Dal Presidente del Club II nostro grande Club 6 sempre, con maggiore evidenza, it simbolo del successo di noi emigranti che abbiamo saputo trapiantare, in questa terra, le nostre tradizioni e la nostra cultura con onore e dignita. Noi, con it nostro Club, rappresentiamo degnamente l'emigrazione veneta a Melbourne. La nostra laboriosita, che ci ha sempre distinto, tutt'oggi viva in noi, e non saranno certamente i successi del passato a farci riposare sugli allori. Si puo sempre fare meglio e a dimostrazione di cio vi sono gli evidenti e continui rinnovamenti delle nostre strutture, le frenetiche attivita sociali e sportive e le numerose presenze di soci e simpatizzanti nella nostra sede. La pia repente innovazione a stata quella del completo rinnovo del Bar "Rialto" che oggi puo ottemperare alle sue funzioni con maggiore facilita. E in progetto it rinnovo dell'entrata principale della sede. Date le continue strutture aggiunte e le modifiche fatte, l'entrata principale non 6 pia pratica e in stile con it resto della costruzione. L'attuazione di questo progetto rendera alla nostra sede un accesso pin elegante e funzionale. Si potra arrivare in auto fino all' ingresso in una zona coperta. A fianco del bocciodromo si costruira un nuovo centro sportivo. Al momento siamo in attesa dell'approvazione del progetto peril permesso di costruzione. Le "Poker Machines" continuano a dare i loro lucrosi frutti al nostro club. Ben 92 ne sono state installate ed attirano un gran numero di giocatori. A queste ultime si a aggiunto it gioco del "Club Keno" che ha gia distribuito ai fortunati diverse migliaia di dollari. Nonostante la crisi economica che attualmente stiamo vivendo nel Victoria, cosi come nel resto del mondo, it nostro Club non risente di tale situazione e presenta un rendiconto finanziario attivissimo. I profitti del nostro Club, quest'anno, hanno raggiunto una cifra record superando tutti i precedenti bilanci finanziari. Per tale confortante situazione economica in cui it nostro Club si trova dobbiamo ringraziare Ia solidarieta dei soci che non mancano di frequentare numerosi

tutte le attivita sociali. Anche ai visitatori, che sono diventati molti e abituali, si deve Ia debita riconoscenza per it loro apporto finanziario. Grazie al la cooperazione ed al I ' affiatamento che esiste fra i membri del comitato direttivo, siamo riusciti a concludere un altro anno con un successo senza precedenti. lo ringrazio ognuno di loro perche con it loro instancabile lavoro e i loro preziosi suggerimenti e consigli, hanno reso it mio lavoro piiz facile e meno oneroso. Mi congratulo con le "Ladies Auxiliary" per i loro continui successi e le ringrazio di cuore per la loro costante dedizione al Club. Ringrazio tutti i volontari che instancabilmente dedicano it loro tempo alla gestione delle attivita del Club e alla manutenzione degli impianti. II loro contributo ĂŠ rilevante per l'economia del Club. Lo sport al nostro Club ogni anno da sempre maggiori soddisfazioni. Ancora una volta i Campionati Australiani di Bocce hanno scelto la sede del nostro Club. Per questo riconoscimento, che fa onore alla nostra associazione, voglio ringraziare it Sig. Tony Biancaccio, presidente dell'Associazione Bocciofili del Victoria, e it Sig. Remo Cher, presidente della Federazione Bocciofili Australiana, e i loro rispettivi comitati. Veneto Social Club - Relazione Annuale 1993/'94 quell' immagine silvestre dell'antico fascino, rende i loro raduni sociali al club piacevoli e tipici. Il comitato dei "Giovani Adulti" e anch'esso una grande Speranza per it futuro del nostro Club. Auguro a questi attivi soci e al loro comitato di mantenere gli esistenti legami con it sodalizio veneto e che le Toro attivita sociali nella nostra sede siano sempre piu numerose e di maggior successo. II gioco del "Bingo", coordinato da Mario Bonis e Celio Stocco, con l'aiuto di vari membri del comitato direttivo, e tutt'oggi attivo. Grazie pertanto agli organizzatori e a tutti i partecipanti. Al gruppo degli anziani, assidui frequentatori della nostra sede, formulo i miei auguri e Ii ringrazio per la loro fedelta al nostro Club. Sono I ieto che essi usufruiscano appieno di tutte le attrezzature sociali e sportive a loro disposizione. Anche it "Coro Veneto", ormai un gruppo di yeti professionisti, continua con onore le sue esibizioni canore, apportando al Club prestigio e notoriety. Come ormai sara noto a tutti i soci, la direzione del Club 6 passata dal Sig. Biancotto al Sig. Piergiorgio Cappellotto. Ringraziamo i I direttore uscente per tutto it suo lavoro svolto e diamo it benvenuto al nuovo direttore augurandogli buon lavoro. Al personale della cucina, del ristorante e del Bar vada it mio riconoscente ringraziamento per it loro
collaborazione in tutti i campi del settore bocciofilo del nostro Club. La squadra di calcio "Bul leen Veneto" si e riconfermata campione anche quest' anno. Congratulazioni ai giocatori e a tutti i loro dirigenti. I loro continui successi aggiungono prestigio e notoriety al nostro Club. Sia lo "Squash" che it "Tennis" rimangono sempre due attivita di maggior rilievo nel nostro Club. 11 lavoro che questi comitati sportivi svolgono 6 parte essenziale del le attivita sociali e sportive del nostro sodalizio. II Tennis in particolare a una grande attrazione per la gioventit e pertanto pue definirsi la maggiore fonte di vita per it futuro della nostra organizzazione. Congratulazioni per i loro successi e grazie di cuore per la loro preziosa collaborazione. A tutte le associazioni provinciali venete che fanno sede al nostro Club rivolgo la mia sincera riconoscenza per frequentare assiduamente i nostri locali. Esse, esprimendo al meglio la cultura delle varie provincie venete, contribuiscono a mantenere evidente l'immagine tipica del Veneto Social Club. Nel nostro sodalizio, alquanto eterogeneo, rappresentato anche l'antico sport della caccia. President's Report Our great Club is still, with increasing evidence, the symbol of our success, as migrants, in the transplant of our culture to this country with honour and dignity. We, through our Club, worthily represent the migrant population from the Veneto region in Melbourne. Our industriousness, which has always distinguished us, is still today alive in us, and it certainly, isn't the successes of our past which allows us to rest on our laurels. One can always do better and this is demonstrated by the obvious and ongoing improvements to our establishment, the frenetic social and sporting activities and the numerous attendances to our Club by members and supporters. The most recent undertaking has been the total renovation of the Rialto Bar which is now able to cater more effectively for all its needs. Our current project is to renovate the main
entrance to the Club. Given the many structural modifications and extensions, the current entrance is no longer practical nor is the style in keeping with the rest of the building. The realisation of this project will provide our Club with a more elegant and functional entrance. One will be able to arrive by car, to the entrance, in an under cover area. Next to the Bocce complex, we will build a new Sports Centre. We are currently awaiting the building permit. The Poker machines continue to be a lucrative success for our Club. As many as 92 were installed and they attract an extensive number of players. Club Keno has been recently added to these and it has already distributed many thousands of dollars to many lucky punters. In spite of the economic crisis We are currently experiencing in Victoria, as in the rest of the world, our Club is not suffering from these circumstances and is producing an extremely profitable balance sheet. This year we have achieved record profits, exceeding all previous financial budgets. We have the members to thank and their solidarity in attending all social activities, in great numbers, for the comforting financial situation in which the Club finds itself. We must also extend a

Owing to the cooperation and harmony existing amongst members of the Committee of Management, we have been able to reach the end of another year with an unprecedented success. I thank each member for their tireless work and their precious advice and suggestions as it has rendered my work easier and less onerous. I congratulate the Ladies Auxiliary for their continuing successes and I thank them heartily for their constant dedication to the Club. I thank all the volunteers who tirelessly dedicate their time to the running of the Club's activities and to the maintenance ofthe facilities. Their efforts contribute considerably to the Club s economy. Sport continues to be a maj or source of satisfaction for our Club. Once again our premises were selected as the venue tor the Australian Bocce Championships. I would like to thank Mr Biancaccio, President of the Victorian Bocce Association and Mr Remo Cher, President of the Australian Bocce Federation, and their respective committees, for this acknowledgment which

brings great honour to our Association. My warmest congratulation to our Bocce Sub-committee for a job well done. Congratulations and, above all, a sincere thanks to the ladies in the Women's Bocce Committee for their precious collaboration in all areas and aspects of the game of Bocce, at our Club. The Bulleen Veneto soccer team has won the championship once again this year. Congratulations to the players and their management. Their continued success adds prestige and notoriety to our Club. Squash and Tennis continue to be two major sports at our Club. The work executed by their respective committees is an essential component of the social and sporting activities of our organisation. Tennis, in particular, is a great attraction for the young and hence could define itself as the major life source for the future of our organisation. I congratulate them on their success and a hearty thanks for their precious collaboration. I offer my sincere thanks to all the Veneto Provincial Associations, who are based at our Club, for their constant attendance. They, who best express the culture of the various Veneto provinces, contribute to keeping alive the authentic image of the Veneto Social Club. Our organisation, being somewhat heterogeneous, also includes the ancient sport of hunting. Nowadays, however, these competitors mostly compete in claypigeon shooting competitions and this is something of an advantage to their reputation. Their sport, which holds still an element of that wild image inherent in that ancient attraction, renders their social gatherings at the Club pleasant and characteristic. The Young Adults Committee is also a great hope for the future of our Club. I hope their active members and their committee will continue to foster the existing ties with our Club and I hope their social activities, held within our premises, will continue to increase with even greater success. Bingo, coordinated by Mario Bonis and Celio Stocco, with the help of various members of the Committee of Management, is to this way an on-going activity. Thank you, therefore, to the organisers and all the participants. I give my regards to the elderly group, who are assiduous frequenters of this organisation, and I thank them for their loyalty to our Club. The Coro Veneto, nowadays a group of true professionals, continues to distinguish itself through its melodious performances, also bringing prestige and esteem to the Club. As is now well known to all members, the mana-

We thank the out-going Manager for all his work and we give our welcome to the new Manager, wishing him all the best. I extend a sincere thanks to the kitchen, the restaurant and bar personnel, for their work, which has been conducted with great professionalism. I am wholly grateful to Cay. Rino Tessarotto, who tirelessly collaborates on all the Club's publications. As per normal, Mr Joe Robilotta and Mr Ron Stone are always available for handling all the transactions with the Licence Commission. Their cooperation is greatly appreciated and we must thank them for all their help. A sincere thanks to Cay. Loris Sartori, the Club's solicitor, for his greatly valued tutelage with every legal negotiation. Thank you, finally, to the members ofthe financial committee, Corn. Duilio Barro, Cay. Dal Comitato Bocce Un altro anno a passato e molto in fretta, non perche sia stato un anno brutto, ma perche quando si invecchia it tempo passa troppo in fretta. Sembra sia stato I 'altro giorno che ho fatto it precedente rapporto ed ora sto gia facendone un altro. Purtroppo i giocatori diventano vecchi e di giovani che giocano a bocce ce ne sono molto pochi, nonostante che siano molto aiutati. Speriamo che nel futuro la Federazione trovi un metodo per attirare i giovani. Io penso che le gare di bocce bisognerebbe cambiarle. Non occorre che le gare debbano finire per forza in una giornata; si potrebbe farle anche in piu giornate. to penso che l'ÂŤAustralia Bocce FederationÂť dovrebbe prendere l'esempio di quelli che giocano nell'erba. Loro hanno fatto una campagna per inserire nel loro gioco, invece dei bambi-
ni, i giocatori che hanno finito altri sport. lo credo che un giocatore di bocce a trent'anni non sia un vecchio, ma che per lo sport delle bocce, sia molto giovane. Si prenda l'esempio di Silvio Gatto che ha oltre sessant'anni ed a ancora ii migliore. Ma ora parliamo d'altro. Prima di tutto voglio ringraziare tutti i giocatori per i I loro supporto e it sottocomitato "Bocce" per 1'aiuto che mi ha dato. Abbiamo organizzato con successo tutte le nostre gare e le nostre feste. Il comitato "Bocce" 1993/'94 e composto come segue: B.Vittadello presidente, O.Di Pietro segretario, M.Velo, S.Gatto, R.Polzella, A.Oscari, G.Gatto, M.Angeloni, G.Di Domenicis, R.Brazzale e G.Trentin. Un grazie a Gino, it cuoco, per i pranzi che ci ha preparato. Un grazie a linda Stoppa e a John Cobain per it lavoro che hanno svolto per noi. Grazie a Bianca Martini per tutto it lavoro che fa per preparare le frittole e i crostoli: grazie Bianca, di vero cuore! Ed ora voglio passare alla cronaca dell'anno 1993/'94. La " S.B. " ha fatto una bella figura sebbene non siano in molti in questa categoria. R.Furlanetto a finito primo nel suo girone e molto bene hanno fatto anche gli altri: bravi ragazzi di una volts! Nella "S.A." si sino comportati molto bene. Nel principio dell'anno avevano cominciato in due gironi ma poi sono dovuti andare tutti in un girone perche vincevano tutto. Non so perche, ma quando indossano la maglia del Veneto Club, diventano tutti campioni. Nella "S.L." hanno fatto veramente la parte del leone. Tutta la squadra del Victoria 6 composta da giocatori del Veneto Social Club. Abbiamo vinto tutto quello che c'era da vincere. Abbiamo vinto la "Nubrik" che a la gara piu classica di tutte. Abbiamo vinto tutte le gare di federazione e le gare inter-clubs. si sono svolti i campionati monDurante diali e la squadra australiana era composta tutta da giocatori del Veneto Social Club. S.Gatto, E.Colla e W.Brecevic hanno fatto una bella figura. S.Gatto
arrivato terzo nel tiro di precisione, W. Brecevic ĂŠ arrivato nelle prime posizioni nel tiro veloce e poi nel doppio sono arrivati quinti. Nel campionato mondiale della categoria sotto i ventun'anni, M.Favrin del Veneto Social Club ha rappresentato l'Australia. Nei campionati Juniores, svoltisi a Perth, it Victoria era rappresentato da due giocatori del Veneto Social Club. Anche it "Team Manager", P.Gusatto, era del Veneto Social Club. La squadra del Victoria 6 composta da W.Brecevic, S.Gatto, E. Colla, E.Pozzer, G.D 'Alessandro, G.Favaro, Team Manager A.Bolzanello del veneto Social Club. Squash Report It is pleasing to report that the squash club has continued to field 5 teams in the pennant competitions held during the year. Although all teams performed well the Club was unable to take out any premierships. In the spring competition which runs from August to November, three teams reached the semi-finals, however only the E-3 grade team, captained by Angelo Antignani, progressed to the final. The Danish Club proved to strong and the Club had to settle for the runners-up flag. Congratulations go to Angelo and his team on a fine season. The other teams reaching the semi-finals were the C-2 grade team captained by John Coleman and the D3 team led by Joe Maciocca. The Club's top team, competing in B-2 grade, had a great second round but missed the finals by just 2 points. Captain, Chris Apswoude, and his team are congratulated on an excellent performance at this high level of squash. 1. B-1 Grade Chris Apswoude; 2. B-4 Grade Mario Siliato; 3. C-1 Grade Oscar Morandini; 4. D-2 Grade John Coleman; 5. E-1 Grade Sam Magnani. With just three rounds to be played, the Club's best chance for a Premiership rests with John Coleman's D2 grade team. This team has led the competition throughout the season and is assured of a place in the Grand Final. The B-4 grade team, under Mario Siliato's leadership, is in a very close battle to make the finals. The team is one ofthree teams in equal second place. We look to a big finish from this team. All teams have performed well enough to retain their grading for the spring season. The Club Championship was held in July and again was keenly contested. Champion for 1993-'94 is Morris Forte who defeated Chris Apswoude. The Handicap Championships won by Anthony Bucello, his second handicap win. He also defeated Chris Apswoude in the final. Chris Performance in reaching both finals is

unprecedented. Unfortunately both finals are held on the one night and a hard handicap match, with Chris on a scratch handicap, took its toll and Morris was able to finish more strongly in the Championship. Congratulations go to Morris and Anthony on their excellent performances. Qui mi soffermo per la recente perdita del signor Rino Gobbo cosi repentina che siamo rimasti tanto amareggiati. Vada it nostro cordoglio alle sue famiglie e in particolare alla signora Ines. Purtroppo it destino a stato crudele. Secretary's Report It is with great honour that I present my fourth secretarys report, and it gives me pleasure to still be involved with such a great and successful club. Once again we have seen an other outstanding year financially and socially with the success of many different activities of the club making it success that it is. The pokies are doing extremely well and thereby helping the Club financially, therefore allowing the Club to offer its members some more benefits such as the reduction in its membership fees that was introduced at the last annual General Meeting, as well as the minimal $10 joining fee for the children of members of the Club. We have also held the restaurant and Bar prices down, and introduced a low cost menu for people wishing to dine during the week. Sporting has also been a great achievement for the Club over the last year with many sporting activities being played and the grand final being won by our soccer senior team. Sport is a very integral part of the Club, and we predict a very expanding sporting requirement for the Club to continue its success. We are projecting an Al quality basketball stadium to be built at the club together with a small creche, and this, together with all the existing sporting facilities we already have, makes the Club a great sporting and social venue for its members and friends. We look forward to a great future and a successful one. I would like to thank the other committee members, and the office staff for all of there help which certainly makes my job a lot easier. NOTE 1
STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTING POLICIES This is not a general purpose financial report. It is a special purpose report prepared specifically for distribution to members in accorda nce with the Club's Constitution and to comply with the Corporations Law. The Club is of a type identified in Statement of Accounting Concepts 1 as a non-reporting entity. The accounts are drawn up in accordance with the account ing principles and methods prescribed by Statements of Accounting Concepts and applicable Accounting Standards, and contain the disclosure requirem ents of those Statements except for: AAS 3 'Accounting for Income Tax' AAS 4 'Depreciation of Non-Current Assets' AAS 10 'Accounting for the Revaluation of Non-Current

Historical Cost Convention The attached financial statements have been prepared on the basis of historical costs and do not take into account changin g money values. They have been prepared on an accruals basis from the records of the Club.

Freehold Land & Buildings and Improvements - At Valuatio n $4,500,000 (1993 at Cost $1,965,071). No Depreciation has been provided on Buildings. The property was valued in April, 1994, by W.G. Miles & Co. Pty. Ltd. for purposes of establishing a current market value.
NOTE 3
Income Tax has not been provided. The Directors are of the opinion that the Trading Income may be exempt under the Income Tax Assessm ent Act. If the Club is deemed to be non-exempt there will be an income tax liability of $85,000 payable on the income of the year.
NOTE 4
Available overdraft facility of $30,000 which is secured against land at 191 Bulleen Road, Bulleen and Bank Guarantee of $112,50 0 in favour of Tattersalls.

AUDITORS REPORT TO THE MEMBERS OF VENETO SOCIAL CLUB (A Company Limited by Guarantee) ACN. 004 843 752 Scope: We have audited the financial statements set out on pages 30 to 36. These statements have been prepared on the basis set out in Note 1 to the accounts. The directors of the Company are responsible for the preparation and presentation of the financial statements of the Club. We have conducted an independent audit of these accounts in order to express an opinion of them to the members of the Club. Our audit has been conducted in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards to provide reasonable assurance as to whether the accounts are free of material misstatement. Our procedures included examirrtion, on a test basis, of evidence supporting the accounts and other disclosures in the financial statements, and the evaluation of accounting policies and significant accounting estimates. The Members of the Committee (Directors) in office at the date of this report were: Messrs. A. Martini, D. Barbieri, A. Pozzebon, L. Crema, C. Stocco, J. Bogotto, G. Cattapan, P. Ferronato, G. Piccinno, A. Rossiani, R. Rostolis, L. Sella and T. Signor.

The principal activity of the Club during the year ended 30th April, 1994 was to provide social amenities to its members and no significant changes in the nature of these activities occurred during the year.

The Net Surplus of the Club for the year amounted to $1084356. Income Tax has not been provided but it is estimated that if the club is deemed to be non exempt by the Income Tax Commissioner, there will be an income tax liability of $85000. payable on the income of the year.
4.
There were no shares or debentures issued during the year.
5.
No payment of dividends as such are permitted under the Memorandum of Association of the Company.
6.
Since the end of the previous financial period there were no dividends paid or declared.
7.
No significant changes in the state of affairs of the Club occurred during the financial year.
8.
No matters or circumstances have arisen since the end of the financial year which significantly affected or may significantly affect the operations of the Club, the results of those operations, or the state of affairs of the Club in financial years subsequent to the financial year ended 30th April, 1994.
9.
Since the 30th April, 1993 no m.51ber of the Committee has received or become entitled to receive a benefit not disclosed in the accounts, by reason of a contract between the Club and members of the Committee.
10.
No options to shares in the Club have been granted during the year nor are there any options outstanding.

Treasurer's Report Once again it gives me pleasure to report on the financial activities of the Club for the year ended 30th April, 1994. The Club has had a very successful year with a net surplus of $1084356. This was the first full year of gaming activities, and we have contained the level of income. Although the Bar and the Restaurant trading appears to show a decline, it must be pointed out that promotional activities in the gaming area have been debited against food and bar sales. Therefore, the gaming income has been subsidising the bars and restaurant. The gross income has increased by $751038, but the total expenses have increased by only $540030. This reflect on the good work of the Committee in retaining costs. The high cost ofrepairs and maintenance is abnormally high, $149531 which is an increase of $65403 over last year figure. This is reflected in the amount of refurbishment and maintenance carried out on the Clubs' premises. The Committee obtained a valuation of the property in April 1994 of $4500000, which has been reflected in the balance sheet, showing the net assets of the Club is now $6472890. The balance sheet now shows that the Club is in an extremely sound financial position, with total current assets of $1883622 against total liabilities of $325189. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Agostino Martini and the main Committee for their dedication and hard work throughout this past year. I would also like to thank the Finance Committee for there advice and guidance, and to the office Staff, John Cobain and Mario Bon is, and all Staff of the Club. Celio Stocco Treasurer

The Bulleen-Veneto seniors achieved the ultimate dream in 1993 when they won the 1993 Victorian Premier League Championship. The team finished the home and away matches on top of the ladder to win the minor premiership and followed this up by winning the Championship when they defeated arch rivals Fawkner 2 - 0 in the 1993 Grand Final. Led astutely by coach Andy Bozikas, the historic occasion was brought to fruition when goal scorers for the day Scott Patterson and frank Valentic brought the Cup back to Bulleen. The team for the Grand Final was as follows: Jeff Olver, Franc Valentic, Michael Vesnaver, Tony Marsan, Tom Sonsini, Robert Krajacic, Michael Branov, (Pat Giaccherini) Anthony Grbac, Andrew Zinni, Bill Tsiakos and Scott Patterson; Reserves - Gray Frezzini, John Gasparini, Robert Di Francesco. The "Best and Fairest" trophies for the 1993 season were as follows: - Anthony Grbac; Seniors: Best & Fairest - Tony Marsan; Runner Up Top Goal Scorer - Pat Giaccherini. - Adrian Petrocco; Juniors: Best & Fairest - Con Blatsis; Runner Up Top Goal Scorer - John Gasparini. The Soccer Sub-Committee led by President Adrian Benetti was very proud in gaining the 1993 Premiership. Adrian at the end ofthe season did not seek re-election for

that the Club has won this trophy, the last time being 1986. The Soccer Sub-Committee for 1994 is as follows: President: - Pat Saladino; Vice-president: - Bernie Bianco; Treasurer: - Rino Tessarotto; Junior Secretary: - Michael Catalano; Senior Team Manager: - Ron Carroll; Committee Members: - Frank Barbieri, Alex Lorenzi, Peter Simeoni, Mario Tocchetto, Giovanni Pizzato, Bruno Petrocco; Liaison Officer: - Alfonso Pozzebon, Celio Stocco. Bulleen entered 5 Junior teams in 1993. The under 12 team finished just outside the top 4 in fifth position in the "A League". The Under 14A team won the "A League" being undefeated and only conceding 1 Goal for the season. They also won the "Victoria Cup". The Under 14B team finished 3rd in the "C League" only 2 points behind the leader. The Under 15 team entered the "Super League" for the first time and finished 6th. The under 16 team won the "Super League" for the 2nd time being undefeated. They also won the Victoria Cup for the 3rd time. The under 16 were entered in the National Youth League where they stretch their run of undefeated games to 68 being defeated by South Melbourne, their previous loss being back in 1991. Veneto Social Club - Relazione Annuale 1993/'94 strong competition, the only team they lost twice was South Melbourne. They finished 6th behind the V.I.S. South Melbourne, Juventus, Heidelberg and Morwell. From the Junior ranks we have had several payers recognised for their talent. From the Under 14A team Damian Beattie was selected for the V.I. S. from the Under 16S Peter Groidis was selected to represent Victoria in Brisbane. Peter Di Iorio has been trained with the V.I.S. and may be selected in the near future. Con Blatsis was selected for the V.I.S. and has now been selected for the A.I.S. Michael Curcija transferred to Heidelberg and has been selected for the team to go to Malaysia in June. Most of the Under 16s now playing in the Reserves. The Club has a good supply of talented players in the Juniors which is good for the future of the Club.

Bulleen Junior Soccer Welcome to the 1994 Junior Soccer Season
Over the last few years our Juniors have enjoyed great success and I am sure that this year the tradition will continue. For the first time in our history we will be fielding teams in each age group commencing from Under 7 through to Under 16. We are also considering the possibility of an Under 16 girls team. I can assure you that the Under 16 boys have approved this consideration. This is the first year we have introduced Subjunior, that is Under 7, U/8, U/9, U/10. Games are normally played at the Veneto Club on a Saturday morning commencing at 10.00 a.m.. It would be fantastic to see members of our club coming to watch the ankle biters play. Under 7 have played three games and won three. We have currently nine players in the squad and the team is coached by Sam Curtis. A sponsor for this team is required, any help would be greatly appreciated. Under 8 have played three games and won three by an aggregate margin of 27 goals. This team is coached by Vic Zecevich who is also sponsoring the team through his insurance company. Under 9 have played two games for a draw and a
loss and are making steady progress under the guidance of coach Sam Nigro. I would like to thank Sam who has helped me tremendously to co-ordinate the running of all the junior teams. The team is sponsored by Rocky Calabrese of Finer Meats (best meat in Melbourne). Under 10 have played one game and have a 100% winning record. Well done to each Nick Bogiannidis and his team. This team is sponsored by E.S.D. Electrical Contractors. Under 12 team has played five and won four and were unluckily beaten in one game. Coached by Steve Sampimon ex Dutch Junior International. Tennis Report The annual Club Championships were held during the months of March and April with most sections being well represented. members were able to witness some excellent tennis and exciting matches. Congratulations to all winners and runners up whose names are listed below. All who attended, thoroughly enjoyed the Annual Dinner Dance which was held April 30. It was a very successful night. The Tina Mantello Perpetual Trophy was this year awarded to Gina Kiag for her long and tireless dedication to the Club. She has always been ready to lend support and assist in any way possible. Congratulations to Gina. The Annual General Meeting of the Tennis Club will be held July 18 at 7.30. As a number of members of the present committee will be standing down it is of great importance that all members attend and perhaps even nominate as committee members to ensure the continued smooth running of the Tennis Club. Dalla Comunita Montana dei Sette Comuni di Asiago The 18th May 1994 brought to a close my second year as secretary of the "Comunita Montana". The 18th may was also the date of the annual General Meeting, and on behalf of the Committee I would like to thank you for your numerous attendance and the interest you have all shown in our association. Those of you present would know that the Committee was re-elected with only one change, and at this point the Committee would like to express its gratitude to Angela Stefani for all her assistance over the past 12 months, and also welcome Ilario Rigoni. I would like to present my report on an informal basis, in fact, it's more of a "chit chat" just to keep you informed of the events which occur from time to time. As a member of the executive committee, my first objective was to update the membership and mailing lists. This took quite some time and has now been completed. As you know our original mailing list consisted of some 300/350 families of which only 98
were financial members. Obviously, it was financially impossible to allow this to continue, and furthermore quite unfair to all those who were contributing. In 1992/'93, 42 families joined our association, and in 1993/'94 there were another 36. This now brings our membership to a total of 176 families which represents a good, sound increase in numbers and the committee thank you for your enthusiasm and support, and particularly wishes a warm welcome to all our new members. At last year's annual general meeting a motion was passed that the Comunita Montana adopt an impoverished child from a third world country. We did this and you now have an adopted son called Richard Ruben Benavides. Richard is 4 years old and lives in Quito, Ecuador, South America. With regards to the magazine "Asiago, Ieri, Oggi e Domani", the committee forwarded the annual contribution as per our agreement. A message of thanks

Ente Vicentini nel Mondo Gli eventi e le attivita della nostra associazione continuano ad entusiasmare i nostri soci e grazie al cielo non si sente nessuno criticare o contrariare i1 nostro operato. Me la potrei quindi cavare con poche righe dicendo che tutto va per il meglio e che le celebrazioni del decimo anniversario del nostro ente sono gia state organizzate e proseguono come da previsioni. Noi siamo giunti al decimo anniversario pieni di vita e di entusiasmo senza mostrare nessun segno di stanchezza anzi proprio la continua linfa che tutti date con il vostro supporto incoraggia it comitato ad esplorare nuovi orizzonti in modo da poter rispondere alle esigenze dei tempi e delle situazioni. Noi siamo un'associazione sociale e culturale apolitica, socialmente infatti ci incontriamo pin volte all'anno al picnic, castagnata, ballo annuale ed a S. Stefano. Culturalmente facciamo moltissimo in quanto ogni volta che ci incontriamo parliamo tra noi ii "vicentin" rinnovando cosi il legame con la nostra terra con ogni parola che diciamo. Per evitare che chi, dopo lunghi anni in terra straniera, ritorna in patria e sia considerato immigrato alcune associazioni di emigranti come la nostra si sono
riunite a Roma per organizzare la fonnazione di una associazione che possa rappresentare tutte le associazioni degli italiani nel mondo, presso i van governi in Italia. Se questa iniziativa avra i risultati che tutti noi ci auguriamo, un giorno non lontano potremo anche noi avere qualcuno che pu6 darci un consiglio ed aiutarci a sbrigare i nostri interessi in Italia. Associazione Veronesi nel Mondo L' associazione Veronesi nel Mondo per la prima volta ha festeggiato, con un picnic tutto offerto dall'Associazione, la ricorrenza di Santa Lucia. Questa festa, ogni 13 dicembre, nella nostra Verona porta doni un po' a tutti. La festa, riuscitissima, veniva svolta sul terreno del Veneto Social Club. Soci ed amici, dopo aver ricevuto la medaglia con it numero del tesseramento per it 1994, si auguravano buone feste. II 13 febbraio it comitato invitava tutti i membri dell'Associazione a Geelong. Lo scopo della gita in quella citta era quello di passare un po' di tempo assieme al nostro segretario Alberto Mizzon, in quei giorni gravemente ammalato. Infatti, soltanto 40 giorni

Il 24 aprile, assieme ad un gruppo numeroso di soci, abbiamo celebrato la festa delle castagne. La giornata festiva a stata apprezzata da tutti. Nelle prossime attivita dell'Associazione avremo un Dinner Dance al Veneto Social Club i16 agosto, mentre, it 14 e 15 ottobre 1994, uniti al gruppo dei vicentini, i veronesi organizzeranno una gita in Pulman con destinazione Griffith. Colgo questa occasione per salutare tutti ed in particolar modo i piit assidui e it comitato in carica. Renzo Zanella
In questa foto vediamo it gruppo dei veronesi che ha partecipato alla gita a Geelong del 13 febbraio scorso. 11 gruppo ha trascorso una bellissima giornata nel parco "Western Beach" dove ha incontrato i compaesani residenti nella citta di Geelong. Vi sono stati momenti emozionanti poiche molti si incontravano per la prima volta dopo tanti anni. La festa era allietata dalla tromba di Salmetti e dalla fisarmonica di Johnny Donato.

Associazione Trevisani net Mondo Inc. Un grazie sincero al Veneto Social Club che ci da I ' opportunita. di pubblicare questa relazione che speriamo arrivi anche a tanti nostri soci. Grazie a Dio le core per I'A.T.M. procedono con lo stesso entusiasmo che da anni ci accompagna. II numero dei soci rimane sempre sopra i 400 e se qualcuno ci lascia altri ne prendono it posto. Finora abbiamo organizzato con successo it picnic annuale all'Heidelberg Park verso la fine di febbraio. Fu questo uno dei pin belli anche perche la giornata stata meravigliosa. Grande interesse ci fu al raduno generale e molti i presenti. Dopo anni di fedele collaborazione Peter Nervo per ragioni di salute si ritirava dal direttivo e it suo posto a stato preso da Pietro Stocco. In seguito i membri del direttivo si riunirono ed elessero: presidente Bepi Crema; co-presidenti Andrea Bettiol e Peter Buratto; tesoriere Roberto Pamio; segretario Padre Giuliano Cavarzan, coadiuvato da Gino Zuccon; segretario sociale Rino Bergamin e Lino Freschi; consiglieri Giuseppe Agnoletto, Oreste Barro, Peter Ferronato, Angelo Silvestrini, Pietro Stocco. Motto popolare sta diventando il Dinner Dance al Freccia Azzurra Club. Si 6 visto di anno in anno un aumento di commensali e anche quest'annu possiamo considerarlo un gran successo. Certamente it cibo buono e abbondante e it prezzo, uno dei pin bassi, fanno di questa serata sempre un avvenimento che attira. Alla fine di Aprile ci fu il Dinner Dance dei pionieri nella sala San Marco del Veneto Club. Con i 17 premiati quest'anno it numero dei pionieri a sal ito a oltre 300 unita. In programma quest'anno c'e l'annuale week end a Myrtleford alla fine di luglio; il Dinner Dance a Werribee sabato 20 agosto. Della massima importanza sara il quarto raduno nazionale dei trevisani che quest'anno avra luogo a Melbourne nei giorni 22 e 23 ottobre.

Hanno dato it loro assenso vane autorita civili e religiose da Treviso con a capo it nuovo Vescovo di Treviso Mons. Paolo Magnani. Tutte le sezioni A.T.M. dell'Australia hanno promesso la loro partecipazione per cui prevediamo un buon numero di partecipanti. Cosi, mentre ci congratuliamo con i soci per la collaborazione che ci danno e ringraziamo it Veneto Club per Pospitalita che mette sempre a nostra disposizione, facciamo un caldo invito a tutti a darci una mano affinche il quarto raduno nazionale abbia un buon successo e porti frutti di bene per tutti. Associazione Bellunesi nel Mondo Famiglia di Melbourne
We organized several functions including barbecues at Gumbuya Park that were attended by Bellunesi from Wonthaggi and Gippsland. The venue is becoming a favourite location and meeting place for the many friends and associates. We propose to make this a regular event involving family and friends with the regular Bocce, singing and traditional festivities enjoyed by everyone. The group also organised a bus trip to Canberra over a four day week end and were overwhelmed by the number of people wanting to participate. It has been requested that we organise these trip more frequently and we have some new possibilities in the coming twelve months,

Veneto Social Club - Relazione Annuale 1993/'94 success, where some 380 people attended. Apart from the enjoyable atmosphere, some great prizes were awarded during the raffle. This has now become a yearly event with not just Bellunesi attending but many of our Australian Friends as well. Our committee is also active in organising these social events where we meet on a monthly basis and their good work is very much appreciated. It is great to see more and more young people attending the various functions organised by the Bellunesi V.Faoro
The 350th game for Tony Marsan
Tony Marsan played his 350th game in the Victorian Premier League soccer competition, which is an impressive achievement in itself. What makes it even more remarkable is that all 350 games have been played with the one club: the Bulleen Lions. Tony Began playing in 1979 and has not received a red card in his career.
