripetono le attivita ormai diventate tradizionali.

Quest'anno, nel mese di ottobre, ci sara a Griffith it Congresso a cui parteciperanno tutte le Associazioni dell'Australia. Dall'Italia quest'anno verra una buona rappresentanza, che avra poi l'opportunita di visitare anche la Nuova Zelanda. Si prevede peril Congresso una partecipazione folta e varia.

Ringraziando Dio la nostra Associazione, ben guidata da un Direttivo magistralmente tenuto unito dal presidente Andrea Bettio, continua ad essere attiva come quando ha avuto inizio, grazie anche ai giovani che fanno parte del Comitato. II numero dei soci da anni e superiore alle 300 unity, nonostante non siano pochi quelli che ci lasciano ogni anno.

Congratulazioni a chi dingo e un grazie speciale al Veneto Club che ci da la possibility di riunirci e di celebrare le nostre feste pi0 belle e pit) importanti.

ASSOCIAZONE VERONESI La nostra attivita associativa ha lo scopo di ritrovarci tra soci e simpatizzanti, stare assieme con spirito d'amicizia e trascorrere alcune ore in lieta compagnia. L'anno trascorso stato un anno di incontri sociali e culturali, mirati a valorizzare le nostre tradizioni. La prerogativa piu importante della nostra missione a sempre quella di fare rivivere le tradizioni delle nostre origini e fare in modo che con it passare degli anni non vengano dimenticate dalle nuove generazioni.

Carissimi soci ed amid, la rivista pubblicata data sede centrale dell'Associazione di Verona ritorna nelle nostre case. Grazie ad un accordo con ii presidente Fernando Morando e stato deciso che le spese della spedizione postale siano condivise: Verona si prende carico della spedizione in blocco delle riviste a Melbourne e la nostra Associazione copre le spese dell'invio delle singole riviste ai soci iscritti aJl'Associazione.

Si rende noto a tutti i soci che al Veneto Club di Bulleen, al primo piano, 6 stata allestita una sale museo dove tulle le Associazione Venete hanno a disposizione una vetrina per esporre materiale di interesse culturale. Anche not Veronesi abbiamo it nostro spazio contenente documentazioni, trofei, libri ed una grande rassegna di fotografie ed interviste dove e racchiusa la storia complete della nostra Associazione di Melbourne dalla nascita ad oggi. Si possono vedere anche alcuni fossili delle montagne veronesi. Se qualcuno fosse interessato a vedere it materiale esposto e pregato di fare un appuntamento con Renzo Zanella o eventualmente chiedere la chiave all'ufficio del Veneto Club.

Possibilmente una delegazione della "Veronesi nel Mondo" di Verona capeggiata dal presidente Fernando Morando ed altri membri del Comitato fara una visita a Melbourne nella primavera 2014 con it proposito di fare la nostra conoscenza e di trascorrere qualche giorno assieme.

II nostro Circolo e uno dei pochi che negli ultimi tre anni e stato capace di invogliare molti giovani a partecipare ai nostri picnic annuali. In questo modo abbiamo potuto anche registrare un incremento di sod e simpatizzanti; e tutto do grazie al nostro instancabile e generoso Comitato. L'anno scorso al picnic annuale alla "Baracca" hanno partecipato 300 persone, e quest'anno 380. Un grazie vada ai genitori e nonni che sono venuti elle festa accompagnando figli e nipotini.

Le nostre feste a le gite sono state tutte bene organizzate e mofto apprezzate dai sod.

Quest'anno c'e stato un piccolo cambiamento nel Comitato: Pierino Bresolin si e dimesso per ragioni personaJi, ed Adriana Sandona e entrata a far parte del Comitato; Nino Bussolaro e it nuovo tesoriere.

Un ringraziamento da parte del nostro Comitato al Veneto Club che ci °spite per la maggior parte delle nostre feste. Un grazie al nostro contabile Franco Ga77ola per I'ottimo lavoro svolto, come pure ai nostri volontari che ci danno sempre una mano senza pretese, ed un grazie di cuore a tut cobra che offrono doni per la lotteria.
