Desidero far pervenire al Presidente, al Comitato Direttivo, ai Soci tutti del Veneto Social Club di Melbourne,ilmio cordiale saluto ed augurio in occasione dell'appuntamento annuale del rapporto sulfa attivita svolta. Anche negli ultimi dodici mesi le relazioni fra it Consolato Generale d'Italia ed it Veneto Social Club sono state ispirate a quella forma di cordiale solidarieta che ha permesso di instaurare tra it Sodalizio veneto e la Rappresentanza ufficiale italiana nello State del Victoria un dialog() costruttivo basato su reciproco rispetto, stima e simpatia. Il Veneto Social Club continua a svilupparsi in un armonioso rapporto tra attivita sociali, culturali e ricreative in modo tale che quello che it Club riesce a realizzare a favore dei propri soci diventa poi beneficio per tutta quanta la Comunita italiana del Victoria la quale - come ho avuto modo di affermare altre volte - vede nel Veneto Club una manifestazione tra le piu rilevanti del fenomeno associative in seno alla nostra gente che sicuramente fa onore ai veneti ed all'insieme dei nostri connazionali qui residenti. PRESIDENT'S REPORT 1984
RELAZIONE DEL PRESIDENTE E'veramente con immenso piacere che, in quanta di presidente del V.S.C., vi presento per la seconda volta la relazione annuale. Spero che essa giunga a voi con l'auspicio di un futuro sempre pi.0 prospero per it nostro sodalizio. Nei dodici mesi trascorsi ii bilancio del Club ha superato ogni previsione riportando, malgrado gli aumenti delle retribuzioni e delle spese in generale, un attivo superiore ad ogni aspettativa. Per tale successo finanziario bisogna dare atto a tutti i membri del comitato che, con grande abnegazione, hanno dato it meglio di loro stessi nell'interesse della nostra associazione. Inoltre e da riconoscersi anche 1'opera di tutti quei soci che hanno cooperato per it raggiungimento di tale traguardo. Come presidente mi sento in dovere di ringraziare commosso tutte queste persone che hanno dimostrato un sincero attaccamento alla nostra organizzazione. Una particolare menzione e dovuta ai nostri giovani it cui comitato ha svolto un'attivita sempre maggiore superando ogni precedente. I1 loro entusiasmo ed it loro attaccamento al Club sono di orgoglio per not tutti e ci danno la certezza di un avvenire sicuro. Fra le attivita sociali e culturali di maggiore rilievo devo ricordare la visita al nostro Club dei rappresentanti della Regione Veneto in concomitanza delle manifestazioni per it Festival Italiano delle Arti. Ricordiamo benissimo e con piacere la cooperazione che it nostro sodalizio ha dato allo svolgi-
It is with the greatest pleasure, as President of the Veneto Social Club, that I present this annual report for my second year. I hope it will reach you with the wish of an ever increasingly prosperous future for our Club. In the past twelve months the Club's financial balance has exceeded estimates, returning a profit well above all expectations, despite increases in running costs and general expenses. For this great financial success we must give recognition to all members of the committee, who have put in great effort and have done their best in the interest of our association. We must also acknowledge the efforts of all those members who have co-operated in achieving this goal. As President I feel it my duty to graciously thank these people who have shown a sincere attachment to our association. A particular mention must go to our youth whose activity through their committee has surpassed all precedents. Their enthusiasm and attachment to the Club makes us all proud and inspires a feeling of certainty for a secured future. Amongst the major social and cultural activities, I must mention the visit paid to our Club by representatives of the Regione Veneto, in conjunction with the displays for the Italian Festival of the Arts. We remember with pleasure the co-operation given by our Club to the organization of the Festival with the poster displays of the Ville Venete, the Eighteenth Century Burano lace, the Murano glass pieces,and of the paintings of the famous Venetian Artist Candiani. During this occasion we were honoured to host the Foreign Affairs Undersecretary of State, the Hon.Bruno Corti, along with the Italian Ambassador,Dr.Angeletti and the Italian Consul Dr.Provenzano. The festivities for the celebration of Victoria's 150th Anniversary have also been of great importance, during which the 3rd Military District Band paraded at our Club. I cannot fail to mention, in this annual report, all the sub-committees that form the backbone of our Club and whose pro-

mento del Festival con le mostre delle gigantografie delle Ville Venete, dei merletti ottocenteschi di Burano, dei vetri artistici di Murano e dei quadri del noto pittore veneto Candiani. Nell'occasione abbiamo avuto l'onore di ospitare it Sottosegretario di Stato agli Affari Esteri, on.Bruno Corti, assieme all'Ambasciatore d'Italia, Dott. Angeletti, ed al Console Dott.Provenzano. Di grande rilievo sono stati anche i festeggiamenti per it 150mo. anniversario della fondazione dello Stato del Victoria durante i quali si e esibita al nostro Club la "3rd Military District Band". Non pu6 mancare dal mio rapporto annuale la menzione di tutti quei sottocomitati che formano la spina dorsale del nostro Club ed ai quali si devono quelle continue e frenetiche attivita di manifestazioni sociali e sportive che rendono viva e interessante la nostra associazione. Da questi vari sottocomitati derivano tutti quei volontari che quotidianamente si prestano con la loro opera ad aiutare ovunque sia necessario per it buon funzionamento del Club. L'opera di tutti i volontari e di valore inestimabile ed it nostro ringraziamento e la nostra riconoscenza sono rivolte a loro con tutta la stima che essi meritano. Il gruppo delle "Ladies Auxiliary", dasempre parte essenziale della nostra organizzazione, continua a procurarci successi ed ammirazione. Le loro inestimabili attivita eccellono su tutta la vita sociale del Club e culminano nella magnifica organizzazione del concorso di "Miss Veneto" che spesso ci porta a successi lusinghieri nell'ambito della comunita italiana. Un ringraziamento particolare vada pertanto alla presidentessa ,uscente di questo gruppo, la Sig.ra Bianca Martini, ed un augurio di altrettanti successi alla nuova presidentessa Sig.ra Fulvia Barbieri. I] nostro gruppo bocciofilo anche questo anno ha dimostrato di avere dei grandi giocatori che con la loro bravura si sono distinti in moltissime gare. gruppo bocciofilo femminile in particolare, quest'anno si e distinto nella Federazione Bocciofila del Victoria. Il tennis continua a riportare i suoi successi e quest'anno e stato l'animatore della visita del Club Marconi di Sydney. A questo sottocomitato vada un particolare ringraziamento per l'orga-
lific and frenetic social and sporting activities bring life and interest to our association. It is from these sub-committees that we derive all these volunteers who offer their services daily, wherever necessary, for the continuous functioning of the Club. The work of all these volunteers is of inestimable value and it is with great respect, that our thanks and acknowledgement must go to them. The Ladies Auxiliary, which has always been an essential part of our organization, continues to procure us with success and admiration. Their invaluable activities excel above the Club's social life and culminate in the magnificent organization of the Miss Veneto Quest, that often brings us flattering success within the Italian Community. Particular thanks must go to the former President of this group, Mrs Bianca Martini, and best wishes for just as great a success to the new President, Mrs Fulvia Barbieri. Our Bocce Group has once again shown its great players, who have shown their excellence by being successful in many competitions. This year the Ladies Bocce group, in particular, have distinguished themselves in the Victorian Bocce Federation. Tennis continues to meet with success and this year it was the enlivener of the visit of the Sydney Club Marconi. A special thanks must go to this subcommittee for the excellent organization of Club Marconi's visit, during which a tournament was held for the prestigious Marchesin Trophy. The "Veneto" Chorus, always increasingly popular, continues to receive unanimous approval and it is a pearl within our Club. Hence, we give our best wishes to our choristers and hope they will continue to receive the same applause and appreciation for years to come. Our hunting group also, has not failed to find occasions for social activities. After their favourite sport (which is obviously held outside the confines of our Club), they met at our Club on various pleasurable occasions. From the Soccer Group I can say that this year it has received the support of many members. Therefore, a sincere thanks must go to all the helpers and supporters. Other sports like Squash, Basketball and Netball, although having a smaller number of followers, have nonetheless

nizzazione eccellente di tutte le manifestazioni inerenti alla visita del Marconi, durante la quale si sono svolte le competizioni per it prestigioso trofeo "Marchesin". Il Coro Veneto, sempre piu popolare, continua a riscuotere it consenso generale ed e una peria nel nostro Club. Ai nostri coristi quindi l'augurio di continuare per ancora tanti anni a risquotere gli appl.ausi di tutti. Anche al gruppo dei cacciatori non sono mancati i. momenti per le loro attivita sociali. Dopo it loro sport preferito, che ovviamente si svolge al di fuori dei confini della nostra sede, si sono ritrovati al. Club in diverse piacevoli occasioni. Del "calcio" posso dire che quest'anno ha ricevuto l'appoggio di moltissimi soci. Pertanto un sentito ringraziamento vada a tutti i sostenitori e a tutti i tifosi. Gli sports, quali lo "Squash", ii "Basketball" e it "Netball", pur contando un numero inferiore di appassionati, hanno dato anch'essi, in diverse occasioni, grandi soddisfazioni al. nostro Club, sia nel campo sportivo che sociale. A Terri Maiorino, nota a tutti come l'eccellente organizzatrice dello "Sport Spring Carnival", un riconoscente ringraziamento per la sua preziosa opera e un augurio sincero di poter contare sulla sua esperta organizzazione anche per it prossimo anno e per gli anni a venire. Nel concludere vorrei ringraziare tutti quei soci che non hanno mancato di frenostro Club. quentare con assiduity Gli. Amministratori Fiduciari (Trustee), i titolari di obbligazioni (debenture holders), per l'aiuto dato al nostro Club negli anni scorsi, quando il. Club ne aveva veramente bisogno. Il "Finance Committee" e it nostro avvocato Sartori per tutti i consigli e l'assistenza data al Comitato ogni qualvolta era necessaria. Vorrei ringraziare inoltre it "manager" Sig. G.Cappellotto e tutto it personale del Club per it loro cosciente lavoro. Un ringraziamento al personale dell'ufficio che ha fatto tutto it possibile per sopperire alle necessity del Club. The trustees and debenture holders for the help given to our Club in the past, when it was truly needed. The Finance Committee and our lawyer, Mr Sartori, for all the advice and assistance given to the Committee whenever needed. I would also like to thank the Manager, Mr G.Cappellotto and the Club's personnel for their conscientious work. Sfogliando it calendario dell'anno che abbiamo passato insieme, vedo che moltissimi soci hanno veramente fatto del nostro Club la loro meta settimanale, e so che per molti it fine settimana non e completo se non si e passata qualche ora al Club. Cie che pit/ mi entusiasma a migliorare sempre di pin, e it vedere che molti
soci sono orgogliosi di portare alle nostre feste gli amici e far vedere loro come siamo not veneti. Noi infatti dobbiamo dire che questo Club e it monumento a tutti i soci che continuano a dare vita finanziariamente con la loro presenza al club e alle sue attivita. Mi sento in dovere di ringraziare tutti i miei collaboratori, it Comitato Direttivo, le Ladies Auxiliary, e i Sottocomitati ed it personale tutto, che anche quest'anno hanno fatto del loro meglio per it successo che abbiamo ottenuto. Sono convinto che le mansioni sociali, sportive ed umanitarie del nostro Club saranno sempre, e per tutti i soci, l'incentivo a continuare questa opera che ci rende in un certo senso emigranti privilegiati. Se si riuscisse a far capire questo ai nostri giovani, forse qui non si parlerebbe phi di vandalismi ed avremmo fatto un passo in phi verso lo scopo principale del nostro Club che e quello di lasciare ai nostri figli un'eredita di tradizioni, di costumi e di cultura. "LADIES AUXILIARY" Report
E' trascorso un altro anno con tutti i suoi avvenimenti. Cose nuove e cose solite, ma tutte da ricordare negli annali del nostro Club. Nelle attivita del nostro gruppo, come sempre e rilevante it concorso di. Miss Veneto S.C. e quest'anno, con Sandra Volonghi e Renata Marin, abbiamo ottenuto dei risultati. eccezionaliSandra Volonghi infatti,dopo it titolo di Miss Veneto Social Club, ha vinto anche quelli di. Miss Italian Community e Miss Victoria Charity Queen e le rimane ancora l'opportunita di concorrere per it titolo di Miss Australia. Renata Marin, la nostra Miss Charity Queen, sta ora godendo 11 premio del suo lavoro che 1'ha portata alla conquiRiconoscenti not le sta del titolo. facciamo gli auguri di un ottimo soggiorno in Italia. Questi eccezionali risultati premiano da soli it lavoro del nostro gruppo che, come tutti i soci sanno, e sempre dedicato al benessere del nostro Club. Dopo it comment° di tale successo e difficile ricordare e far risaltare tutte le altre attivita che le Ladies Auxiliary svolgono durante tutto l'anno. Dal Primo Vice-Presidente
AVVISO dalla Regione "Veneto" Constatare che it tempo passa e cosa di ogni giorno, per6 mi sembra di aver appena messo giu la penna dopo aver scritto l'ultima relazione ed e gia tempo di tirare i conti per it Lo faccio con enorme soddi1984-'85. sfazione perche questo e stato senza dubbio l'anno migliore. Sembra di aver ritrovato tra di not del comitato e tra i soci piu assidui un nuovo entusiasmo ed interessamento per tutte le attivita del Club. Ho visto miglioramenti dappertutto. Dovrei menzionare uno per uno tutti coloro che hanno aiutato a conseguire questo lusinghiero risultato. Ma per ragioni di spazio mi limito a far giungere i.l mio sentito grazie a tutti i volontari che ci hanno aiutato ai Bar, al. Picnic, a cucinare le castagne, in Sala San Marco e dovunque ce ne sia stato bisogno. In particolare ringrazio Davide Barbieri, organizzatore dei volontari, che come sempre ha provveduto a mettersi in contatto con i volontari con grande successo di presenze. Alle Ladies Auxiliary, oltre ad un sentito grazie, le mie calorose congratulazioni per aver anche loro, con rinnovato spirito d'entusiasmo, raggiunto risultati meravigliosi e lusinghieri. Mi sento in dovere di congratulare sentitamente ancora una volta it direttore Piergiorgio Cappellotto che anche quest'anno ha conseguito, con it suo apprezzabile e costante lavoro, risultati ancora migliori del passato, facendo cosi phi contenti i soci, il. Comitato ed i I Direttore di Banca. A tutti i dipendenti del Club it mio grazie vuole testimoniare it mio apprezzamento per un lavoro ben fatto che ci ha permesso it successo. Essendo io pure un giocatore di bocce e "liason officer", ho occasione di sen tire spesso i travagli che, come tutti, anche it sottocomitato Bocce incontra. Mi rendo conto del lavoro e della dedicazione del Sig. Angelo Bolzanello al quale estendo una stretta di mano col mio grazie e le mie congratulazioni per aver anche quest'anno, con ii suo comitato, guidate con successo le gare e la festa annuale dei bocciofili.

Durante i dieci giorni di ospitalita in Italia, offerta dalla Regione Veneto, it programma prevede, una visita ad alcune delle principali citta, delle lezioni di lingua italiana e alcuni spettacoli culturali. Si anticipa fin d ' ora che la Regione Veneto, oltre a provvedere al vitto ed all ' alloggio dei partecipanti, fara tutto it possibile per contribuire ad a lmeno la meta del costo del viaggio di andata e ritorno da 11 'Australia. Al fine di agevolare gli Enti predetti ad organizzare it viaggio-soggiorno, si pregano tutti coloro che desiderano parteciparvi di mettersi in contatto con la Segreteria del Veneto Social Club durante gli orari d'Ufficio. Un'altra stagione e passata e con piacere mi accingo a presentare un piccolo resoconto delle nostre attivita. Ma per necessity di spazio non posso dilungarmi troppo e di conseguenza dovr6 limitarmi a citare solo i fatti importanti. Anche in quest'ultimo anno i nostri giocatori non si sono smentiti. Tutte le gare piu importanti della stagione, come l'Omega e la Nubric, da not organizzate, sono state altrettanti successi dei nostri giocatori, anche se quest'anno la concorrenza e stata molto pill forte delle precedenti edizioni. Basti pensare che alle due gare hanno partecipato oltre cento giocatori in ciascuna e che fra questi erano presenti tutti i migliori di ogni club. Nelle gare di qualificazione statale poi, innumerevoli sono state quelle che abbiamo vinto e specialmente nella massima divisione. Oltre ad avere ottenuto it primo posto nella classifica generale per opera di Peter Gusatto, altri sei dei nostri si sono classificati fra i primi dieci. Se pure non come nella massima divisione, abbiamo ottenuto buoni risultati anche nelle altre categorie e nelle nostre classifiche. P.Minato si e affermato

primo nella serie A e R.Brazzale nella serie Bi. Siamo orgogliosi anche del nostro sottocomitato femminile. I1 contributo che queste signore hanno dato durante la passata stagione e stato semplicemente straordinario. I nostri bocciofili mai si sono stancati di collaborare, sia per lavori manuali che durante e prima di ogni competizione. Quindi e ovvio e giusto che dietro questa organizzazione, femminile e maschile, i successi non siano mancati. Ed in fine, ma non ultimo, it nostro cordiale e riconoscente ringraziamento al comitato centrale del Club, che in tutte le occasioni, nel limite del possibile, ha sempre cercato di venire incontro ai nostri desideri. E con questo, augurando ogni successo per la prossima stagione, ancora una volta ringrazio tutti quelli che in qualsiasi maniera mi hanno dato la loro collaborazione, sperando che questa abbia a continuare anche per it futuro. Soccer's Report
The 1984 soccer season for Bulleen-Veneto was quite successful. The major highlights for the season were "Runners-up" in the 1984 Coppa Italia series, contested by all Italian represented clubs, reaching the quarter-finals of the Harry Armstrong Reserves Cup and finishing 5th, (equal 4th) in our first year in the Metropolitan Division 3. In 1984 Bulleen-Veneto were promoted to Metropolitan Division 3 due to the reshuffle of all leagues. This was a 2 Division jump from the previous year. In order to consolidate our position, Bulleen-Veneto went out into the transfer market to strengthen the make-up of the side. Andy Bozikas, Mel Anselma and Sergio Sabbadini were recruited from Fawkner and Pino Curcio from B.U.Juventus. These players along with established experienced an Junior players of the senior side achieved their aim of consolidating themselves in the 3rd Division. Vittorio Salvatore was top goal scorer

of the Club and also won the leading goalscorer of the 3rd Division. Vittorio also won the best and fairest trophy with Frank Barbieri runner-up. The senior side finished their 1984 season on a high note by reaching the final of the Coppa Italia series only to go down commendably to Thomastown 3-0. In the semi-final Bulleen-Veneto beat arch-rivals Triestina alpenalities after the game was deadlocked at 1-1 after extra time. The Reserves side of which it's aim is to establish the stepping stone in blooding the many promising juniors at the club for senior experience, had a promising year. Youngsters such as Ivan Stocco, Maurice Terzini, Paul Bastasin, Sandy Agnoletto, Anthony Travaglini showed that they had the potential to become worthwhile senior players. Ivan Stocco has already established himself for the 1985 season by being a regular member of senior side in the opening rounds. The coach, Sam Saladino is to be congratulated for his trust in the juniors. The 1985 season promises to be good for the Bulleen-Veneto seniors and reserves. Already both sides are in the top four in their respective competitions and we wish them all the best for the rest

Alan Gentry, ex Juventus and Victorian U/16 coach, is the coach of the senior side, and with Pat Saladino team manager, Sam Saladino (coach for the Reserves) and Adrian Benetti team manager for the Reserves. The aim of the Bulleen-Veneto soccer club is to try to get promotion this year and with the backing of the hard Working soccer sub-committee, along with the coaches and players that the club has we feel that our aim is very realistic this year. The soccer team encourages all members to participate in supporting their teams for honours and hopes that it can play attractive soccer, so that they maybe proud of the teams efforts.
I would like to thank the Veneto Soccer Sub-Committee for their extremely hard work during the year and would particularly like to congratulate Maria Bianco, as secretary of the Juniors. Maria and Mauro Baldi have worked most admirably with the Juniors. Also a very special thank you must go to the ladies of the Veneto Soccer who have worked and achieved so very much for the soccer. The soccer committee wishes to extend their thanks to the Veneto Social Club committee, Veneto Club members and their many Sponsors, for their continued support throughout the year, without whose encouragement and support we would not have been able to succeed.

Season 1984 was a reasonably successful year for our Juniors. Our U/11 finished 4th in their division, U/12 were Premiers, U/13 4th, U/14 2nd, U/15 3rd and U/16 7th. Our U/11 had a successful year with the help of coach B.Bianco, and manager G. Agnioletto and all the team. We wish to thank Mr Agnioletto for hisdedication in 1984 as he has retired as manager. We would like to wish Mr G.Barbieri all the best as he has taken over the roll of manager. Their 1985 season started off successfully being Premiers of the Bulleen Cup. Many thanks to Mr Raschella of Magic Kitchens for his sponsorship of this team for the 2nd year in succession. Under 12 has a fantastic year. We would like to congratulate the team, J.Robilotta (coach), Mr Moretto (team manager) for their great effort. Mr Robilotta and Mr Moretto have both retired from the team, we wish to thank them both and wish their successors Mr S.Verde (coach), Mr D.Dodorico (team manager) another successful year. Ascenzo (coach) M.Baldi (team manager), many thanks to S. Didomenico for his support. Ending up equal 1st on points our U/14 had to be contented with 2nd position due to goal percentage. A consolation for them was victory in the Bulleen Cup beating Juventus. Thanks to Mr Biasol (coach 84) for a successful season. Mr DeLazzari has once again devoted his services as team manager, and we would like to welcome the new coach Mr G.Pelusi. U/15 has a good year reaching 3rd position in their division. Many thanks to their coach and A.Pozzebon (team manager). We would like to welcome Paul Lostia (coach) and G.Pozzebon (team manager) and all the team all the best for season 1985. Our U/16 had an average year. Many of the boys have retired from the soccer scene, but a few have progressed to the reserves. We wish the ones who have progressed all the best, and thank all the boys who have retired for their time and dedication that they have given to the Bulleen Veneto Soccer Club. Many thanks to M.Sciola (coach) and M.Ceserin (team manager). This year we have an U/10 team in competition, we hope that the experience will prove successful.

Dal "Coro Veneto"
Con la chiusura del.l'anno sociale 1984/'85, it nostro Coro festeggera, it prossimo luglio, it decimo anniversario della sua fondazione. Dieci anni di intensa attivita, di qualche sacrificio, ma anche di molte soddisfazioni. Il. nostro Coro 6 stato anche quest'anno una valida rappresentanza artistica e folcloristica veneta in molti festival e manifestazioni etniche. Possiamo perci6 affermare che it Coro Veneto 6 ora ben conosciuto ed affermato nel Victoria e pure in qualche centro del N.S.W. Abbiamo naturalmente partecipato alle manifestazioni sociali del Veneto Social Club come la festa dell'Anniversario, la festa del. Presidente; siamo stati presenti ad un paio di feste dei Trevisani; abbiamo cantato S.Messe per la festa dei Vicentini, per la venuta del Vescovo di Treviso; siamo stati presenti alle manifestazioni del Club peril 150mo anniversario del. Victoria dove ci siamo esibiti durante l'intervallo della Banda Militare. Per le altre comunita etniche quest'anno abbiamo cantato una S.Messa in latino per una parrocchia cattolica di lingua tedesca a Camberwell. Assieme al. Coro Furlan, quest'anno abbiamo formato it "Coro Italiano" ed abbiamo partecipato ad un prestigioso concerto multiculturale in rappresentanza dell'Italia, con la partecipazione dei cori Germanico, Russo e della Banda della RAAF Australiana, al Camberwell Civic Veneto
Centre con il teatro completamente esaurito. Anche quest'anno it "Gruppo Corale Tre Venezie" formato dai cori. Veneto, Furlan e Adriatico, ha dato l'annuale concerto alla La Trobe University con una partecipazione cosi eccezionale di pubblico che, la pur capace sala della Union Hall non era quasi in grado di contenere. Quest() dimostra la validita di queste manifestazioni, che attirano sempre di piu gli appassionati dei bei canti tradizionali della nostra gente. Il Club Veneto di Adelaide ci ha invitato per una visita ed ha organizzato per it 26 maggio una serata in nostro onore. Ora siamo percio molto occupati a ripassare i.l programma di canzoni e, visto che 6 la prima volta che andiamo in Suoth Australia, vogliamo naturalmente ben figurare. Concludendo, possiamo a ragione essere soddisfatti del nostro contributo alla popolarita ed al buon nome del nostro Club. COMMITTEE 1984 -'85
1984-85 has yet again been another successful. year for the Veneto Youth Committee. Attendances have been extremaly high, which has enabled us to profit over $ 100,000 for the finan— cial year. An achievement which is to be congratulated by all. The Veneto Youth Committee is very plea— sed with its financial achievement for the year, however these are still many areas that need improving. Our attempts to provide over 18's discoes and social functions such as pancake breakfasts and car rallys have had relatively low attendances; except for the snow picnic which has always had an overwhelming response every year. Memberships have also been exceptionally low over the last year or so. Our aim for the next 12 months is to improve on all of these downfalls. The Committee is very confident that we will be able to improve in most of these areas; and with the confidence and enthusiasm that the Committee has, no doubt we will start to show results in the near future. This Committee con—
sists of Anthony Schieven (vice—presi— dent), Sandra Velo, Pina Macri, Dianne Dallan, Ang and Joe Polazzon, Andrew Theodoulw, Adrian Toccheto, Daniel Cesa— rin, Frank Baseggio, Robert Simeoni, Gianna Cortese, Joe Vetrone, Denis Bonin and myself, Sonya Velo as president. Special thanks must go to Pina Macri, Sandra Velo and our youth liason of— ficers Carlo -Graser and Sergio Ciochetti for taking over and running the Youth Committee in the absence of Anthony and myself in the later half of 1984. The Club has achieved record results for the year with a net surplus of $225,519 (an increase of $60,126 - 36%). The Club has continued to trade successfully showing an overall tradingsurplus of $115,759 for the period in question as compared with $32,314 trading surplus for the previous year. The increase of 258% on the trading can be basically attributed to an increase of $91,954 (22%) in total income received through the Club's activities while curtailing the overhead and operating expenses to a slight increase of $8,509 (22%). A closer look at these figures revealed two areas were predominately responsible for this good result: a)an increase in club sales of both food and functions along with the bars, while containing costs associated with 'these sales, have resulted in an increase of $64,583 (24%) in preceeds from restaurant and bar trading. Congratulations are to be extended to the Manager, Mr George Cappellotto and his staff in the attainment of these fine results; and b) the continua] good work from the youth sub-committee by even bettering last year's effort by raising a further $36,183 (40%). This year's income of $127,806 i.s a fine effort indeed. Well done to all concerned. Another contributing factor to the overall surplus of $225,519 has been membership fees of $92,690 which is unfortunately down in numbers from the previous year's figures. Also the Ladies Auxiliary with their continual good work, by not only providing valuable voluntary labour, have made their monetary contribution to the well being of the Club. Looking at the Balance Sheet it can be seen that financial structure of the Club has also improved beneficially over the past financial year. The net surplus for the year of $225,519 has enabled the Club to further increase its total assets by 139,912 (9%) while also drastically cutting its total liabilities by $85,607 (30%) on the previous year's figures. A closer look reveals that the

E' mio pregio, nel mio primo periodo di. Tesoriere, presentarvi la relazione sulle operazioni finanziarie del Club per l'anno chiuso al 30 Aprile 1985. II Club ha conseguito un risultato record per l'anno con un guadagno netto di $225.519 (un aumento di $60.126 36%). Il Club ha continuato la sua gestione con successo dimostrando un guadagno totale di $115.759 nel periodo in questions da compararsi con i $32.314 del guadagno complessivo del precedente anno. L'aumento del 258% sul guadagno netto pu6 essere fondamentalmente attribuito ad un aumento di $91.954 (22%) nell'iricasso totale ricevuto dalle varie attivita del Club mentre le spese generali di gestione venivano contenute in un esi.guo aumento di $8.509 (22%). Osservando piu attentamente queste cifre si rilevano due aree alle quali maggiormente pu6 essere attribuito questo ottimo risultato: a) un aumento delle vendite del Club nel cibo e nelle feste assieme ai bar, mentre i costi associati a queste vendite venivano contenuti, e risultato in un aumento di $64.583 (24%) nei proventi della gestione dei bar e dei ristoranti. Congratulazioni debbono essere porte al Manager Sig.Giorgio Cappellotto ed ai suoi dipendenti per it raggiungimento di questi ottimi risultati; e b)l'incessante buon lavoro del sottocomitato giovanile che, superando anche it .successo dell'anno scorso, ha 'ottenuto $36.183 (40%) in pill. L'incasso di quest'anno di $127.806 stato veramente un buon lavoro. Bravi a tutti coloro che hanno cooperato. Un altro fattore che ha contribuito al guadagno complessivo di $225.519 sono state le tasse di associ.azione di $92690 le quali sfortunatamente erano in numero inferiore rispetto alle cifre del precedente anno. Inoltre le Ladies Auxiliary con il loro costante buon lavoro, non solo hanno provveduto a dare preziose prestazioni volontarie, ma hanno dato anche it loro contributo di soldi per it benessere del Club. Guardando al bi.lanci.o annuale si pu6 vedere che la struttura finanziaria del Club e anche migliorata vantaggiosamente

undesirable working capital ratio (current assets as to current liabilities) of 54% from the previous year has now been completely reversed to a more than acceptable level of 159%. This has been highlighted by the $127,572 reversal from a bank overdraft of $14,338 (last year) to a position where the bank accounts and other deposits now total $113,234. These and other areas show the Club to be in a very healthy situation which will enable capital expansion projects to be undertaken in the near future, should they be desired. In conclusion, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the office staff -for their valued work of the past twelve months. To Mario Bonis, John Cobain and Ketti Pezzin many thanks. It would be remiss of me not to mention the Finance Sub-Committee who have given up some of their precious time in overseeing the Club's financial two monthly reports. This was much appreciated. Finally I would also like to thank my fellow members of the senior committee for their assistance over the last year. rispetto al passato anno finanziario. guadagno netto dell'anno di $225.519 ha messo in grado i.l Club di aumentare ulteriormente it suo attivo totale _a $139.912 (9%) tagliando drasticamente anche it passivo a $85.607 (30%) sulle cifre dell'anno precedente. Un attento esame rivela che l'indesiderabile rapporto del 54% del capitale invertito (l'attivo corrente in confronto al passive) dell'anno precedente e stato adesso completamente invertito ad un livello molto phi accettabile del 159%. Ci6 e stato messo in risalto dalla contrapposizione dei $127.572 attuali ai $14.538 di scoperto bancario (dell'anno scorso) ad una posizione dove i conti di banca ed altri depositi ora ammontano a $113.234. Questo ed altri settori dimostrano che it Club e in una posizione veramente prospera che lo pone in grade di progettare per it prossimo future un espansione di capitali, se ci6 fosse desiderato. In conclusione, vorrei cogliere questa opportunity per ringraziare il personale dell'ufficio per il lore prezioso lavoro durante gli ultimi dodici mesi. A Mario Bonis, a John Cobain e a Ketti. Pezzin molte grazie. Sarebbe una mancanza se non menzionassi i membri del Sottocomitato alle Finanze i quali hanno date molto del loro prezioso tempo nel controllare i rapporti finanziari bimensili del Club. The Club has not provided for depreciation of buildings which are included in the Balance Sheet at the cost of $1120093 refer Note 2. This is a departure from a Statement of Accounting Standards issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Australian Society of:Accountants. In our opinion depreciation should be charged to the Income and Expenditure Statement so as to absorb the cost of the buildings over their useful economic lives. The Club has not calculated the financial effect of this departure from the accounting standard and it is impracticable for us to estimate this. It is not practicable to establish accounting control over cash receipts and payments made in cash prior to their respective receipt or payment by Club SubAccordingly, it was not practicable to extend our Audit ExaminaCommittees. tion of such receipts and payments beyond verification of the amounts brought to account on the basis of the net movements of bank accounts of the SubSukiect to this limitation, and with Committees for the year under review. the exception referred to above relating to depreciating buildings, in our opinion:(a)

THE COMMITTEE'S STATUTORY REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30th. APRIL,1985 The Members Df the Committee (Directors) of Veneto Social. Club (a company limited by guarantee) submit herewith the Balance Sheet as at 30th. April, 1985 and Income and Expenditure Statement for the year ended on that date and report as follows: 1. The Members of the Committee (Diretors) in office at the date of this report were: Messrs. G.Boarotto,U.Masci,A.Martini, R.Tessarotto, T.Agnoletti, C.Graser, D.Barbieri,R.Rostolis, S.Chiocchetti, G.Bassora, F.Barro. 2. The principal activity of the Club during the year ended 30th. April, 1985 was to provide social amenities to its Members. 3. The Net Surplus of the Club for the year amounted to $225,519 Income tax is not applicable thereto. 4. There were no material transfers to or from reserves or provisions during the year ended 30th. April, 1985. 5. There were no shares or debentures issued during the year. 6. No payment of dividends as such are permitted under the Memorandum of Association of the Company. 7. Since the end of the previous financial period there were no dividends paid or declared. 8. The Directors took reasonable steps, before the Income and Expenditure Statement and Balance- Sheet of the Association were made out, to ascertain that all known bad debts were written off and adequate provision was made for doubtful debts. 9. At the date of this report, the Members of the Committee are not aware of any circumstances which would render the amount written off for bad debts, or the ammount of the provisions for doubtful debts inadequate to any substantial extent. 10. At the date of this report, the Members of the Committee are not aware of any circumstances which would render the values attributable to the current assets in the accounts misleading.
11. No charge on the assets of the Club has arisen since the end of the financial year to the date of this report to secure the liabilities of any other persons. 12.No contingent liability has arisen since the end of the finacial year to the date of this report. 13.No contingent liability or other liability has become enforceable or is likely to become enforceable within a period of twelve months after the end of the financial year which in the opinion of the members of the Committee will or may affect the ability of the Club to meet its obligations as and when they fall due. 14. At the date of this report, the Members of the Committee are not aware of any circumstances not otherwise dealt with in the report or accounts which would render any amount stated in the accounts misleading. 15.In the opinion of the Members of the Committee the results of the Club's operations during the financial period have not been substantially affected by any item, transaction or event of a material and unusual nature. 16.Since 30th. Apri1,1985 to the date of this report, in the opinion of the Members of the Committee, no item, transaction or event of a material and unusual nature which would affect substantially the results of the. Club for the next succeding financial year, has occurred. 17.Since the 30th. Apri1,1984 no Member of the Committee has received or become entitled to receive a benefit not disclosed in the accounts, by reason of a contract between the Club and Member of the Committee. 18.No options to shares in the Club have been granted during the year nor are there any options outstanding. Secretary's Report
It is with the utmost regret that I advise that I shall not be eligible for re-election as your secretary for the ensuing 12 months to serve on your Committee, however, I am optimistic that a younger and equally qualified person from our members will candidate for the post. I would assure that a secretarial candidate serving on your Committee would gain added experience, together with job satisfaction. Since taking up the post as your secretary in June 1983, I advise that our membership has remained around the low 2,000, as year after year it has become necessary to cancel certain membership due to their failure to honour their annual subscription. In addition to the cancellations, the deceased members together with a percentage of members relocating their place of abode total in all approx. 85 per year, only to be replaced by new membership. I would advise that it would assist if your senior members encouraged their children to become members of our Club, with the view of replacing our deceased members. May I take this opportunity in conveying my gratitude and appreciation to our most concientious and loyal office staff, who at all times have shown their endeavours to please and work in your best interest. Because the Liquor Control Board has implemented certain changes to the Liquor Laws, which were enforced as at January, 1985, it has become necessary for the Constitutional Sub-Committee to await their instructions prior to proceeding with amending our constitution, and as a consequence, the Costitutional Sub-Committee were forced to defer proceedings pending receipt of advice from the Liquor Control Board. Currently your Committee has recommended that moneys be expended in up-dating our elettrical system, then to be followed with the up-grading of our water reticulation, and thereafter your Committee has recommended that certain parts of our premises internally be given a cosmetic face-lift. The Committee believes that it will not be necessary to enter into any encumberances to carry out such work, and believes that once this work has been completed it will be for the added comfort and enjoyment of our members.

Es con it massimo rammarico presente che non potrO rifar devo che presentarmi per la rielezione come segretario presso it comitato del Club per i dodici mesi venturi. Comunque sono certo che fra i nostri soci ci sara certamente una persona pill giovane ed egualmente capace che si presentera per ricoprire la posizione medesima. Al proposito vorrei render noto che l'esperienza di lavoro come segretario del Club giovera moltissimo a chi. si assumera l'incarico e gli dara grandi soddisfazioni. Fin da quando presi l'incarico di segretario nel giugno 1983, feci presente che it numero dei nostri soci sarebbe rimasto attorno alla bassa cifra di circa 2000, dato che anno dopo anno si dovevano escludere alcuni soci morosi nel pagamento delle sottoscrizioni. In aggiunta sono da considerarsi i decessi di alcuni soci ed it trasferimento di altri in nuove zone di abitazione per un totale approssimativo di 85 ogni anno che devono essere rimpiazzati solo con le nuove iscrizioni. Io vorrei consigliare che ci sarebbe di aiuto se i vetchi soci incoraggiassero i loro figli a diventare membri del nostro Club, allo scopo di rimpiazzare i posti resi vacanti dai nostri soci deceduti. Vorrei cogliere questa occasione per rivolgere la mia graditudine e it mio apprezzamento al nostro coscienzioso e devoto personale dell'ufficio, it quale in ogni memento ha dimostrato di cercare di soddisfare e di lavorare nell'interesse del Club. Siccome it "Liquor Control Board" ha stabilito alcuni cambi alle leggi che regolano it settore, con decorrenza dal gennaio 1985, it "Sottocomitato per la Costituzione" e stato costretto a dover attendere tali. istruzioni prima di procedere agli emendamenti alla nostra costituzione. Recentemente it Comitato ha stanziato una somma da spendersi nell'ammodernamento del nostro sistema di elettrificazione, quindi seguira con l'ammodernamento anche del sistema idraulico ed in fine provvedera a disporre per alcuni lavori di rinnovamento all'interno della Sede. I1 comitato ritiene che non sia necessario presentare alcun preventivo di spesa per procedere a tali lavori e ritiene che una volta che questi siano

Further, I believe that all Sub-Committees should be given equal opportunities and it saddens me to learn from time to time that some of our members have tendencies to support a sub-committee more than another. We are a Club not an individual !!! policies should be respected by all and not only by some, "its all or none?". In conclusion, it is with great pride that I am able to say that our Club is fully utilised by members and their families, and as a consequence the Club in other words is self-sufficient and certainly self supporting. Rapporto del Sottocomitato Tennis
IL COMITATO PER LA SEZIONE TENNIS 1984 - '85. Da sinistra in piedi: Lino Andreatta, Giancarlo Bassora (Liaison Officer), Tina Mantello, Renzo Negrelli, Bruno Morabito, Raffaele Launech, Rino Mazzocato, Jimmy De Stefanis; seduti: John Lanzon (Secretary), Eva Bettiol (Vice-Chairman), Mario Basso (Chairman), Sophie Dal Castello (Treasurer).
Come in una giornata che giunga al suo termine, in cui it sole ha brillato molto, ma e anche piovuto, pure per la stagione 1984-'85 sta arrivando it tramonto. Perci6 e tempo di tirare le somme e rievocare quanto di buono e stato fatto dal comitato Tennis durante questa lunga "giornata" durata 12 mesi. Prima di tutto vorrei analizzare individualmente i pregi di tutti i componenti di questo comitato iniziando da Lino Andreatta e Tina Mantello, i quali sono stati sempre disponibili per dare it loro aiuto, sia ad un Round-Robin che ad un Bar-B-Q, quanto a qualsiasi altra manifestazione del Tennis. Quindi, Renzo Negrelli e Jimmy De Stefanis, che entrambi hanno fatto del loro meglio nel portare a termine it non facile incarico di supervisionare e dirigere i giocatori "juniors". Rino Mazzocato poi che ha sempre ben curato it mantenimento dei campi da gioco del nostro Club. Bruno Morabito che, con la sua professionalita, e riuscito a fare del "Gran Gala Night" e dell'Annual Tennis Dinner Dance i due pill riusciti eventi dell'anno. Raffaele Launech, incaricato ad organizzare i Round-Robins mensili, che e stato capace, non soltanto a far accorrere
numerosi partecipanti, ma anche a scacciar via la pioggia del sabato per far brillare it sole le domeniche dei. RoundRobins. (Ha forse egli qualche conoscenza lassu ...?) Sophie Dal Castello inoltre, che e stata l'infallibile incaricata a controllare tutte le entrate e le uscite della cassa della sezione Tennis, e quello che piu importa e stato it fatto che i conti li ha fatti sempre quadrare. Eva Bettiol poi, astuta lavoratrice, che era incaricata a dirigere tutte le nostre tenniste. E che dire del nostro "boss" Mario Basso? Egli e stato sempre impeccabile e diplomatico nelle pill complicate situazioni. Sarebbe un vero peccato se, come la pensa attualmente, l'anno venturo non si presentasse a dirigere il. Comitato Tennis. Per it tennis al Veneto sarebbe una perdita difficile da poter rimpiazzare. Poi Giancarlo Bassora quale "liaison officer" che e stato molto bravo a fare la spola fra it nostro comitato e quello direttivo. Anche questo e un compito che necessita molta abilita e Giancarlo l'ha sempre avuta. Per ultimo, il sottoscritto, John Lanzon che era incaricato al.la segreteria ed alle pubblicazioni su "L'Eco del Veneto" e su "Il Globo".

compito del Comitato Tennis per l'anno 1984-'85 non a stato esente da pecche, ma e stato piu che soddisfacente per la sua "performance". E qui, ancora una volta, vorrei menzionare alcuni eventi: it "Gran Gala Night", svoltosi it 12 Ottobre scorso, con la partecipazione del cantante Italo-Australiano Tony Pantano, che e stata una sera da "tutto esaurito; la ormai tradizionale sfida tra i nostri migliori rappresentanti del tennis e quelli del Marconi Club di Sydney, che ha avuto luogo durante "l'Australia Day long weekend", la quale, a parte la schiacciante vittoria dei nostri (37a 3), ha raccolto molto interesse, non soltanto fra i giocatori partecipanti, ma anche fra quelli che hanno voluto assistere all 'incontro; a conclusione di questa sfida, la domenica sera, nella sala Venezia, it ricevimento e la presentazione del trofeo "Marchesin" ai vincitori e it lunedi it Bar-B-Q, sono stati organizzati alla perfezione; l'Annual Tennis Dinner Dance del 15 marzo scorso al quale vi hanno preso parte oltre 400 soci e simpatizzanti. Anche questa serata non poteva essere altro che un gran successo e questo si deve al gran lavoro fatto dagli incaricati. Sono anche da menzionare l'installazione
di alcune panche al di fuori dei campi da tennis per gli spettatori. Queste sono state messe a spese delle ditte che desiderano reclamizzare it loro nome o prodotto. Altre ne dovranno essere messe in futuro. Con la fine dell'anno 19841985, l'attuale Comitato della sezione Tennis dovra mettersi da parte per fare posto a quello che sara eletto per it 1985-'86. Purtroppo diversi elementi di quest'anno non saranno disponibili l'anno venturo, percio vorrei augurare, anche a nome del recto dell'attuale Comitato Tennis, un buon anno di lavoro in buona armonia al nuovo comitato e ricordare loro che quello che piu conta per it Tennis al Veneto Club e essere tutti uniti per it bene di tutti. iPRESS l E gli anni passano e con la fine di maggio arriva anche it rapporto annuale del Veneto Social Club. Il sottoscritto che si e involto in tante attivita sociali deve correre sempre un pochino di pill; allo stesso tempo per6, guarda con fiducia al prossimo futuro per stabilire una tappa di congedo. Attivita sportive, ricreative, sono necessarie all'uomo per quanto lo e it lavoro, ma arrivera un giorno in cui e necessario porre nuovi limiti; limiti piu convenienti e piu direttamente proporzionali alle proprie possibilita. Dopo questa breve parentesi, dunque, passiamo al sodo. Cosa hanno fatto questi tiratori-cacciatori durante lo scorso anno? Nel tiro al piattello, oltre agli incontri mensili, avuti al Melbourne Gun Club con discrete presenze, abbiamo avuto due incontri speciali per it "South Eastern Interzone Championship". In uno di questi incontri la nostra squadra, composta da Benny Scotta, Frank Scotta, Val Dal Santo, G.Simeoni ed Ernesto Bertollo e risultata vincitrice assoluta battendo con imponenza tutte le squadre partecipanti e, fra esse, it Melb.Gun Club, Frankston Gun Club, Mornington Gun Club, Morwell Gun Club, Werribee Gun Club, ecc.ecc., un totale di nove squadre concorrenti. Complimenti ragazzi! Gli italiani, oltre ad essere i migliori produttori di fucili da caccia, sono anche fra i migliori tiratori del mondo.

Le ultime gare avute al Melbourne Gun Club sono state eseguite in unione con l'Abruzzo Gun Club. La nostra associazione con questo Club ha certamente portato un miglioramento ed un vantaggio bilaterale a not tutti. Siamo piu sicuri, piu numerosi e piu imponenti. Due mesi fa abbiamo avuto una magnifica serata danzante all'Abruzzo Club e, di ritorno, ne avremo due al Veneto Social Club: una it 15 giugno prossimo e l'altra, la principale, it 30 novembre. Ambedue le volte in Sala Venezia con un ottimo menu e un piacevole trattenimento. A riguardo dei nostri sostenitori voglio menzionare it primo, uno dei pochi, e cioe Mr John Casey della "BMG Concrete" che ci ha promesso un piccolo aiuto. Dietro le quinte, la persona che ha lavorato con insistenza, e stato 1.1 nostro Vice-Presidente Ernesto Bertollo. Frank Spinosa.

Squash Sub-Committee
SPRING PENNANT 1984 1964 was the most successful year ever for the Squash Club. In the Spring Pennant Competition the Club won three premierships and was runner-up in a fourth. Never before had the Club won more than one premiership in a season. The performance of the top team in winning B Grade was most creditable and lifted the Club into A Grade for the first time in many years. Congratulations go to the captain John Dal Santo and other members of his team. Premierships were also won by the E Reserve Grade team, captained by Rino Polesel and the Fl Grade team lead by Angelo Antignani. The F2 Grade team, captained by Dominic Nicolazzo, after a good season, was narrowly defeated in CLUB CHAMPION:

Netball's Report
Well, we've reached that time of year where Netball is nearing its close of the first season for 1985. But before I go into any further detail lets recap last year teams efforts. Right throughout the whole of 1984 the two Veneto Netball. Teams which existed back then had both shown great enthusiasm and potential in their games, as they were always either first or second place on the ladder. Then as their season came

to a close, our Veneto II team were in the finals. After a long wet and hard game Veneto unfortunately lost but not without giving the other team a run for their money. It was an all team effort and a great one at that. So having come runners up Veneto II has since then been upgraded in their Saturday afternoon competition this year. Another exciting event for the Veneto teams last year was, of course the annual Spring Sports Carnival. The enthusiasm was so great we acquired a new juniors team for the day, who have since then remained with us. These girls played extremely well considering it waS the first time they had played with eachother against another team, and, with all the training they've been getting since, they're sure to go far in netball. Our Veneto I team on the day had won just about every game played but unfortunately missed out in the end on the

grand final by only one goal. Once again it was a superb all team effort. Overall, Netball in 1984 was a good year for us. Although we didn't quite achieve the results we were hoping for, we know that with the training program we've got going for the girls now, and a little more effort, the Veneto Netball teams can bring home a premiership. Netball this year, has had quite a few noticable changes. For istance, we now accommadate four teams, plus another senior team starting next season. The current teams consist of three senior teams and one junior team. So far, 1985 has proved to be our year with two of our teams sitting on top of the ladder. Veneto I, who play Saturday afternoons in Section one are currently sitting fourth place on the ladder.

Veneto II, who also play Saturday afternoons in Section two are sitting on top of the ladder and with three matches left to play, look like getting into the finals. Veneto III, our junior team, are currently fourth on the ladder and they too play on Saturday afternoons in the under 16 section. Finally, Veneto IV who play Tuesday nights are also on top of the ladder and have been all season. They, too with only three games left to play, look like getting into the finals easily. When you consider the number of players we've had out this season due to injuries and car accidents, it's been a great effort from everyone. Our abilities are thanks to two of our players who took the time to train us. Giuliana and Daniella who play Netball as well as coach us, did a great job

this season in training us every Wednesday night and other nights when the need arose. All the girls as well as myself thank them and appreciate their work. At the same time we welcome the return of our once coach Nereo Giacomin who will be ,our coach from now on. Once again a great show of appreciation from the girls as it is acknowledged that all this work is purely voluntary. Before I close off, I wish to make a request to all you members and nonmembers of the Veneto Social. Club. Currently, as most of you have already noticed, on Wednesday nights there is a rope blocking off the two netball courts so that we netballers can train.
Please understand that we are unable to train if there are cars parked on the courts, or, if there are cars trying to drive through whilst we are trying to train. So, at times when the rope isn't out up it only means someone has forgotten to out them up for us, so please don't "invade our space". We play to represent the Club and its Members, so please be a bit more considerate! With this I sign off with the confidence that in less than a month we will come home with a premiership. What will next season hold for us ?

Venerdi 15 Marzo 1985 - Tennis Annual Dinner Dance II Comitato Tennis mentre presenta al Presidente un assegno gigante di $2000 da essere usato per l'installazione di innaffiatoi automatici nei sei campi da Tennis. La squadra femminile della Section 11 the ha vinto it campionato Thursday Ladies Summer Competition . Nella serata di gala si vedono in ballo Miss T. Bassora con it Presidente R.Tessarotto, it Cr Bill Larking con Miss R.Marin, Miss Veneto 1984 S.Volonghi col Chief Superintendent Mr R.Stewart e in fondo it vice-presidente Agostino Martini.
Miss Sandra Volonghi the ha ottenut, i titoli di "Miss Veneto", "Miss Italia Community" e "Miss. Victoria Charity Queen" assieme a Miss DiOrio, Mrs Regos e all'on. A.Peacock.
