Happy Spring, Junior Irish!
We are celebrating the season of rebirth and renewal with joy and hope. Our 100 Anniversary Masses program continues as we wrap up what has been an incredible two years of celebrating 100 Years of Father Ryan.
Our annual Irish Easter Egg Hunt on March 28 was a huge success. Thanks to so many Junior Irish for joining us, to our Alumni Association for hosting such a fun event, and to our generous sponsors for making the day possible.

All families are invited to this informative morning of a student panel, tours, and a Q&A. Faith Formation and Creating Ethical Leaders at Father Ryan
The world needs ethical leaders and changemakers. For 100 years, Father Ryan’s Catholic traditions have shaped young people’s character and faith to create a moral foundation for life. As we move into our second century, we remain committed to this focus, in and out of the classroom.
Ours is a community for all faiths with many opportunities for spiritual growth and service. In this month's Irish Insights blog, we talk to Louisa Bateman, Director of Campus Ministry, and Daniel Dion, Coordinator of Service Learning. They discuss the importance and impact of ethical education and how it unfolds at Father Ryan, inspiring students’ lives today and tomorrow.

Some of the best learning happens out of your comfort zone. That’s the idea behind our exchange programs. Students engage in unfamiliar places and perspectives, which infuse their lives in countless ways.
Last month, 11 Father Ryan students traveled to New York City for a new exchange program with Xaverian High School. They lived for a week with host families, attended classes at Xaverian, and took public transportation. They explored New York City, from Mass at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and a tour of the Museum of Modern Art to a live taping of the Today Show.
Next fall, students from their Xaverian host families will come to Father Ryan and Nashville for the week, including a Friday Night Lights experience in the Jungle, the Father Ryan student section at our football games. Several students are planning a return trip to New York City this summer to continue the connections fostered during their stay.

Over Spring Break, 11 students and two faculty members traveled to Venice, Florence, and Rome, Italy, as part of our study abroad program. They learned about Italian history, culture, architecture, and food (lots of food!). experiences, with the opportunity to ask questions that matter most to your family.
The group also attended Mass at Basilica Di San Petronio in Bologna, Italy, as one of our 100th Anniversary Masses.
Parochial Math Day
In early March, we hosted 6th-8th-grade math students from ten parochial schools for our annual Math Day. Students competed in Fundamentals, Word Problems, and overall team scores.
