“The poor don’t need pity, they need the return of what was stolen: dignity, land, time, breath, and peace. In the quiet corners of community where wealth never visits, you’ll still find love passed around like bread, passion burning in cold rooms, and empathy surviving where greed would’ve have long died a painful death”

altered eats

As old age slowly tightens its grip on me, alcohol and I just aren’t on the same page like we used to be Fortunately, I’m not alone with non-alcoholic options popping up everywhere, it’s clear a lot of us are rethinking the booze So this week on Altered Eats, I’m dusting off the cocktail shaker and serving up some PotTails for your summer sipping

I’ll be using a 100mg lemonade from my friends at Franklin’s as the base for all of these drinks Using a pre-made, high-dose beverage saves a ton of time but if you’re feeling ambitious, you could always whip up some infused sugar and make your own lemonade or sour mix from scratch.

We’ll start by making an infused sour mix with the lemonade and fresh lime juice Then we’re diving into a trio of summer-ready cocktails: a classic whiskey sour (my personal favorite warm-weather drink), an infused riff on the Scurvy Sour from Mock-Ups perfect if you don’t feel like splurging on a non-alcoholic spirit, and a strawberry mule, because no summer cocktail menu is complete without some ginger beer in a copper mug

Product Review: Kanha Live Rosin Belts, A Deliciously Elevated Throwback

there are edibles, and then there are these long pieces of delightful experiences wrapped in lightly sweet dust of nostalgia and infused with terpene-rich rosin. Kanha’s new Live Rosin Belts are an adult upgrade to the candy I used to inhale as a kid, now with the added bonus of getting me comfortably and reliably high.

I got these Kanha Live Rosin Belts as an early birthday gift from a friend who knows

me way too well. She knew I was going to the beach for a week with family and thought they would be the perfect accompaniment. Each bag contains four belts, each clocking in at a smooth 25mg of THC, totaling 100mg per pack. Potent, but not overwhelming, just the way I like it I decided to eat one entire bag at the start of each day before I consumed anything else That way I could give these edibles a real shot and be able to share the results properly

Kanha Live Rosin Belts Review

Let’s break down the lineup, because the flavor game here is no joke:

Strawberry Lemonade (Ice Cream Cake)

This one greets you like a summer state fair –bright strawberry candy vibes up front, then that citrusy lemonade tang that settles in on the backend. But it’s not overly sour or sweet, which is great The Ice Cream Cake genetics mellow it all out, making the high feel like a lazy afternoon on the porch with nowhere to be and all day to get there Euphoric, but relaxed. I felt it kick in at about 25 minutes, and within the hour I was floaty. Not couchlocked but definitely feeling it a bit.

Blueberry Lemon Drop (GMO x Gelato)

Alright, this one’s got some personality to it. It starts with a tart and sweet blast of blueberry like a slushy you’d buy with quarters saved from mowing lawns. But beneath that sugar lies some serious GMO funk, paired with the smoothness from the Gelato parent This was the most interesting high of the three Definitely felt that hybrid buzz hit with a mild body tingle and a dialed-in focus that had me folding laundry like I was prepping for a Netflix show about domestic wizardry.

Cherry Limeade (Tropicana Cherries) – My Favorite!

Hands down the MVP. I’d eat this flavor even if it didn’t have THC in it. It hits that perfect balance of sweet, tart, and citrusy bite, like a cherry limeade from a drive-thru in the middle of summer.

The Tropicana Cherries strain gives the experience a bright, cerebral lift that’s energizing but not buzzy. It had me grinning, floaty, and borderline flirty with inanimate objects. This is the flavor I’ll hoard and hide from guests. No regrets.

Mouthfeel, Timing & High

Texture-wise, the belts are soft, slightly chewy, and not too sticky with no jaw-breaking effort required They’re dusted in a light sour sugar that enhances the flavor without overwhelming it I ate every single belt in each bag and honestly wanted more because I have a huge sweet tooth and they’re just that good.

Onset was relatively fast for an edible. I noticed effects in about 20–30 minutes every time, which puts them on the speedier side of the edible spectrum. The high was well-balanced and fairly long-lasting (about 1.5-2 hours), tapering off without a crash.

*I’m a heavy cannabis consumer, so the effects don’t hit as hard or last as long I do not recommend eating the entire bag at one sitting; that’s just something I do because 75-100mg is about perfect for me

An Edible for Your Thoughts

Kanha nailed the assignment here: blend nostalgic flavor, live rosin, and precise dosing into a product that feels joyful and effective. The branding is fun without being juvenile, and the product itself is tasty, high quality, and easily something most people would enjoy for a night out, a chill creative session, or just zoning out with music and your cat.

Bottom line? If you grew up loving sour belts and now want them to do something besides rot your teeth, Kanha’s Live Rosin Belts are your grown-up redemption arc Get the Cherry Limeade first. Thank me later.
