For Morgan and Karis, the journey was long and complicated but also, very special. They first informally met M K in 2013 and later crossed paths again in 2015 after both moving to Atlanta Georgia. & Anastasia Tux

or Morgan and Karis, the journey was long and complicated but also, very special. They first informally met in 2013 and later crossed paths again in 2015 after both moving to Atlanta Georgia.

Karis remarked the first thought she had after seeing Morgan was simple; she was the “finest” thing I ever saw in my life. Karis and Morgan had met while shooting a web series at Morgan’s house, but both had remained hesitant to date following recent breakups.

Morgan explains that Karis is absolutely beautiful both inside and outside. They had resisted the apparent physical attraction between them, but for Morgan’s birthday, Karis invited Morgan to Miami Florida as a birthday present. The two spent 3 days in Miami and on the way back as the weekend ended, the love story began.

I asked Karis to describe what she loves about Morgan and without hesitation she said she’s gentle, sweet, intelligent, and confident. She is very mysterious, and I love her beautiful, mystical eyes.

Morgan responded that Karis was the most talented person that she has ever known. She genuinely added that Karis was considerate, smart, thoughtful loving and truly her best friend. When Karis is feeling down, I rub her back or her feet, I listen if she needs me to listen or I give her space if that’s what she needs. They both agreed that they are “big” on communication.

Before leaving I asked both Morgan and Karis how they dealt with ignorant views against the LGBTQ community. Morgan said, “Be yourself and love yourself. I practice self-love and selfcare and I don’t let other people’s choices sway my own. Karis added, “If you are different, just be different. At the end of the day, you have to live your own life; no one can live it for you.”
