Our holidays combine a fantastic selection of activities for both children and adults, allowing the whole family to enjoy the excitement of doing new activities together - a great bonding experience and great fun, whilst also leaving some much deserved downtime to either relax or explore the area further.

Each family can choose from our inclusive activities to create their own holiday programme. There is no pressure to participate. You choose how much or how little you want to do. Parents may want to spend the day relaxing, reading a good book or visiting local attractions while we look after the children - it’s up to you. And with activities designed for all abilities, you don’t need to be an expert or super fit to enjoy them.
There is something wonderful about the southwest of France with its spectacular coastline, rolling countryside, forests, magnificent lakes and majestic mountains. wHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT CAMPING! And if you’ve never been camping before you’ll be amazed how easy and enjoyable it is! AzuRivage has all the facilities to make your stay relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable. Of course, if your ideal holiday includes a quiet spot, a good book and a glass of something chilled then camping does that best too.
ROCKLEY WATERSPORTS CHALET TENTS Our Get Active Holiday accommodation is provided in our own chalet-style tents. The Rockley chalet tents have three separate sleeping compartments for up to six people. Each tent has proper sprung beds, full electric lighting and power points. A table, parasol and chairs are provided for you to relax and enjoy the fresh air under the pine trees. On arrival, you’ll find a ‘welcome pack’ including a bottle of wine and some beer (chilled of course) along with some essentials including fruit juice, bottled water, milk, tea and coffee.
AL FRESCO DINING Our Get Active holidays are all about you enjoying your time on the water with your family and new-found friends, which is why we take care of everything else including all your meals! Our chef and catering team offer meals using fresh locally sourced ingredients for you to enjoy after your activities. With buffet style lunches which cater for all tastes and appetites and a two course evening meal including a bottle of beer, glass of wine or soft drink, you can enjoy the relaxed environment of a Rockley holiday and share tales of the day with your friends and family.
FUN OFF THE WATER! During your time off the water we aim to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible, which is why our varied programme of social events is guaranteed to keep everyone entertained. Our arrival evening ’Welcome Drinks‘ gives you a chance to meet your instructors and fellow Get Active families and is a good opportunity to ask any questions you may have. After a day or two you can enjoy our ’Boules‘ evening where you can choose to pit your family team against all comers or split up and take on the kids! Towards the end of the week we host a family themed evening ending with a lively prize giving ceremony. Parents and children also get an evening off from each other with our activity evenings for the youngsters. While we take good care of them, you can relax with a glass of wine!

Get to grips with during our beginner and intermediate clinics. With sessions focusing on different techniques you can customise your own week of sailing activities

from our beach at AzuRivage couldn’t be easier and you don’t need to have any experienc at all. There’s plenty to see and it’s a great workout!

GET ON THE WATER! Our fabulous range of water and land based activities means that the whole family get to have a go on the water no matter what level you are! Our weekly programme of events means that you really can have the holiday you want! Throughout the morning and afternoon we offer 2 hourly sessions of activities for you to pick and choose from so if you are super keen to get on the water or on your bike, you can do so, but if you also want a bit of down time and chill out by the pool with a good book, then you can do that too! Marketing Manager Cassandra Preston took her family to France this year with her husband and 2 children Daisy (7) and Joseph (4) - “This is the perfect holiday for all of us. The children were able to try out all the activities and had an absolutely amazing time with the Instructors. We had lots of fun on the water together as a family, but they also made some great friends and so spent some of their time doing activities with them”. “We all particularly loved the children’s only activity evening as we were able to sit and talk to the other parents while Daisy and Joseph were in safe hands having fun with all the other children. We’re a family that love camping and the outdoors so it really is the perfect holiday for us and most importantly our children absolutely love it!”
YOUR HOLIDAY CHECKLIST With a French Family holiday it’s probably more a case of what not to bring - we’ve tried to include as much as possible in the price of your holiday, so the important things like all meals, bed linen and towels are all included. Here are just a few essentials we recommend; Rash vest – short or long sleeved or long sleeved tshirt Long board shorts Sun hat or cap Lightweight waterproof Sun cream – high factor (25 SPF +) If the weather is cooler than normal you may require some lightweight long trousers and a fleece for on the water also Water bottle
Footwear – old trainers or non slip shoes. (sandals/flip flops are not
suitable for water activities.)

HAVE YOUR SAY Mummy blogger, sARAH-jayne WINdridgeFrance & HER FAMILY EXPERIENCE LIFE ON A CAMPSITE after winning a family holiday to Azurivage Winning anything (from the silliest game with the kids to a major lottery win … that obviously I’m still waiting for) gives the senses a euphoric buzz … so when you win something that you really want/ really need it makes that contented little buzz all the more apparent. This time, I’m very glad to say, I was lucky in all senses of the word. Not only did I get an email saying that I’d won a wonderful holiday for my family, but it was something different, something that REALLY appealed to our family and something that I never thought would be possible with Archie.
Factfile Sarah-Jayne Windridge-France lives in yo rkshire with her husband Pete and 3 children, archie (aged 13), jem (aged 11) and Scarlett (aged 8) . Sarah-Jayne IS A BLOGGER, WRITER, POET, AUTHOR AND MUM.
When we arrived on site at just after 7.00 pm (French time) the temperature had cooled to a more modest 35 degrees. The cool beer and wine that Mini offered us as we toppled out of the car could not have been more gratefully accepted. That, together with a wonderful meal prepared at the hands of Hayley the Head Chef and her team, and we were already in heaven and ready to explore before hitting the hay.

The kids awoke keen and eager and got their kit on, Scarlett with a little trepidation at going off on her own but with a little convincing by us and the Rockley crew she was up for it nonetheless. With Leanne’s guidance we got Archie on a boat and, as we’d guessed, he LOVED it! Leanne was very honest in admitting to us that she really hadn’t known what to expect, regarding Archie’s needs – but was so happy to have us and Archie aboard. She was thrilled that Archie enjoyed it as much as he did and that she was able to manage our instruction with relative ease. The entertainments that the staff organised each evening were great. The Rockley staff were keen to ensure continued fun for everyone – especially the children and the food every day was fabulous, we couldn’t fault it. ALL the staff were really fabulous and full of life, they really couldn’t have been nicer. A team of friendly, fun, bronzed lovelies, that if I’d have been 20 years younger I’d have readily joined their gang. They were well-trained, knowledgeable and professional, whilst being heaps of fun. Such a great way to gain work and life experience over the summer months. We all had just THE best time – but none moreso than Archie who smiled from start to finish, loved the music, the attention and being on the water (especially at speed).
For me, it was just SO good to take my foot off the gas a little. To delight in spending time with my family and to soak up some sun and to be looked after so very well … I loved honing old sailing skills from my youth and learning new ones on the water and I thoroughly enjoyed a patch of France I hadn’t visited before and making lots of new friends. Rockley you totally rocked it!
GREAT FOR SINGLE PARENT FAMILIES TOO! The social and active nature of our French Family Holidays makes for an ideal holiday for single parents with their children. We create a relaxed environment which means that youngsters can easily make friends and their parents can relax or enjoy the activities with fellow holiday-makers.
