RAPPORTO DEL

PRESIDENTE A termine di un altro anno, penso sia giusto essere soddisfatti per quanto abbiamo realizzato. II Comitato direttivo ed io guardiamo al cammino percorso con successo; ma pur celebrando gli obiettivi raggiunti, rimaniamo focalizzati su cto che ci attende nel futuro.

Questo nostro Club ha fatto una lunge strada, e speriamo che abbia davanti a se un grande awenire. Riconosciamo di e_ssme giunti ad una posizione di rilievo; ma non mettiamo limiti a cio che potrebbe essere it nostro futuro.

La vita di questo meraviglioso sodaJizio e un viaggio e non una destinazione. E durante tl viaggio siamo sempre pronti a prendere delle direzioni nuove. Nella maggior parte dei casi ci muoviamo nella direzione giusta, ma puO capitare che prendiamo delle decisioni che sono discutibili e ci portano su un sentiero che avremmo voluto evitare.

In quest casi cerchiamo di correggerci al piu presto possibile, e lo facciamo prestando molta attenzione agli obiettivi finali dei nostri progetti.

Con questa attenzione 6 facile riprendere la direzione giusta.

Quest'anno abbiamo fatto dei buoni progressi.

Sono orgogliosa di aver lavorato con un Comitato ed un gruppo di dirigenti che hanno a cuore it successo del Club. Si sentono motivati e ne fanno una priorita.

Credo veramente che se rimaniamo focalizzati sul nostro viaggio e sui valori che vogliamo siano la guida della nostra azione, allora tutto tl resto verre da se.

Quest'anno abbiamo realizzato delle opere significative: • Secondo i dati del rapporto di fine anno, dal punto di vista finanziario ci troviarno in una buona posizione, ma vi assicuriamo che non rimaniamo fermi su questa posizione.

• Abbiamo assunto una persona con ii compito di promuovere la nostra culture. Ha una buona esperienza iretta sia della Regione e della Province del Veneto sia dell'Austr4ia. Con tale esperienza potre alutarci a sviluppare dei progetti culturali a quali diamo molta importanza.

Rnora si 0 sempre pensato e lavorato per il miglioramento della sede e per assicurare una base sicura dal punto di vista finanziario ed operativo.

Adesso e ora di puntare lo sguardo RHO in alto e lontano. Dobbiamo chiederci: • In quale direzione vogliamo che si muova il Club?

• Cosa vogliamo che rappresenti il Club?

• Che cosa 0 importante per il Club?

• Quell sono i valori sui quali non vogliamo comprometterci?

• Come possiamo essere sicuri che le decisioni prese dal Comitato e dal gruppo manageriale, di volta in volta, siano nella direzione giusta per il Club?

Le risposte a queste domande, ed altre, ci aiutano a capire se stiamo prendendo delle decisioni sbagliate, se andiamo fuori strada.

A livello pratico sono una guida per i progetti finanziari ed operativi, e un modo chiaro per misurare it successo di quanto viene deciso.

Sviluppando questo piano si chiariscono alcuni aspetti della vita del Club, ad esempio: • Avere una "base" di sod che si sente orgogliosa e soddisfatta • Essere certi di avere una buona consistenza, in ogni direzione Sono proprio la consistenza e la maturita che porteranno H Club verso un nuovo traguardo. Una delle sfide per tutti i membri del Comitato 0 quella di riuscire ad infondere nei soci un senso di fiducia per continuare tutu insieme ad operare per il bane del Club, nel viaggio ininterrotto verso il futuro.

Un'aftra sfida a quella di assicurare che ci sia una piattaforma di regole operative motto chiare, in modo che i possibili cambiamenti abbiano tl minore impatto possibile sul Club.

Guardando all'anno passato, e doveroso essere riconoscenti a molte persone, che sono state important, per i successi ottenuti.

• Abbiamo attuato un programme di "manutenzione" del club per assicurare che nei prossimi 10 anni tutto it complesso rimanga in perfette condizione di servizio.

Prima di tutto vorrei ringraziate it mio Comitato. Mi sento orgogliosa di far parte di una squadra che ha avuto come obiettivo principale quello del successo del Veneto Club. Ringrazio i membri del Comitato per il loro lavoro e il continuo supporto durante I'anno.

• Disponiamo di fondi, in banca, per pagare le "gaming machines", e quindi non dovremo ricorrere ad altri prestiti. II Club non avrebbe neppure sognato, 5 anni fa, di avere questa possibilita.

Un grazie a Joe Morello e al suo personale. Joe e i suoi collaboratori cercano in tutti i modi di migliorare i servizi ed offrire un prodotto di alta quanta.

E' importante guardare al passato e imparare da esso. Con la mente fissa a ciO che potrebbe essere it futuro, siamo riusciti a portare il Club alla posizione di prestigio di cui gode oggi.

Non posso dimenticare i volontari. II loro contributo e supporto si estendono a tanti aspetti delle vita del Club, e la loro dedizione e ben note e visibile a tutti.

La prossima tappa del viaggio sara critica per poter raggiungere un nuovo livello di sviluppo.

Infine un grazie speciale ai membri della mia famiglia, che hanno saputo colmare i vuoti quando sono stata assente per motivi di lavoro.

I membri del Comitato d'accordo con i managers stanno preparando un programma per il Club in modo che si possa fare tutto it possibile ed entro tempi prestabiliti.

Grazie di nuovo a tutti voi, sod e simpatizzanti, per il supporto dato a me e al Comitato, con l'augurio di poter continuare con tutti voi it viaggio verso nuovi traguardi.

Lo scopo di questo programma e quello di essere certi che il Club proceda verso la direzione di una costante crescita.

PRESIDENT'S

R =PORT We've come to the end of another year. And again I think we can all applaud our achievements.

We need to answer critical questions such as:

As my committee and I reflect on the path that has taken us here, I realise that while we celebrate our achievements every year, we need to stay focused on the path ahead.

• What do we want the club to be?

This club has come a long way and we hope it has a longer road ahead. We should acknowledge where we are but realise that there is no final destination for this club.

• How do we make sure that the decisions that management and the committee make each day are going to take us closer to where we want to go?

The life of this great place is a journey not a destination. Over that journey, decisions will be made that will take us in different directions and from time to time our direction will waiver. The lesson comes from acknowledging that wrong direction as early as possible, and always staying focused on the ultimate path we want to take. With that focus it's easy to correct and get back on track.

The answers to these questions and others help us make sure we don't take wrong turns on our journey. On a practical level they guide the budgets and operational plans for the club and allow us to agree on how we measure success.

We have made good progress on our journey this year. A stand out for me is the knowledge that I have worked with a committee and a management team that has the success of the club as its priority and sole motivation. I have said this before and genuinely believe that If you stay true to the journey and the values you bring to decision making then the rest takes care of itself.

• What direction do we want the club to go?

• What's important to the club?

• What are the things we will not compromise on?

As we develop the plan certain things are becoming clear as important for example: • Having a proud and satisfied member base • Making sure that we're consistent top to bottom, left to right

We've achieved some significant things this year:

This level of consistency and maturity is what will take the club to a new place. One of the challenges for the committee to everyone involved in the club is to give this the thinking it deserves so that we can confidently continue on our exciting journey.

• Our end of year figures will show that financially we're in a good position however we want to reassure you that we won't rest on these results

The other challenge for us is to leave the Club on a secure platform with a solid plan so that any change that may happen will have the least amount of impact.

• We have appointed a project manager to assist us with the promotion of our culture. She has direct expertise and experience with the Veneto Region and its Provinces both in Italy and in Australia. Her experience will help us drive the cultural aspect of the Club's strategy which we value highly.

Of course as we look back over the year that has passed there are many people that we need to acknowledge. People who have helped make our journey successful and simpler.

• We have undertaken a maintenance program which will address our maintenance issues and ensure that the Club looked after physically for the next 10 years.

First and foremost I would like to thank my committee. I am proud to be part of a team whose main priority is the improvement and success of the Veneto Club. I thank them for their hard work and unflagging support over the last year.

• We have funds in the bank to pay for gaming machines — allowing us to secure gaming for the club without any borrowings. The club could not have dreamt of this 5 years ago It's important to reflect on the past and learn from it. But staying focused and building for tomorrow is what as brought this club back to where it is today.

The next part of our journey is critical to take the club to a new level of maturity. The committee in conjunction with the club's management are building a strategic blueprint for the club — making sure we do all we can to build on the great work done to date. The purpose of the plan is to confirm and agree the direction the club needs to go in order to continue to grow. The purpose of this plan is to secure that direction.

The journey so far has been about improvement and putting the club on a strong foundation both financially and operationally.

Now it's time to agree what our "north star" is.

A big thank to Joe Morello and his staff. Joe and his team continues to strive for excellence and working towards improving our product.

It would be remiss of me to go on without acknowledging and

thanking the continued hard work and support of our volunteers.

Your contribution and support is wide and varied and your dedication is relentless and does not go unnoticed.

Finally to my family a huge thank you for being there to fill up the gaps when I've been too busy.

With that I thank all of you for your support of me and my committee

and I look forward to continuing this journey with you all.

Special mention must be given to our young waiting staff. They are a remarkable group of young adults, who selflessly donated their time and efforts, and helped make the night lots of fun and

Productive and innovative was the Bistro, as our talented chefs were the well deserved recipients of the silver spoon at the Chef's Table awards for Clubs Vic. Congratulations to the hard working, passionate and diligent people we have working in our kitchens!

The Veneto Club has a very proud history in fundraising, and together with such a strong sense of community spirit, BLUSH was reminiscent of the heady days of Miss Italian Community during the decades of the 60's, 70's and 80's. The Veneto Club's contribution to the community via what was then known as the Spastic Society of Australia, (now known as Scope). was recognized, admired and very well respected.

on a personal note, was the Breast Innovative and exciting Cancer Network Australia fundraiser "BLUSH" for Breast Cancer.

Held in the Sala Venezia, decorated passionately in PINK, in October, and catering to over 320 pink thinking, like minded women, the event raised close to $38,000 for such a wonderful cause.

Auctions, raffles, music, games, dancing and entertainers all made for a successful and extremely enjoyable night. Our chefs, suppliers, distributors and Veneto Club managers and staff were abundantly generous. It was, for me, a privilege to be involved with a small group (only 4!) of dynamic women, who helped accomplish such a remarkable result in less than 3 months.

"The Veneto Club is the place to be" sports, functions, entertainment, food, gaming, solicalising it is all here. My thanks to Joe Morello, the staff, the Ladies Auxiliary and the numerous volunteers for their loyalty and dedication.

It is also satisfying and pleasing to see that a variety of people are utilizing what our Club has to offer more than ever and that the attendance of families has grown. This to me proves that the Club and the Committee are on the right track.

September saw a second team of young soccer players travel to Bassano and represented our Club in a professional manner and have done us proud. I would like to see this event continue in the years to come as it keeps us in touch with our roots and the young.

Our Ladies Auxiliary were instrumental then in fundraising, and are still an extremely active and strong force. The ladies held their own Breast Cancer fundraiser luncheon, with more than 200 women in attendance. Again, a remarkable effort! Clearly. that strong Veneto community spirit has not wavered! is to see the interaction at the Veneto Club.

Engaging between the young and the young at heart. Sport, cultural functions, member interaction, special 'foodie" events, and just the spirit of tradition as you enter the Club.

Much needed improvements carried out at the Veneto Club: • Installation of new benches in the bar area in the Sala Venezia • A new counter, a new cake fridge and cash register were fitted in the Bistro • We are carrying out the painting of the whole Club to give it a fresh face lift • Acquired additional containers for storage In closing, I would like to thank my fellow Committee members who have dedicated their time and effort in solving the many challenges presented to them throughout the year.

SECRETARY'S

REPORT Over the past four years, the Veneto Club Committee & Management have taken significant steps to set and achieve objectives and principles aligned to our optimal operating model which is based on the centralisation of all lines of Club business supported by a committed management team and staff which is fit for purpose and governed by the Veneto Club Committee. We have achieved great things within the Club and in the Community and our commitment to growing the business, enriching our ties with the Veneto region and strengthening relationships and partnerships with our community is steadfast and the results speak for themselves.

The level of activity in the Club on any given day is lively and enriched with a variety of people and groups which is reflective of a thriving business and it is incredibly pleasing to be a part of this.

However, it is important that we do not take the success we are enjoying for granted and that we continue to work hard and be resilient to push through all the challenges which come our way.

The Committee's key agenda is that we are prepared and armed to deal with the potential uncertainties of the future and that we are guided by a strong focus on keeping the Club safe.

Through numerous workshops and focus group sessions, we have defined that the key to sustained success is to deliver 'superior service' to our members and customers. We will continue to shape our future based on our members' and customers' needs. Our management team is empowered, engaged and skilled to drive sustainable service delivery and performance which results in a consistent experience for all of our members and customers. We are continually driving service

and process improvements to support management of our operational costs. We are moving towards a flexible business model that is able to utilise our skill sets across a broader scope of responsibility, which results in a cross skilled team, delivering outcomes for the Club - a beneficial factor which contributes to our overall goal of being the "Club of Choice".

Our way forward is the planning process which provides us with the platform for solid growth and security. We are making every effort to ensure that each line of business is profitable and aligned to our priorities, policies and principles. We are a viable business and the environment at the Club is invigorating but as a Committee, we need to remain focused on managing our key priorities and principles which is to provide sound governance and controls and to apply rigorous financial management in order to deliver a suite of services ranging from food & beverages, gaming, entertainment, sport, conferencing as well as community and cultural events. The Veneto Club's culture in particular is the backbone and driver of our existence and ultimately defines our Club, so we will strive to keep our culture alive by weaving it through our activities.

In closing, many thanks to the members of the Committee and President, Dallila Sabaddini, Joe Morello, the management team and staff, and of course, the numerous volunteers and supporters whose contribution and presence at the Club is greatly valued and appreciated.

Distributors Of Quality Fine Foods

The hospitality industry, along with a great many other industries, has now been experiencing a major downturn since the Global Financial Crisis started four years ago. The Veneto Club has faced these tough trading conditions head-on but despite these obvious challenges, the Club's 2010/2011 financial year results were particularly commendable, and we continued to grow our revenues in all four of our major business areas — food, drink, gaming and sport. We can look back at the last year as one of both substantial achievements and considerable challenges.

The 2010/2011 financial year marks the fourth successive year of trading profits, an achievement only made possible by the continued focus of staff, management and of course, the patronage of all our loyal members.

We have reached a number of important milestones this year. Some of these milestones will add to revenue, some will add to costs but improve the quality, the service, the look and the feel of your Club. Gaming is by far the most important achievement — we have finalised all the funding required for the purchase of the machines, the games and the licenses.

which have a life term of ten years, will be paid off over the next five years. and we expect to see some improvements in revenue within months of transitioning to the new gaming model. In summary. all our financial gaming obligations have now been achieved without any additional bank borrowings.

On the cost side of the ledger, we have implemented a long-term painting contract that will see the Club receive an initial face lift followed by regular maintenance. The cleanliness of the Club has been a continued focus for the Committee and a new contractor has been signed up. Both these contracts will assist with the upkeep of the building infrastructure and add to the appeal of the Club. The flow-on from these two contracts will ensure that our revenues are initially maintained and eventually improved.

The next twelve months will be an exciting time and I look forward to seeing you all at the Club soon.

SOCIAL Con la chiusura di un altro anno finanziario, vorrei ringraziare tutti i nostri affezzionati soci ed i loro amid per il continuo supporto dato al Club. E' una vera soddisfazione poter constatare che, dal punto di vista finanziario, a stata registrata una crescita in ogni reparto del Club. In particolare it cibo e le bevande sono prodotti di consumo in costante aumento negli ultimi 5 anni, e sembra che vi sara una richiesta sempre maggiore.

Ora siamo preparati finanziariamente per le nuove disposizioni del reparto giochi e abbiamo intrapreso progetti per il miglioramento capitale. Questi progetti sono tl nuovo bistrot servery ed il 1 nuovissimo bar nella Sala Venezia. Abbiamo comunque intrapreso anche un programma di manutenzione importante e abbiamo impegnato un imprenditore specialista per riverniciare e mantenere il la verniciatura di tutto it palazzo per i prossimi died anni.

II Club e molto attivo, ma questo non significa che ci fermiamo dal cercare nuovi motivi di eccellenza. Nell'anno trascorso it Club ha vinto tre premi significativi. Nel mese di Luglio 2011 la squadra di chefs (capo cucina David e vice Charles) hanno vinto l'argento (secondo premio) nella gara "Clubs' Victoria Chefs Table Award", e nella stessa competizione hanno vinto it premio per "Best Presentation and Service". Congratulazioni a David, Charles e anche a Marcus Pelham, per il prestigioso risultato.

Poi a Novembre 2011 il Veneto Club 6 stato riconosciuto come "Best Sporting Club" per i "Clubs' Victoria Achievement Awards".

Essendo giunti al termine dell'anno finanziario, diamo gia uno sguardo al futuro, con la prospettiva di un altro anno di successi per il Club.

Negli ultimi 12 mesi abbiamo ospitato numerosi eventi di successo, e per tutti vie stata la riconferma per il prossimo anno.

Alcuni di essi sono stati: • Blush for Breast Cancer. Sono stati raccolti $35,000 a favore del Breast Cancer Network of Australia.

• Una Notte Sotte Le Stelle. Serata di canti e spettacolo la vigilia di Natale • Carnevale di Venezia. Cena danzante, di sabato, nel mese di marzo, con tema II Carnevale.

• Baracca on the Banks of the Yarra. Nel mese di marzo, con preparazione sul posto di pasta a salsa • Cene e assaggi di vino. Iniziativa per promuovere vini di qualita abbinati a piatti speciali.

Un'altra iniziativa nuova e stata quella di nominare "Employee of the Year". II premio inaugurale a stato assegnato a Kostas Kechris che lavora nel Bistro. Questo premio incoraggia tutto il personale a migliorare la qualita del servizio. Bravo Kostas! E bravi tutti coloro che hanno gia ricevuto questo riconoscimento mensile.

Grazie a tutto ii personale del Veneto Club per il meraviglioso impegno dimostrato durante l'anno passato. La vostra dedizione non passa inosservata!

Nei dodici mesi trascorsi abbiamo creato una nuova struttura di base allo scopo di assicurare al Club una migliore efficienza. E' formata da operatori nel settore del Catering, Food & Beverage, Operations, Sports e Commercial. II gruppo (Work in Progress) e una buona base per assistere la crescita del Club nel futuro.

Le nuove disposizioni del Governo per il gioco d'anardo entreranno in vigore a partire dal 16 agosto. Sono pit) che fiducioso che tI Club e pronto ad affrontare i cambiamenti. E' stato richiesto molto tempo per preparare questo evento.

L'aspetto ph) significativo della nuova legge e che nel futuro la piena responsabilita delle operazioni di gioco sara del Club, mentre fino al 15 agosto il Club sara in societa con la Tattersalls.

Questa compagnia si occupa delle macchinette e della loro manutenzione, della pubblicita e delle questioni legali annesse al gioco. Con le nuove regole, il Club diventera operatore unico e dovra assicurare tl buon funzionamento del Reparto Giochi in modo appropriato e responsabile.

Guardando al futuro, abbiamo davanti a not delle sfide interessanti.

Come gia accennato, una a quella del nuovo sistema operativo delle poker machines, ma un'altra e quella di un piano a lungo termine per assicurare al Club un ruolo di primo piano nella vita comunitaria. Inoltre si pensa ad un progetto di formazioni del personale. Al momento possiamo dire che tutto il personale, lo staff, si comporta in modo lodevole; ma si puo fare di pit), si pig) "investire" maggior tempo e impegno per migliorare it servizio che si offre ai clienti. E si ottiene cio se il personale viene educato all'ospitalita, con dei corsi finalizzati a far conoscere e migliorare tl modo di rapportarsi con i clienti. Una iniziativa per il personale di cucina e gia in fase di attuazione grazie alla presenza di uno chef, Andrea, che viene dal Friuli. Andrea non si trova al Veneto Club solo per lavorare e conoscere il Club, ma anche per trasmettere le sue conoscenze e competenze al nostro personale di cucina.

Infine vorrei ringraziare it Comitato del Veneto Club per il suo continuo supporto. Estendo la mia gratitudine ai membri dei Sottocomitati e ai volontari per l'impegno dimostrato durante tutto l'anno. Un grazie speciale al gruppo "Ladies Auxiliary", che si dedicata con entusiasmo nella organizzazione di manifestazioni a scopo di beneficenza. REPORT As another financial year has just ended, I would like to thank the many loyal members, and their guests who continue to support our Club. It is pleasing to report on the last financial years' result, which shows revenue growth in all areas of the Clubs business.

Food and beverage sales in particular, have had an on going year by year growth for five (5) years now, and all considered, looks like continuing.

Whilst the Club is still very busy it has not stopped us in excelling in our industry. In the past year, the Club has won three very significant awards that are worth mentioning. In July, a team of our Chefs (Head Chef David & Sous Chef Charles) took out the Silver award in the prestigious Clubs' Victoria Chefs Table Award, and in the same competition we also won the award for Best Presentation and Service. Congratulations must go to David, Charles and also Marcus Pelham, for this magnificent result.

Also, in November 2011, the Veneto Club was recognised as the Best Sporting Club in the Clubs' Victoria Achievement Awards.

In the last twelve months we have hosted numerous exciting and successful events, all of which have been rescheduled again in the next twelve months. Some of these events are: • Blush for Breast Cancer. We raised more than $35,000 for Breast Cancer Network of Australia.

• Una Notte Sotte Le Stelle. (A Night under The Stars) held each year on Christmas Eve. • Carnevale di Venezia. This was held in March as a Themed Saturday Night Dinner Dance.

• Baracca on the Banks of the Yarra. Also held in March showcasing Passata & Pasta Making.

• Several Wine Dinners. Working with wine makers to showcase our Clubs food quality.

Another new initiative was the introduction of our Employee of the Year. The inaugural award was won by Kostas Kechris, who works tirelessly in the Bistro. This award encourages all staff to go above and beyond their duties to continually improve our level of service. Well Done Kostas, and all the monthly recipients since the awards began. Thank you also to all the staff of the Veneto Club for a wonderful effort over the past year, your efforts do not go unnoticed.

In the past twelve months we have also instigated a new team based Management structure, to ensure the Club continues to improve our efficiency. The teams consist of; Catering, Food & Beverage, Operations, Sports and Commercial. The new structure is a Work In Progress, however I feel it is a good foundation to assist the Clubs growth in the future.

Financially we are now prepared for the new gaming arrangements; we have undertaken capital improvement projects. They were the new bistro servery, and the brand new bar in the Sala Venezia. We did however embark on a major maintenance program and have signed a Painting Service contractor to re-paint and maintain the painting of the entire building for the next ten years.

With the financial year now complete, focus turns to the year ahead, in what should prove to be another big year for the Club.

The new Gaming arrangements with the Government come in to play from August 16. I am very confident the Club is more than prepared to move smoothly into the new structure. Countless hours of preparation were and still are required to plan for these major changes. The main impact for the Club, is that the entire responsibility for the operation of gaming falls directly with the Club, where as up until the 15th of August we are in partnership with Tattersalls. They have generally taken care of all machine changes and upgrades, assisted with marketing and collaborated on all legislative changes. The new arrangements will require us, as a venue operator, to ensure all governance of gaming is managed appropriately and responsibly.

Looking into the future we have some interesting challenges ahead. I have already mentioned the gaming changes that will ulitilise a lot of my time however, we also need to review the long term plan of the Club to ensure the Clubs relevance in the community. Another major focus will be staff training. Whilst all staff currently are performing well, further investment in the way of time and effort into improving our service to customers. This can be achieved by, conducting more training sessions that will enhance our staff knowledge and capabilities and employing more career minded hospitality focused people . One initiative for our kitchen crew has just commenced in the form of our new Italian Chef Andrea, who has recently joined the team from Friuli in Italy. Andrea is one of the chefs David Gauci (our Head Chef) worked with in Italy last year during his study trip. Andrea is here to not only work and learn about our Club but I am sure he will also impart his skills and knowledge onto our team.

Finally, I would like to offer my thanks to the Veneto Club Committee for their continued support. Furthermore, I offer my extended gratitude to Sub Committees and Volunteers for their outstanding efforts throughout the year. Special thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary whose continued commitment and dedication to their involvement in organising many fundraising events and special occasions, really is greatly appreciated. Finally to the members, your involvement and participation is vital to the continued growth and success of the Club.

ome molti emigrati italiani, anche i nonni di Guido negli anni '50 intrapresero il lungo viaggio dall'Italia all'Australia, via mare, e per loro duro ben 3 mesi. I nonni, dalla parte del padre, erano originari della provincia dell'Aquila, Abruzzo; e dalla parte della madre provenivano dalla cittadina di Schio, provincia di Vicenza, nel Veneto. Entrambi i nonni erano uomini che amavano la famiglia e si dedicavano al lavoro; soprattutto a quello di costruire marciapiedi in cemento, negli anni '70 e '80, lungo le vie della municipality di Manningham.

Nel ruolo di direttore della ASL Real Estate, Guido Bonanni, ha una vera passione per la sua agenzia immobiliare, che va ben oltre alla semplice stipulazione di un contratto di vendita o acquisto di case. CHEF'S REPORT Since returning from my study trip to the Veneto region of Italy last year I have tried to incorporate the skills I acquired into the Club's menus and pass on my what I learnt to the other chefs.

Some of the skills I brought home include perfecting the way we cook Baccala alla Vicentina and the importance of house made products. As a result of this we have now invested in an automatic pasta machine and a sausage making machine. We now make our own pasta, sausages and bread for the Bistro and functions.

This year the kitchen team has enjoyed the opportunity of trying a lot of new things with special functions, dinners and in particular the Wine Nights. These special nights and functions give all the chefs the opportunity to learn more and showcase their skills.

I have also started a Staff Development Program that allows all chefs to cross over from bistro to functions and Saturday night Dinner Dances. This gives them all a chance to learn all areas

of the kitchen, for example pans to grill to larder. This has been really well accepted by all Chefs as it improves their skills and builds their confidence.

We have now a new Chef, Andrea who join us from Italy. I was fortunate to work with him last year whilst in Italy. I am sure he will be a great addition to the kitchen team. Andrea will bring his skills and knowledge of authentic Veneto cuisine as well as learn more about the Veneto Club and Australia.

I wish to thank all the kitchen staff especially Charles and Romina (Sous Chefs) for their on-going support and dedication to the Veneto Club.

"MANGIARE PER VIVERE E NON VIVERE PER MANGIARE" - ITALIAN PROVERB. TRANSLATION: EAT TO LIVE AND NOT LIVE TO EAT." Returning home after 5 years living & working in Italy, I am very grateful with the opportunity the Veneto Club has given me to lead the Food & Beverage department.

I work within the Italian culture that I love, doing what I know best improving the standard of Food & Beverage offering. In saying this, I am very proud to report on an evidently successful year.

Tough economic conditions have seen many hospitality businesses suffer; therefore it is a testament to the dedication of our team that profitability has steadily grown, with year on year growth of 9% in food sales and 6% in beverage sales. This increase is in part due to a rise in bistro walk-in trade, repeat bookings, new & exciting events and general word-of-mouth. You only have to visit to experience the "buzz".

Our major focus areas include• Increasing member & patron satisfaction; • Streamline processes to improve efficiencies; • Management leadership, support & training for staff; • Improve upon existing functions & events; • Introduce new functions & events to attract new markets; • Improving the hospitality experience through quality of Food & Beverage offering, service standards, general atmosphere & value-for-money; Examples of innovation are themed Saturday Night Dinner Dances that have seen us seise at "Latin Night", rock 'n' roll to "Great Classic Hits" and dress in masquerade to "Carnevale di Venezia". With special entertainment, 'aperitivi' and decoration, staff & patrons alike get into the spirit, ensuring a fun & entertaining night out for all!

Our sell out Wine Dinners have also been a huge success allowing both kitchen & wait staff the opportunity to showcase their skills in a more formal & intimate setting. Cocktails & canapes followed by a delicious four course dinner paired with fine wines & commentary by guest wine makers set the scene for a truly memorable experience. Thank you to Vinea Marson, Pizzini Wines & Brown Brothers for their support.

Other areas within the Club's grounds have been capitalised on including the picturesque location playing host to the inaugural "BARACCA on the banks of the Yarra", a wonderful day of live music, good food & beverage together with Italian tradition. Visitors experienced traditional tomato 'passata' sauce making and fresh pasta making classes; others strolled, tasted and purchased from the market stalls; whilst others sat back and enjoyed the laid back live music. The inaugural 'BARACCA on the banks of the Yarra' was a great success and we are planning for the next to be even big & better!

Finally we have been focused in the bistro on providing quality food produce and depth in our wine list, whilst delivering the right balance between true "Veneto", "inspired" and "comfort" meals to our members & local community. This dedication was acknowledged at the 2011 Clubs Victoria Chef's Table Awards night where Head Chef David Gauci & Sous Chef Charles Roussety achieved Silver Winner behind Gold Winner Melbourne Cricket Club, and ahead of Bronze Winner RACV City Club. The Food & Beverage team was also acknowledged by winning the category award for Best Presentation & Service. Other successes in the bistro have seen specialty food nights, including freshly shucked Oysters & Bubbles; Polenta & Baccala and the always exciting Chef's Suggestions board!

Finally, we are only as strong as the people that surround us. I would therefore like to thank the kitchen team lead by David, in particular Charles & Romina; the functions/ events team, comprising Jesika, Fabio & Giulia; and our front-of-house supervisors Susie, Lisa, Kostas & Natalie.

Our Food & Beverage team has proudly maintained the Club's position as a premier dining destination and is excited about its future.

REPORT Philosophy - what is it? Why is it necessary?

I am often asked why football clubs need a philosophy. "Isn't it enough that our teams win consistently ?" - is a question asked by parents and players alike and I can understand their reasoning. As long as the team and club is successful why would you worry about 'philosophy'?

I will try to explain why it is imperative to have a philosophy and the problems that not having one would create.

Recently I watched the Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and Chelsea which was unexpectedly won by Chelsea. Here there were two teams playing at the ultimate level, both with vastly different philosophies. After watching Barcelona play I am sure its philosophy is clear to their players and coaches alike and it did not matter that they were playing in such a huge semi final- they would not change their philosophy on how they wanted to play whatever the consequences.

On the other hand the winning team , in my opinion, did not have a clear philosophy on how they wanted to play but were content to do whatever was needed to get the result and history will tell us that Chelsea beat the great Barcelona team that has taken all before it. Since that game Pep Guardiola has resigned and his successor will be the assistant who I would presume is well versed in the 'Barcelona Philosophy'. It is because of this philosophy that the whole world is marvelling at the football that this team brings us and has also brought the club all it can win in club football over the last few seasons.

At Bulleen Lions we too must have a definite philosophy that the club abides by. When our teams play they must be recognisable as 'Bulleen teams ' as they all follow the club's philosophy starting at small sided football and ending at senior football. This is not an easy goal to achieve.

Coaches need to be employed that are open to the direction that we are taking and have the skill and ability to follow our methods and curriculum.

External players need to be able to fit into our models before we take them on board as players. I am happy to report that all our junior coaches have embraced our philosophy and are enjoying success as a result. Our senior coach John Waddell, needs to be congratulated in continuing with the clubs' philosophy in playing style and methodologies with our senior men. I am sure he feels strongly about our "brand" of football that we have implemented and I am sure the results will follow. The development of senior players from our own junior ranks is something we should all be proud of as it is scarcely seen in Victorian football. I would also like to thank Jim Peios and Damiano Febbrarino who have supported me in the implementation of the club philosophy and ensuring The "Bulleen brand" is nurtured and maintained. It is a massive commitment we all make to achieve our goals however it should fill us with extreme pride at the end of the journey-I am sure Pep Guardiola is extremely proud of what he and his background staff have achieved in the last 4 years.

In closing I would like to wish all our teams the best of luck for this year and the future and hope that the club's philosophy will bring us the success and enjoyment that our great game can bring and that the Club deserves. I would like to thank Joe Midolo for his hard work as Senior Operations Manager and the support of the FC Bulleen Lions subcommittee members and staff for all their tireless devotion to the cause.

SMALL SIDED FOOTBALL The popularity of the FC Bulleen Lions Small Sided Football (SSF) program continues to flourish with unprecedented demand and an ever increasing waiting list. In season 2012 we have over 450 registered SSF players which include children aged from 5 to 11 years old. The total number of girls participating continues to climb and for the first time ever we have a Girls only team competing in the Ull Girls league.

The SSF program is divided into over 40 teams with the vast majority of coaches being parent volunteers and supplemented by some very capable and experienced career coaches . All coaches are educated with a minimum Grassroots Coaching accreditation and have participated in practical coaching workshops undertaken by the SSF Director. The SSF program is prepared, implemented and administered by the SSF Director with the endorsement of the Technical Director of Football (TDF). This ensures a unified approach across all our SSF community that culminates in a structured progression of players throughout the SSF age groups. The SSF Director is supported by age specific coordinators to help with the administration and logistics of running such a large program. We also benefit from the dedication and passion of our members who provide support via olunteering as team managers, assistant coaches, field marshals, etc.

In season 2012 we have expanded our support structure to include an Assistant SSF Director and Game Day coordinator to enable us to improve the quality of the program and provide ongoing mentoring for our coaches. We have also invested in our infrastructure to provide more equipment that enhances the learning experience for our kids.

Ability Assessments continue to been implemented across the Under 9 and above age groups. These have been well received by the community apart from the odd complaint by parents of having their children damage furniture whilst they practice their juggling inside their homes in preparation for the Ability Assessments.

FC Bulleen Lions provides a progressive SSF package that is well received and regarded across the greater football community. We encourage interested football lovers to come watch our kids strut their stuff on a Saturday morning - who knows we might be unearthing the next Lionel Messil The future of SSF at FC Bulleen Lions is secure.

A huge year at FC Bulleen Lions for our Junior Boys program.

2011 was a year of record numbers, record teams and great results.

After the rave reviews we again ran our tour of Bassano, Italy which is a highlight of the U16 year for the boys.

Our boys did a fantastic job both on and off the field representing our Club with distinction and great sportsmanship. We had varying results throughout our program.

BASSANO 2011 The Bassano trip 2011 was an experience of a lifetime. As we listened with devotion to the boys that had went the year before us, we realized how big these 2 weeks actually were. After months of preparations, the time had come and we were off to Italy before we knew it.

Training began almost immediately as we arrived and this tested us physically. It was a privilege to be trained by quality coaches with great personalities and sense of humour such as Stefano Esposito and Maurizio Viscidi who helped us improve so much both individually and as a team, in such a short period of time. There was so much information given to us even about little things such as body positioning and attitudes on and off the pitch, meant we had to act like a sponge and soak it all up.

We were quite successful in the matches that we played too.

Coming off unbeaten in 5 games. However, the main focus was learning new things that would later assist us in becoming better players in the future. I would like to thank everyone who helped make the trip a one to remember and I wish all the best for this year's under 16's.

At the airport with the team, we were all excited to jump on the plane and head off to one of the great destinations of football, Italy.

Even though it was a 22 hour flight, we finally made it and were ready to start our intense training and adventure. We pretty much had a game the next day and coming off with a 2-2 draw with Bassano FC, we were quite happy because of our jet lag. That was 1 of 5 games we played during our time in Italy. We played Cittadella (1-0 win), Montebelluna (3-0 win), Padova (1-1 draw) and Giorgione (2-1 win). I honestly think the best game for us was the Giorgione game because it was our only night game under the lights and the atmosphere was perfect. We made a few trips all around It* such as Venice and Padova. Our hotel was magnificent, our diet consisted of what everyday footballers would eat before and after training/match. The level of training was gold class, we had Stefano who was the head Coach of the Giorgione senior team and we had Maurizio the U/20 Italian youth coach. They both had great ideas of the game and taught us very well and I think we all took away something from this trip and have improved on it. The group as a whole was very well behaved and we shared a strong bond which we still carry today. It was a very memorable trip and we are all very grateful to Serge and all the coaching staff from Bulleen for their trust in us and making this trip possible. I also would like to thank Dallila for all the hard work and preparation she put in and also all the parents for all their support. I'd like to wish the group heading off to Bassano this year the best of luck and to cherish the moment and to take as much as you can out of it. This is a memory, I'm sure us boys will never forget.

SENIOR FOOTBALL 2012 again sees change within the coaching panel and players and with change comes a period of adjustment.

A big thank you to all coaches, player and volunteers who have left us especially to Frank DeAngelis who after many years at FC Bulleen has taken a well earned rest.

The senior coaching group comprising John Waddell, James Robinson, Fab Soncin and Sergio Sabbadini, is working cohesively to position the Senior team for a positive end of season result.

Thank you to all the FC Bulleen Lions community for its continuous support throughout the year.

Eight of our senior squad and all of our U21's have successfully come through our junior ranks.

WOMEN'S FOOTBALL Women's Football at FC Bulleen Lions (FCBL) is experiencing very exciting times. The Women's (Girls/Women) Football department achieved another year of on field success in the 2011 season winning four Championships and one Runners Up flag. This success was further reflected in FCBL having an unprecedented number of junior girls selected for the Victorian Champions League competition.

FC Bulleen Lions Women (FCBLW) is quickly developing a reputation. Once Women's Football's best kept secret, we can no longer fly under the radar. FCBLW's reputation for playing quality football and "looking after its players" is setting new bench marks in women's football in Victoria.

FCBLW is now made up of three Senior Women's Teams, four junior Girl's Teams and two U11 Girls' teams participating in Small Sided Football (SSF). Such a strong structure provides for a long sustainable future in Women's Football.

The Senior Women's team have been promoted to State League Division 1 this season and with Head Coach Adrian Drury at the helm again we are confident of having another good year.

Adrian is a highly credentialed (UEFA B Badge) coach who brings football experience from England, America and Europe to Women's football at FCBL. The Junior Girls' teams will also continue to benefit from great facilities and great coaching from our talented group of 'experienced/accredited coaches whose focus is player development in a fun and healthy social environment.

There is great optimism about the long term success of Women's Football at FCBL because of the quality of young players coming through, the facilities, the quality/accredited coaches and the continual support of the Football and Veneto Club Committees.

Runners up League 1 - U11/U12 Five-a-side 2011

FIV -A-SIDE 2011 was a fantastic year for the Veneto Club Five-a-side Competition.

Team entries rose from 70 in 2010 to a record 96 in 2011 clearly indicating that there is strong demand for a professionally run tournament. The reputation of, and hence demand, this competition is a credit to the Veneto Club facilities and the quality of its administration on & off the courts.

The Five-a-side competition caters for a broad spectrum of the community with teams ranging in age from U7/U8 right through to Open Men and Women.

Five-a-side runs from early October for 10 weeks until mid December. It runs three nights a week - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - on the Senior Synthetic Pitch but with growing demand we may need to consider running four nights this year.

The Veneto Club looks forward to hosting this event again this year and look forward to your patronage.

SPORTS' REPORT Dear Members, Another busy and eventful year has passed us by. All the sporting areas of the Club have kept us extremely busy and there have been many highlights to talk about.

FC Bulleen Lions had a very successful 2011 and signs are great for 2012. The junior and small sided football ranks at FC Bulleen Lions remain strong with all teams making a great start to the 2012 season. The kiosk and barbecue facilities that are operated on the weekends and Monday night have become a consistent performer and remain an important asset for the club.

Get out there and see Wally behind the barbecue and support the club and be sure to try one of "Wally's Heart Stoppers" - it does just that! FC Bulleen Lions held its inaugural Carnival Family Day involving amusement rides and incorporated team jumper presentations, this day was a roaring success and plans are to make it an even bigger and better event next year.

Bocce playing numbers are up with a strong consistent playing group frequenting the Wednesday nights and Thursday lunch time get togethers. We have had local schools using the Bocce courts consistently through 2011 and again are booked right through 2012. After a marketing campaign aimed at corporate groups using the Bocce courts for their Christmas parties we again had an influx of bookings. Corporate groups have used Bocce as an activity for their staff to be involved in before enjoying the Club's bistro and function facilities for drinks and dinner.

Local primary schools have held their sports days at the Club.

These days include sporting activities including Bocce and Football accompanied by an Italian style lunch. A massive thank you and acknowledgment to all the volunteers that help me run these events, I could not do them without you.

The Squash and Tennis Pennant teams had a mixed bag of results in 2011. Veneto Golf Club has continued their monthly competitions and after game meals at the Club. Rosanna Golf Club has also got on board with the Veneto Club and is offering Veneto Club members the chance to play at Rosanna Golf Club on selected days.

The Veneto Club has again been involved in hosting many national and statewide sporting competitions including the Police and Emergency Services Games, where we hosted the Football tournament. The Special Olympics organization held their statewide Bocce tournament. The Nike Manchester Cup Football Tournament Asia Pacific Finals were once again held at the Veneto Club. This created a lot of interest and brought lots of positive publicity for the Veneto Club. Melbourne Victory Women's Team played four of their games at David Barro Stadium attracting great crowds to all their matches.

We have had some amazing events throughout 2011 and 2012 and it has been hectic but enjoyable. I look forward to the challenges ahead in 2012 and beyond.

The Committee of the Veneto Club Ciclismo group is pleased to report on the progress of the Cycling group.

This report discusses the status of the cycling group, events and outlook for the coming year.

1. Status The Veneto Cycling group has formally applied for affiliation with Cycling Australia. The application was welcomed by Cycling Australia. The application has been approved in principal by Cycling Australia subject to constitutional matters which will be addressed by the Veneto Club. An affiliation with Cycling Australia would provide for registration and licensing to participate in national and international cycling events as well as providing a level of insurance when riding as a group on a group outing.

4. In the meantime The members of the Italo Australia Cycling Club meet on Sunday mornings at Fresherman Cafe Carlton at 7:30a.m and ride various courses around Melbourne up to 70km in length, The ride is of a moderate standard in a relaxed atmosphere.

People interested in the Veneto Cycling Group can experience how the 'Italo boys' do it. Note that this is at the individuals own risk, hence the importance for membership and affiliation with Cycling Australia.

3. Sponsors for the Cycling group A design has been finalized for the cycling 'kit'. The design features the Veneto Lion as its principal logo and is a very unique and attractive style. The colours are closely associated with the colours of the Veneto Club and the layout has been designed to accommodate the logo's of potential sponsors.

With the finalization of the design, the next step is to obtain sponsorship to firstly produce the clothing and to provide the seed funding to kick start the group. Sponsors will be given space on the cycling jersey and knicks for their logos, etc. If anyone is interested in advertising on the cycling jersey or knicks please contact Anthony.

GOLF REPORT Our Golf club is now in its 8th year and still drawing new members from the greater community. Current membership stands at 39 men and 6 ladies and the Golf Club is always encouraging new golfers to come along and play as guests during any of the scheduled Sunday games throughout the year. If you are interested in playing a round with the Veneto Golf Club please notify any of the committee members listed below at least 7 days prior to the game. Subsequently, if you wish to become a member but have no official handicap the club will establish your handicap from the first 3 rounds played. Note however, the handicap is unofficial and only valid for the Veneto Club Golf.

With the increasing demand to play more golf the Club elected to introduce 4 extra Sunday games to the 2012 golf calendar and participation thus far is strong. Three new courses where added to this year's schedule: Tirhatuan in Rowville, Goonawarra in Sunbury and Albert Park which should add variety and prove challenging for our members.

Whether our members are seasoned golfers or just beginners, the club has a place for them in the handicap scale. This year we recognised that a third dMsion grade was required for the 2012 golf format.

The new group grading for A division is 0-20, B division 21-26, and C division 27-32 for men and to 36 for ladies.

As with every round played, prizes for First and Runner Up are awarded for each of the 3 divisions and it's with great pleasure that the Golf Club recognises the support of its loyal Sponsors who make all this possible.

Golf "Melbourne Cup Week End" away The 2011 Golf week-end away was a memorable event. We had 4 days of perfect weather at Moama with two games played at the famous Rich River Country Club.

The golf format was 4 Ball best Ball, where teams of 4 players competed against other teams. The format was a great success mixing teams of low and high handicappers together which gave everyone a chance to be competitive and vie for the prizes on offer.

Accommodation was at The Moama Comfort Inn which also provided Tennis Courts, swimming pool and a great Rotunda where we could all socialize and watch the native birds and the occasional reptile slither past.

In Memoriam The club unfortunately lost 2 of its members to the "Prestigious Club in the Sky" and we extend our deepest sympathies to the Corsi and Wight families for their losses. Both Ron Corsi and Sean Wight will be sadly missed.

Committee 2012 The 2011 Golf committee stood unopposed at the 2012 Annual General Meeting, and should be congratulated for its dedication and efforts over the past twelve months.

Eating healthy food elevates your metabolism and the longer you go without eating the lower your metabolism will be and the fewer the calories you'll burn throughout the day. I can almost guarantee if someone is carrying extra fat they're skipping breakfast.

3. EATING CHAOTICALLY AND FAST It takes about 20 minutes for a signal to make its way from the gut to the brain and say "I'm satisfied, you can stop eating."

People carrying extra body fat tend to eat really fast and bypass this satiety signal.

4. EATING MOSTLY PROCESSED FOODS The healthiest eaters, no matter paleo, vegan or whatever nutritional beliefs they follow build a diet around whole plant foods. The unhealthiest eaters, no matter paleo or vegan, build a diet around processed foods. Processed foods are making the western world fat and unhealthy.

5. DRINKING CALORIES It's far easier to drink a whole lot of calories than to eat them.

No boost drinks are not healthy and neither are Orange juice, energy drinks, soft drinks and milkshakes. Also they don't regulate the appetite very well and are poor sources of nutrition.

6. MINIMAL SLEEP TIME Lack of sleep results in prefrontal dysfunction, meaning the part of your brain (the Prefrontal Cortex) responsible for willpower and self-control is not working efficiently. So, if you skip out on sleep time say bye-bye willpower the next day and hello donuts or Nutri-Grain (same thing)

7. USING FOOD TO MANAGE FEELINGS I regularly see overweight clients who snack and drink calorie loaded drinks all day. For these people ifs not willpower that needs to be addressed but frequently boredom and having a daily fulfilling purpose. Wow, this is a big realization for many people!

Before worrying about how many calories are in a Banana or whether or not to go organic have a think about: How is your career? How is your family life? Are you following your passions? If these areas of life suffer, food might serve as a temporary escape.

CLAY TARGET SHOOTERS' REPORT The Clay Target Shooters have had an eventful year.

We would like to once again invite all our members and any new members to participate in our shooting which is held on the third Sunday of each month at Werribee Gun Club, Ballan Road, Werribee.

At these monthly events we run shooting competitions with other members throughout Victoria who participate, whereby the winner is presented with a trophy, followed by a barbecue luncheon.

Our Christmas shoot was held in the third week of December which is our largest competition throughout the year.

In June, the Veneto Club will be sponsoring our mid year competition, so please do not forget to attend.

SQUASH REPORT Squash at the Veneto Club has recently had a much needed face lift. A fresh coat of paint and the courts look amazing, Last season was a winner with Richard Lyons (Captain) and his team with Paul DeLutis, Osca Morandini, Tom Peluso and 011ie Guglielmi won the Pennant Award in Grade D-2. Congratulations —winners are grinners.

The other teams seem to have struggled a little, finishing fourth and fifth, respectively in their Grades of C-2 and D-1.

The best and fairest players were for 2011 were: -C-2 Adrian Gasser -D-2 011ie Guglielmi and Osca Morandini (a draw) -D-1 Mitch Williamson Congratulations and well deserved.

The Veneto Club Squash Championship, was played and hard fought during the year with the eventual winner Adrian Gasser (third consecutive year) and Richard Smaldino (Runner up).

In an effort to increase and promote interest in squash the subcommittee is looking at providing our members with 'squash classes'. These classes will give the young and the not so young both male and female the opportunity to learn, to improve and/ or to compete in the sport at any level. These classes will be provided by a former world ranking player.

From the beginning of June any member wanting to have fun and keep fit by playing squash at a social level will be able to hire squash rackets and balls from the gym. Racket ball equipment will also be available soon.

TENNIS REPORT Dear Members and Friends It is with great honour that I have the chance to say thank you to all the tennis members, families and their friends. We do encourage members to use the courts socially and to invite guests for a game and also use the facilities that our great Club provides. It is important for members to remember this is our Club and therefore, the more we put in, the more we get out. We trust that members abide by the rules to ensure that every one gets a fair go.

Our current tennis membership is as follows: Family Members: 43 Single: 57 Life Members: 4

The Section 4 Veterans Team 1 comprised of Dino Bettiol, Vince DiGrazia, Theo Eversteyn, Tony Gallichio, Robert Conte, Brian Baylie and Peter Moran.

Section 4 Veterans Team 2 is Anthony Carafa, Alfredo Costanzo, Chris Harding, Tony Marchesian, Gary McCarney, and Umberto Masci.

Section 11 Veterans is Dennis Basile, Louis Crema, Anthony Laino, Joe Pinto, Rohan Russell and Ennio Valsorda.

As the competition is approaching the end of the Autumn Season, there will be two teams competing in the Finals. To all our competitors the Spring Season 2012 commences on Tuesday 7th August 2012.

LADIES' COMPETITION The tennis section of the Veneto Club is reasonably active throughout the year. The six courts always see plenty of action in the way of Coaching, Social games and Competition.

MEN'S COMPETITION The Veneto Tennis is represented by our Tuesday night competition which in the Spring Season of 2011 the club had one team playing in Section 1 , 1 team in Section 5. There were three teams playing in the Veteran's Division in two teams Sections 4, 1 team in section 12.

In our Spring season of 2011 only two teams made the Preliminary Finals but unfortunately were unsuccessful.

The new Season of Autumn 2012 which commenced on Tuesday 7th February is represented as follows. In the Open Section 1 by, Daniel Auld, Maurice Bruni, David DeStefanis, Anthony Terzo and the team Leader Captain Anthony Zannoni.

A new team was formed in the Open Section 9. Raymond Barro, Romeo Crema, Adrian DeStefanis, Mark DeStefanis, Daniel lera, Philip McCrone, and the Fearless Captain Phillip Price, who has shown remarkable qualities in Leadership and Direction as his first year as Commander.

The Section 5 of last season was transferred to Section 3 Veteran's. They are represented by Mario Basso, Donato D'Augello, Nick Longo, Angelo Bafunno, Barry Litchfield, Barry Tempest and Richard Wright.

The Veneto Tennis has Wednesday Night Competition playing in Section 3, the members are Jacqui Kowalewski. Yolanda Ciufetelli, Barbara Bandiera, Natasha Stocco, Stella Stangherlin.

LADI AUXILIARY REPORT E' passato un'altro anno e come sempre siamo stati molto attivi con le nostre feste ed anche dare l'assistenza alle attivita' del Veneto Club per tutti i soci, amid e simpatizzanti.

Quest'anno abbiamo incominciato con it famoso pranzo 'Christmas in July' con menu' tradizionale e saporito. E poi anche ii pranzo di natale a Dicembre con le lotterie di panettoni e regali.

In ottobre abbiamo organizzato it pranzo per promuovere tl charity del Breast Cancer. Era una bella festa ben partecipata dalle nostre donne ed una giornata ed anche informativa grazie alle ospiti del Pink Ribbon Foundation.

Per iniziale l'anno nuovo c'e' stato fatto la 'Porchetta Day' alla Baracca durante Australia Day con partecipazione di famiglie e soci. A marzo it pranzo di Pasqua e' stato un gran successo e quest'anno le colombe erano molto richieste da tutti! Una nostra tradizione importante annuale di nuovo seguita era di donare al 'Royal Children's Hospital Appeal' e per questo abbiamo organizzato una lotteria di van cesti pieni di uova e regali di pasqua con vendita di biglietti ogni domenica sera al famoso buffet in Sala Venezia epoi al pranzo di Venerdi' Santo nel Bistro.

Ai pranzi di febbraio e marzo, cosi come a quello di Pasqua, abbiamo avuto molte piu persone del solito, sia sod che simpatizzanti. E tutti sono rimasti molto soddisfatti per l'organizzazione, l'accoglienza, la qualita del cibo, it ballo, l'atmosfera amichevole e festosa. Molte persone hanno voluto anche iscriversi subito al nostro Circolo.

Per it pranzo in onore delle mamme (Mother's Day) abbiamo avuto l'onore di ospitare un folto gruppo di piemontesi, e un gruppo di anziani del Community Centre che apprezza la nostra ospitalita. II pranzo mensile ha luogo con regolarita e facciamo del nostro meglio per dare un servizio gradito a tutte le persone che vi partecipano.

Nei giorni 24 e 25 aprile un gruppo di soci ha effettuato una piacevole gita per la raccolta di castagne. II proprietario dell'azienda agricola ci ha preparato una grande quantity di caldarroste. Sono state giornate di svago per i gitanti, con picnic e divertimenti all'aperto, come balli e canti corali. Lungo

it percorso sono stati ammirati i paesaggi incantevoli che offre l'autunno, in particolare nella zona di Bright, dove i boschi hanno una sorprendente variety di colori ed offrono una veduta suggestiva. Sono state due giornate memorabili.

Speriamo di organizzare, nei prossimi mesi, delle attivita interessanti per i nostri soci, in modo da tenere unito e attivo it gruppo, con quello spirito di famiglia che lo ha sempre caratterizzato ed e una qualita importante che fa onore al nostro Circolo Anziani del Veneto Club.

Ringrazio i membri del Comitato per it lavoro che svolgono sempre con tanta dedizione ed entusiasmo. Ringrazio la direzione del Veneto Club per offrirci ospitalita e soddisfare con premura e cordiality le nostre richieste.

Eventi in programma: giovedi 6 settembre pranzo per la festa del papa, giovedi 13 dicembre pranzo natalizio. Si ricorda anche che ogni primo giovedi del mese i sod e simpatizzanti si incontrano nella Sala Venezia per il pranzo mensile, con menu squisito, musica e ballo. Tutti benvenuti. Dopo le vacanze estive i pranzi riprenderanno it 1° giovedi di febbraio 2013.

March Annual Comunita Montana Picnic

COMUNITA MONTANA dei 7 COMUNI Domenica 3 luglio con l'Assenblea Generale dei sod, al Veneto Club, incomincia l'anno 2011-2012, molti sod hanno partecipato a questa riunione per l'elezioni del nuovo comitato.

Con la scusa del freddo, domenica 7 agosto 2pm, nella sala della chiesa di Santa Brigida abbiamo passato un buon pomerigio assieme con pane e sopressa, grostoli e yin brute, lotteria e con molta allegria.

Al Pranzo Annuale 23 ottobre 2011, sala Venezia Veneto Club, a quanto sembra tutti hanno avuto l'opportunitas di divertirsi con bella musica e ballando.

Domenica 20 novembre mezzogiorno un'altra occasione per riunire i soci e amid alla Baracca del Veneto Club, con la promessa di tanta polenta e formaggio Asiago, cosi tutti assieme cantando abbiamo passato un indimenticabile pomerigio.

A febbraio, weekend 18-19-2012 gita a Harrietville per partecipare alla festa di beneficenza pro Camp Quality, questa probabilmente sara l'ultima festa organizzata a Harrietville, ma si potrebbe organizzare in un differente luogo, con la stessa intenzione!!!

Sabato 3 marzo abbiamo avuto 25 ospiti dall'Altopiano, Don Roberto Bonomo e Don Lino Prearo. Domenica 4 marzo un pranzo al Veneto Club per dare il benvenuto agli ospiti con la partecipazione di un bel numero di paesani e amici, una calorosa accoglienza da tutti, E stata una bellissima festa.

Mercoledi 7 marzo gita della baia, da Queenscliffe-Sorrento e Dromana per pranzo da Ray Stella, il tempo era bello e tutti si sono divertiti.

Venerdi'9 marzo gita a Bendigo diretti alla Cattedrale del Sacro Cuore, Don Roberto e Don Lino hanno celebrato la Santa Messa.

Domenica 11 marzo Picnic Annuale alla Baracca con i nostri piatti tradizionali e tanta allegria.

Lunedi 9 aprile 2pm ci siamo trovati assieme per la bicchierata di Pasquetta al Veneto Club pid di 110 soci hanno partecipato, anche se fuori pioveva a dirotto, era motto freddo.

Grazie infinite al Comitato per il vostro aiuto e tutti coloro the hanno partecipato alle nostre attivita. Ringrazimenti vanno al comitato e al personale del Veneto Club per lo loro ospitalita e assistenza.

ASSOCIAZIONE PADOVANI nel MONDO Anzitutto un caloroso "grazie" ai nostri sod e ai lori amici per il continuo supporto che danno alla nostra Associazione che sta diventando sempre piir forte. Un altro anno a gia passato dall'ultima edizione della Relazione Annuale del Veneto Club e con orgoglio diamo tl nostro rapporto sui dodici mesi trascorsi.

Vi sono state vane occasioni per radunare i nostri socie e amici padovani e trascorrere spensierate ore assieme con entusiasmo e gratitudine. II nostro calendario sociale a iniziato a luglio 2011 con l'assemblea generale nella Sala Venezia del Veneto Club. E' stato servito un pranzo gratuito, a cui ha fatto seguito la lettura dei rapporti ufficiali e l'elezione del nuovo Comitato Direttivo.

Un grazie particolare ai signori Umberto e Beverley Marcon, a Liberio e Palmina Marini e a Bruno Bergamin, che dopo tanti anni nel Comitato si sono ritirati. II nuovo Comitato e formato da: Luigi Bacchin presidente, Giuseppe Trentin vicepresidente, Anna Simion tesoriere, Claudia Borella vicetesoriere, Katia Bacchin segretaria, Lucia Zandegir assistente segretaria: consiglieri: Franco Borella, Luigi Marchetti, Alessandro Simion, Antonio Zandegir e Maria Bianco.

In agosto abbiamo avuto un gustoso pranzo, preparato e servito dal Comitato nella saletta della parrocchia Holy Spirit. In ottobre era in programma un bar-b-q gratuito per i sod alla "Baracca" del Veneto Club ma all'ultimo momento, a causa della pioggia, abbiamo dovuto riunirci nella saletta dove abbiamo comunque trascorso qualche ora in lieta compagnia.

Molto interessante a stata la gita del Melbourne Cup week-end: siamo andati a Talbingo per visitare la "Tumut 3 Power Station" la piir grande stazione idroelettrica del gigantesco progetto della Snowy Mountain Hydro-Electric Scheme, poi a Mt. Kosciusko, Cooma, e per concludere a Canberra con la visita alla Parliament House ed il War Memorial.

Non 6 mancato tl nostro picnic di Natale alla "Baracca", con la partecipazione di Babbo Natale che ha portato le caramelle ai piccoli e grandi. E' stato incorraggiante vedere la partecipazione dei piu giovani con i lori figli. Ancora un altro bar-b-q e stato organizzato a febbraio 2012 per il Carnevale con crostoli e frittole. In aprile ci siamo di nuovo incontrati nella saletta con piena partecipazione, per un pranzo gratuito per i nostri soci. Abbiamo partecipato alla Sagra di San Marco il 25 aprile, e verso la fine di maggio siamo stati ad Adelaide per il convegno nazionale dei padovani.

I due massimi appuntamenti di questi mesi sono: domenica 17 giugno festa di Sant'Antonio, nostro patrono, con pranzo al Veneto Club; e domenica 15 luglio assemblea generale annuale (AGM) sempre al Veneto Club con pranzo gratuito.

I nostri incontri ci danno tanta soddifazione perche vediamo che la partecipazione e molto alta, sia quando c'e il sole che con la pioggia. Abbiamo proprio dei leali soci. Quando a volte it lavoro sembra un po' faticoso, vederii chiacchierare, ridere, cantare, ci allieta it cuore. Sappiamo che ii nostro programma a meritevole e apprezzato. In piu, grazie alla dedizione del Comitato direttivo e del soci, abbiamo potuto anche quest'anno ricavare le somme per continuare con le donazioni caritevoli.

In conclusione, grazie a voi sod, al nostro instancabile Comitato e alle loro famiglie, al Direttivo del Veneto Club per l'ospitalita e la cordiale assistenza.

Veneto Club - Relazione Annuale 2012

ASSOCIAZIONE TREVISANI nel MONDO L'Associazione Trevisani nel Mondo ha organizzato diverse attivita nei primi mesi del 2012. Tra tutte, quelle che hanno registrato tl maggior successo sono state l'assemblea generale e it picnic "alla Baracca" con un numero sempre crescente di soci e simpatizzanti. La castagnata in maggio al Freccia Azzurra Club e stato uno degli appuntamenti "classici" dell' associazione.

II 2011 6 stato dominato dall'incontro di tanti trevisani da tube le parti d'Australia e una cinquantina di ospiti dalla "Marca Gioiosa".

II raduno peril IX Convegno Nazionale ha avuto luogo a Dimbulah e Mareeba net Nord Queensland. Nei giorni 16, 17, 18 settembre oltre 1.000 trevisani si sono incontrati nei paesi della canna da zucchero per uno scambio di idee e pe programmare it futuro.

Da Melbourne un centinaio di trevisani ha preso parte all'incontro e poi ha trascorso una settimana visitando quella parte bellissima dell'Australia. Tutte le iniziative che tl Comitato direttivo ha organizzato, sempre ben guidato dal presidente Andrea Bettio, hanno avuto un buon successo.

L'Associazione Trevisani net 2011 ha dato prova di generosita verso persone bisognose ed enti di beneficenza. Le donazioni per aiutare chi 6 nella necessity hanno portato a registrare, nel bilancio finanziario di fine anno, un deficit invece che un profitto... Ma in un mondo sempre piu egoista e bello constatare che ci sono persone che hanno a cuore non solo it proprio interesse ed H divertimento, ma anche e soprattutto l'aiuto verso chi 6 nel bisogno.

Per it futuro ancora una volta it Comitato direttivo A.T.M. ha organizzato i soliti incontri, tra i quali l'ormai tradizionale fine settimana in luglio a Myrtleford in occasione della "serata trevigiana" nella terra dell'ex tabacco. Sono anche in programma: un pranzo a Werribee domenica 8 luglio; la Messa all'Assisi Centre seguita dal pranzo al Veneto Club domenica 26 agosto per festeggiare tl santo patrono San Pio X; it pranzo di domenica 18 novembre al Veneto Club per festeggiare it 39.mo anniversario della fondazione A.T.M. che conludera gli eventi del 2012. E' stata inoltre organizzata per la meta di settembre una gita di 8 giorni che portera i partecipanti a visitare Mildura, Renmark, Port Augusta, Whyalla, Adelaide, Mt. Gambier, Penota, H paese della santa Mary McKillop,Warrnambool, Apollo Bay. In conclusione, possiamo dirci soddisfatti per quello che si organizzato e riconoscenti ai soci per aver aderito al lavoro del Comitato direttivo partecipando sempre in buon numero a tube le manifestazioni. Fa anche piacere constatare che nonostante gli anni passino, tl numero dei soci rimane costante. Si spera che gente pi0 giovane si faccia avanti per ricoprire ruoli direttivi in seno all'associazione. Chi ha dato per anni un grande contributo e giusto che si ritiri soddisfatto di quello che ha dato, e lasci it posto ad elementi giovani.

Un grazie ai membri del Comitato direttivo e ai soci che partecipano alle iniziative e un grazie sincero al Veneto Club per l'ospitalita e la collaborazione.

ONESI nel MONDO L'Associazione Veronesi nel Mondo di Melbourne 6 nata con lo scopo di preservare i lagami e le radici culturali dei Veronesi e Veneti che vivono in Melbourne e che ancora si sentono profondamente legati alla propria terra d'origine. L'associazione attiva nonostante le difficolta legate all'eta, che pesa e si fa sentire su not emigranti di prima leva, e la scarsa presenza di giovani: ed anche nonostante la poca "attenzione" mostrata dalle nostre istituzioni italiane e venete.

Durante it 2011 la nostra associazione si e impegnata al massimo; ma purtroppo negli ultimi anni vi sono stati diversi lutti nelle famiglie di soci e amici, ed anche le malattie e l'avanzata eta sono fattori che rallentano la vita sociale. L'emigrazione veronese stata minima, non vi sono nuovi flussi di giovani che possano rafforzare I'associazione. Vanno dunque elogiati quei sod che, con la loro presenza, sono di incoraggiamento alle attivita promosse dal Comitato.

Grazie al Comitato Direttivo, che organizza vane manifestazioni ed event] culturali e sociali, le nostre tradizioni e la nostra cultura vengono mantenute vive e fiorenti. Tutte le attivita di cui la nostra associazione si occupa hanno un puro scopo sociale. Offrono un servizio senza nessun profitto e it ricavato delle manifestazioni ritorna a beneficio dei soci per le attivita che si organizzano durante I'anno.

Un ngraziamento al Veneto Club e ai presidenti di altre associazioni che ci hanno dato un valido supporto durante l'anno: in particolare al gruppo dei Padovani, dei Trevisan] e altri. Un ringraziamento anche ai simpatizzanti collaboratori che durante l'anno si attivano per aiutarci. Un grazie di vero cuore ai membri del Comitato direttivo ed ai sod.

Veneto Club - Relazione Annuale 2012

ENTE VICENTINI nel MONDO Quest'anno it Comitato ha deciso di dedicare ai bambini it picnic annuale della festa delle Palme, che ha avuto luogo domenica 1 aprile 2012 alla Baracca del Veneto Club. Vi ha partecipato un folto gruppo di circa 380 persone tra soci, simpatizzanti e molti bambini allegri che si sono divertiti con vari giochi come la rottura delle pignate, it palo della cuccagna e la ruota della fortuna. II coniglietto "pasquale" ha distribuito uova al cioccolato.

Le nostre prossime feste e gite in programme sono:

Grazie ai nostri assidui soci ed al nostro Comitatao, attivo e volonteroso, per it successo registrato in tune le feste, le gite e i picnic. Siamo ogni anno sempre piu all'avanguardia per attivita ricreative e sociali. Molti sod e amici amano incontrarsi per fare quattro chiacchere, gustare cibi nostrani e divertirsi.

All'assemblea generale del 12 febbraio 2012 eravamo in 250 nella sala Venezia. Non ci sono stati cambiamenti nel Comitato.

• Domenica 22 luglio pranzo annuale Sala Venezia del Veneto Club.

• Domenica 12 agosto pranzo nella Sala Venezia con Ia partecipazione del Coro Monte Pasubio di Schio, Vicenza.

• Domenica 2 dicembre gita per Ia raccofta di ciliegie.

• Mercoledi 26 dicembre bicchierata annuale di Santo Stefano, per i soci al Veneto Club.
