Hello, My name is Favour Adesina and I am a 1st year M.Arch student at Carnegie Mellon University, School of Architecture. I am a hardworking and forward thinking individual, whose passion for design is derived, from the simplification of complex relationships between people, information and space. INTERACTIVE DASHBOARD DESIGN Interactive Design Overview Project // Duration: 2 months In collaboration with Nish Nilakantan, Nubia Teklu, Yuning Xia

Alanna is the instructor of a Game Design class, where students will be giving presentations on the game their group designed, and receiving feedback from their peers. Murphy, a presenter presenter,, will present without any tech aids. Frank, one of 20 students, students, will answer prepared questions from Murphy’s team, and give feedback so that Murphy’s team can improve their project. Our aim was to create interactive dashboards Frank and Alanna will have in front of them during Murphy’s presentation.

Taking into account user needs, we planned to allow the instructor to notify students to focus, while allowing access to customize dashboard layout via tab placement and size. We incorporated a default Focus Mode for student listeners like Frank. Users can switch default Mode off for students who can focus with more interaction; focus Mode button in bright blue for contrast and improved visibility. To engage the student listeners to switch between having focus mode on and off, we added a smooth animation which expands the notes tab and presents more interaction via unanswered questions.

Used Gestalt principles with graph representation, instructor can hover over a student’s initials to see their full name .

TIK TOK USER INTERFACE Interactive Design Overview Project // Duration: 1 month In collaboration with Nihad Abu Aker, Irene Kang, Annie Woo,Yuning Xia Software: Figma, Miro, Photoshop

Our focus was on addiction to social media.

When we looked at our own experiences with the app, we all admitted that it was hard to leave. We all indicated TikTok as the social media app that we spend the most time on.

Through further discussion, we decided that one of the main causes of addiction to Tik Tok was the ability to endlessly scroll. scroll. We decided that this would be the main focus of our primary research and eventually, our final design.

Primary Research Summary •Respondents’ Age: 13 - 25 years old •Daily Social Media Usage: Usage: TikTok:2 HRS, Instagram:1 HR, Snapchat:45 MIN, Wechat:1HR, Whatsapp:45 MIN, YouTube: 2HRS •Effect on Mental Health: Most people claim a significant negative effect.

CONVERSATIONAL USER INTERFACE DESIGN Interactive Design Overview Project // Duration: 3 weeks In collaboration with Celine Tseng, Emilie Zhou, Nathan Zhu Software: Voiceflow, Figma, Miro

The goal of our project was to help emergency service workers in their transportation of patients through an on-board, generative CUI for ambulances.

We aimed to transform the three-way relationship between the ambulance, the EMS worker, and the patient.

Furthermore, our goal was to prototype a CUI that effectively decreases stress and pressure on the EMT Our design process involved needs analysis, journey mapping and usability testing as well .

Persona: Andre Wilson

Andre is an emergency paramedic who’s passionate about helping others.

He recently moved to Pittsburgh so he’s still unfamiliar with the area.

Andre often works alone and monitors patients in the back of the ambulance.

The quiet of another entity, pulsing through space, fluctuating with time; an ambiguous presence bleeds through polar chambers.

The “Observer”, listening to the heartbeat of a foreign unseen matter, Waits in lightlessness, with only pulsing flickers to

illuminate the

darkness. Barren and sterile, the “Subject” is confined by emptiness, Their exposed essence radiates in sound, awaiting the guidance of a greater obscurity. Two correspondent personas, one cloaked in darkness and one washed in fluorescence, co-exist within the manifestation of

one

synonymous

beat.

are

a

dynamic power duo oscillating through time.
