The Kingdom of Morocco was among the first states in the Arab world to recognize the independence of Ukraine, in December 30th, 1991. Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, solid friendly relations based on respect, trust and mutual understanding, were forged between the Kingdom of Morocco and Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian statistics, our bilateral trade volume increased year-over-year, in 2018, by 44.3% and has reached 421.8 Million US$.

It is the development of bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and Ukraine that we are talking about with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador The Kingdom of Morocco in Ukraine H.E. Faouz El Achchabi.

Your country plays a key role in security and stability in North Africa. How can you describe the efforts of the Moroccan diplomacy in this area?

The Kingdom of Morocco maintains a strong commitment to promoting stability, peace and security be it on the international or regional levels. The orientations of the Kingdom of Morocco’s foreign policy converge with the principles of the United Nations.

The participation of Morocco to the efforts of the international community to reinforce the peace and security reflects its adhesion to peaceful conflict resolution and to international law through mediation, contribution to peacekeeping operations, political dialogue and cooperative measures for development.

In this regard, and with the dame spirit Morocco took part in the diverse UN Peacekeeping Operations in Africa, in addition to playing the role of mediator in African conflict resolution.

Morocco’s contribution in this field was particularly appreciated through the mediation of His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, in 2007, at the Rabat Summit held by the UN, aimed at stabilizing the Mano River basin and which gave place to trust measures between countries of the Union, bringing on a new dynamic for peace.

Beside this, the action of Morocco is

also highlighted by its commitment to peace, democracy, combating terrorism, and advancing regional security and development.

As a stable country in a region afflicted by increasing terrorist activity, Morocco is committed to promoting regional security. Its multifaceted approach to countering terrorism doesn’t include only hard security measures, regional cooperation and intelligence sharing, but also measures to counter violent extremism through legislation, democratic reform, inclusive development and the promotion of both a moderate Islam within its borders and in the African Continent and the promotion of serene relations and mutual understanding with other religions.

In this regard, Morocco has launched, in March 2015, the “Mohammed VI Institute for the Training of Imams, Morchidines and Morchidates”, to teach moderate Islam and permit to next generations of Muslim #16, August 2019

religious leaders from across the region to be able to counter extremist interpretations of Islam. This Institute is currently training hundreds imams and mourchidates from Africa and Europe.

The “Foundation for African Oulema”, was also launched, in Morocco in July 2015, as a support for Moroccan and African theologians and scholars in promoting religious tolerance and moderation in the continent.

With regard to migration, and to approach this phenomenon, which is a source of human suffering and insecurity, the Kingdom of Morocco has developed a proactive, considerate and humanistic policy, since it has become in recent years a favorite destination for many illegal migrants from sub-Saharan Africa.

Guided by a spirit of solidarity, and within the framework of its new migration policy based on a humanistic ground, responsible procedures and full respect for the fundamental human rights of migrants and refugees, the Moroccan Government has launched several regularization operations of the situation of thousands of subSaharan citizens.

At the level of cooperatives measures for development, the Kingdom of Morocco has initiated with many African countries a rich and

diverse bilateral cooperation, based on a true partnership and effective cohesion, in addition to various programs of trilateral cooperation.

Deeply rooted in Africa, and considering Africa as its natural home, Morocco has expanded its economic ties and developed strong bilateral relations with many African countries, mainly through trade and investments.

With the important involvement of Moroccan economic operators and their strong engagement, Morocco became a more prominent investor in the African Continent in the areas of banking, insurance, air transport, telecommunications and housing.

The Kingdom which is now the number one investor in West Africa and the second largest investor on the whole continent has signed, since 2000, nearly thousand agreements with African countries, in various fields of cooperation, involving the public as well as the private sector.

How do you assess the current state of bilateral cooperation between our States?

The Kingdom of Morocco was among the first states in the Arab world to recognize the independence of Ukraine, in December 30th, 1991. The Protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of

AMBASSADOR Morocco and Ukraine was signed in New York, on June 22nd, 1992. The Moroccan Embassy in Kyiv opened in July 2000 and the Ukrainian Embassy in Rabat started its activities in October of the same year.

Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, solid friendly relations based on respect, trust and mutual understanding, were forged between the Kingdom of Morocco and Ukraine. In the year 2017, we have commemorated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between our two countries.

To enhance our beneficial cooperation and further develop it for the betterment of our two friendly peoples, high-ranking officials of both sides had many meetings and high level visits where exchanged by both sides.

It is gratifying that our interstate cooperation is built on a solid foundation that has been steadily expanding, encompassing a wide variety of areas of common interest.

We have witnessed more than a quarter century of substantial bilateral relations and multi-faced cooperation between the two countries, with a highlevel political dialogue, close interaction in International Organisations and common vision shared on various regional and international issues.

In the business field, in spite of prised efforts made by business communities of both sides, economic relations between the two countries still remain below the existing possibilities.

According to the Ukrainian statistics, our bilateral trade volume increased year-over-year, in 2018, by 44.3% and has reached 421.8 Million US$. Ukraine has at the same time exported to Morocco cereals (wheat, barley and corn), nonferrous metals, butter, honey, animal feed, vegetable oil, ammonia, paper and cardboard, furniture etc…, while Morocco exports to Ukraine has consisted in the same year of cars, fish, clothing and footwear, electrical equipment etc…

In which spheres can Ukraine be interesting for the Moroccan investors, and Morocco – for the Ukrainian ones?

They are many investment opportunities in Morocco in the industry, solar energy, information and communication technologies, tourism, agriculture, fishing industry, logistics and retail.

In that context, steps were taken towards strengthening the economic cooperation, expanding the legal framework and increasing the peopleto-people contacts between Morocco and Ukraine.

To give a strong impetus to their bilateral cooperation, the two countries have encouraged at the political level the creation of parliamentary friendship groups in their respective Parliaments.

At the civil society level, the Friendship Association between Ukraine and Morocco was launched, in Kyiv, in 2017, at the initiative of the Moroccan Embassy.

The legal framework governing the relations between the two countries includes a wide range of agreements covering many important fields of cooperation, while at the same time many other conventions are being finalized. #16, August 2019

Foreign investors choose Morocco for its privileged geographical location, its cost competitiveness, its strong and stable macroeconomic performances, its free trade access to one billion consumers around the world, its world-class infrastructure, its qualified labor force, its sectorial plans and constantly improving business Climate, its investment incentives and investors protection etc….

Morocco’s Investment and Trade Agency (AMDIE) was created by the Moroccan government to supports and provides to international projects leader high quality services. It provides a professional and free public service to all investors and offers them a wide range of services in order to set up their business in Morocco through a professional team.

There is from the Moroccan side a real interest in developing trade and investment relations with Ukraine. In April 2018, a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Souss Massa Region (south of Morocco), has visited Ukraine and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on cooperation in various fields such as tourism, investment, local products (produits du terroir), agricultural machinery, water management, renewable energies, mining and handicrafts.

Last November, two other Moroccan economic delegations representing the Chamber of Agriculture of the Casablanca-Settat Region and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry

and Services of the Fez-Meknes Region have visited Ukraine and have fruitful meetings with Ukrainian counterparts.

How intensive is cooperation between our countries in the tourism sector?

The field of people-to-people contacts and exchanges is very important and both countries are taking steps to increase them. In recent years, tens of thousands of Ukrainian tourist have visited Morocco.

There is a strong desire from both sides to make their bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector more dynamic through the creation of direct flights between the two countries.

In this regard, a draft agreement on air services is currently under study by competent authorities of the two countries.

The Moroccan National tourist Board, which is the national governmental body in charge of tourism promotion, take part every year in “Ukraine International Travel and Tourism Exhibition”.

Does your Embassy conduct activities aimed at the popularizing of the Moroccan culture in Ukraine?

The Embassy took part and organised many cultural events with the aim of promoting the Moroccan culture in Ukraine, and to give to the Ukrainian people the opportunity to get acquainted with the Moroccan civilisation, culture, traditions, national costumes and handicraft, culinary art and way of life.

AMBASSADOR On the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and Ukraine, the Embassy has organized, in “Ukrainsky Dim”, a cultural event which has for title “the Kingdom of Love”, featuring Moroccan music, dances, national costumes and culture.

Also in last November, the Embassy took part in the charity event “The Parade of Nations 2018”, organized by your esteemed magazine “Fashion of diplomacy”, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Culture and Information Policy.

At the parade, the representatives of the Embassy where wearing traditional Moroccan costumes and a documentary film on the economic and tourist potentialities of the Kingdom of Morocco was showed to the public during this event.

Furthermore, the Embassy participated last December, to the charity event “the 26th Charity Bazaar”, organized annually in Kyiv by the International Women’s Club. Visitors have discovered through the Moroccan booth, the exquisite taste of the Moroccan dishes as well as the amazing beauty of the Moroccan handicrafts.

On the sidelines of the Embassy’s participation to this event, I have presented in an interview to Ukrainian television the many facets and richness of the Moroccan civilisation and culture.

The Embassy contributed in parallel to the success of special programs of some leading hotels in Kyiv, which have decided to serve, for certain periods of time, to their customers inside their restaurants, Moroccan distinctive dishes and delicacies. The Embassy has cooperated with them for the setting up of a typical Moroccan menu.

Representatives of the Embassy took also part to some sport and cultural events organised in Ukraine such as “Wizz Air Kyiv City Marathon” and a chess contest event organised by the Ukrainian Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The Embassy participated also to all “Francophonie” meetings throughout the academic year 2018/2019, dedicated in Ukraine to the French language. The main objective of these meetings was the setting up of an action

plan that mobilizes French language actors in Ukraine as widely as possible on visible operations with the aim of increasing interest for the values of “Francophonie”.

I would like to know your impressions of our country. What do you like the most of all in Ukraine?

The Kingdom of Morocco and Ukraine share numerous similarities. Both countries are not only resolved to carve out a distinguished place for themselves in the international arena and committed to implement substantial reforms in order to create a proper environment for a prosperous economy, but share also other similarities since they have historically witnessed a succession of several civilizations that bequeathed them a tremendous cultural diversity.

This ancestral heritage deeply rooted in history is illustrated by both Moroccan and Ukrainian ethnic diversity, traditions, clothing, music etc…

Since my arrival to Ukraine, I had the chance and the pleasure to discover its wonderful people and its charming culture and beautiful way of life.

The endless beauty of the Ukrainian landscapes and the cities’ magnificent architecture also fascinated me.

Above all, I am very much fascinated by the exceptional Ukrainian People kindness.

A POLITICAL YEAR 2019 WAS FULL OF UNEXPECTED EVENTS IN UKRAINE. THE PRESIDENTIAL RUN WAS COMMENTED BY BOTH UKRAINIAN AND FOREIGN EXPERTS WIDELY AND CONTROVERSIALLY. THAT’S WHY WE’D LIKE TO FOCUS ON WHAT PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS GAVE OUR COUNTRY.

RESULTS OF PRETERM PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS IN UKRAINE: • The party ‘Sluha Narodu’ – 254 • The opposition platform ‘Za zhyttia’ – 43 • The Ukrainian union ‘Batkivshchyna’ – 26 • The party ‘Yevropeiska Solidarnist’ – 25 • The party ‘Holos’ – 20 • Other parties – 10 • Self-nominees – 46

A similar selection is explained not only by the fact that Ukraine is a parliamentary and presidential republic, but mainly by the great number of votes for the presidential political force in the Verkhovna Rada. It’s the first time in the history of Ukraine. Actually, the presidential political force doesn’t need allies for a coalition and can form a government independently, outlining national domestic and foreign policy. At the same time three other parties that entered the Verkhovna Rada can establish the endless number of oppositions or negotiate on the right of cooperation with a mono-majority.

The number of people’s nominees, elected by the first-pastthe-post system, doesn’t affect the distribution of political forces in the parliament. A lot of Ukrainian politics veterans lost the elections including some ideological parties, such as the united nationalistic block, that ran for elections as ‘Svoboda’. The reasons of failures must be analyzed by heads of these political organizations. We’d like to focus on winners.

“Sluha Narodu” This political party hasn’t been treated seriously for a long time. That’s why, the victory of Volodymyr Zelenskyi for a presidential run and the success of his political force turned out to be a real shock for the majority of Ukrainian political elite. Neglecting some unsubstantiated accusations of the party’s inexperience and Russia-friendly sentiments, we’d better pay attention to the fact that ‘Sluha Narodu’ has been elected by the people commonly referred to as ‘young professionals’ in the countries of the European Union and North America. A hefty percentage of the party proponents and parliamentarians is represented by the experts in informational technologies. They’ll determine the main policy of this party, political and economic trends. With respect to the fact that ‘Sluha Narodu’ don’t have enough experience in political and state administration, let us remind you about the presence in this party of experienced people like Andrii Herus, Oleksandr Danyluk and Vadim Prystaiko. They are close to high ranking officials and obtained precious and necessary experience to govern a state. In addition, Bohdan Yaremenko became a member of parliament, a former general consul of Ukraine

in Istanbul, the founder of expert fund on the issues of foreign policy ‘The Square of foreign affairs’, and Iryna Vereshchuk, the president of International centre of Baltic researches and consensus practices. Both Bohdan Yaremenko, and Iryna Vereshchuk are proponents of European vector in the foreign policy of Ukraine.

They both have a rather high level of contacts with the political elite of Western Europe and North America and are going to take part in the formation of Kyiv foreign policy agenda for the nearest five years.

The opposition political platform “Za Zhyttia” The political force entered the Verkhovna Rada employing certain preferences of population in southern and eastern Ukraine.

They are not satisfied with the European integration, decommunization policy, increasing importance of the Ukrainian language in social life and breaking off close relationship with Russia. This political force has limited instruments to influence a flow of parliamentary events and foreign policy agenda.

They will try to do it with inefficient parliamentary demarches and speeches on political TV shows.

The Ukrainian union “Batkivshchyna” Old timers of Ukrainian politics having stable electorate checked by years could make up nothing new.

They only expressed their will to join the formation of government together with «Sluha Narodu». But it hasn’t been heard by parliamentary winners yet. ‘Batkivshchyna’ is one of the oldest national and liberal parties never doubting the European integration of Ukraine. The party list includes experienced policy makers and officials often related to the western (Washington) influence. It deals with a former general consul of Ukraine in the USA and former SBU head Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, a former vice Prime Minister on the issues of European integration Hryhorii Nemyria and a former Minister of Foreign Affairs Borys Tarasiuk who permanently supports the accession of Ukraine to the European Union

and NATO. It shows, for sure, the European aspiration of ‘Batkivshchyna’. We’ll see whether president Zelenskyi will take into account Yuliia Tymoshenko’s appeals for cooperation.

GOVERNMENT OF UKRAINE

The party “Yevropeiska Solidarnist” The fans of the fifth president of Ukraine practically shaped their parliamentary campaign on the basis of achievements during the 5 years term of Petro Poroshenko. It deals mainly with a visa free travel regime with the European Union countries and a creation of international military and political coalition on the support of Ukraine against Russian aggression. In addition, the above mentioned national block failure was presupposed by the election rhetoric of ‘Yevropeiska Solidarnist’ using nationalist statements, such as the building of strong army and refusal from peaceful negotiations with the Russian Federation and its satellites in eastern Ukraine. Most of Ukrainian political environment representatives have a common idea that ‘Yevropeiska Solidarnist’ will carry out a role of principled Ukrainian patriots in the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth term.

The party “Holos” It’s the youngest and smallest Verkhovna Rada political force of the ninth term. Its election success is explained by charisma and popularity of the party leader, a famous musician Sviatoslav Vakarchuk. It’s a pro-European, national and liberal political structure without a strictly formulated ideology. Of course, the party leader participation in Euromaidan 2014 and a litany of his humanitarian trips to the battle fields in eastern Ukraine tell us that neither Vakarchuk, nor his parliament representatives don’t stand for the revision of Constitutional provisions related to the European integration of Ukraine.

The possibility of blocking ‘Holos’ by other parties, as well as to be an opposition to ‘Sluha Narodu’ or a cooperation with this political force remain questionable. The only one thing is

Mrs. Oksana doesn’t run for new parliamentary elections, but she starts doing new things. In the interview, Oksana Bilozir tells “Fashion of diplomacy” about a future project, parliamentary achievements and creative plans.

You didn’t run for new parliamentary elections. What are you going to do?

I was a member of parliament four times.

And when there was an option to be a deputy of Verkhovna Rada again, I realized, that I had to be engaged in some other field. I’m still an active public figure. I feel like working directly with public society. I start cooperating with IMTD international. It’s the American donor organization working with USAID and various charity institutions.

According to their calculations, Ukraine obtained dozens of billions of dollars for the years of independence. One question emerged: “Where is that money? How did it function?”.

Because we don’t have any efficiency. That’s why, all donor help was revised not just for Ukraine, but Georgia, Moldova and other CIS countries including Asian nations. A new organization IMTD was established functioning without mediators.

Grant funds won’t be contributed to any state or public organization, that has a relation to

government bodies. They will flow to a specific person. This program is called “Revitalization of Ukrainian economy through investments in small business”. I’ll be a speaker of this program and main political face. I’m looking forward to beginning of this work. I’ll have an opportunity to meet our people, work and give them hope, stop migration processes.

You had some legislative initiatives in this filed, didn’t you?

I did. A family entrepreneurship bill was one of my last legislative initiatives in the eighth parliamentary term. It focuses on the creation of additional favorable tax field for a Ukrainian family of three members to set up their own business. I’d like our citizens to stay at home doing business instead of going somewhere abroad to earn money. We are trying to invest as much money as possible in this family entrepreneurship. In such a way we encourage people to act here working for yourself and native country. #16, August 2019

What else did you do during this parliamentary term?

I chose a field of human security. We are in high-risk countries waging wars, in particular informational, mental and religious ones. All this stuff is concentrated in Ukraine. That’s why the issue of personal safety inside society must be a part of agenda for every country, government and president. I tried to shape the human security as a system in context of bills I delivered to the parliament for consideration. The human security is a protection of human rights. It means to protect rights for own freedom territory of every person. Bullying counteraction is my key bill in this trend. Any child has the right for safe education environment. Different forms of violence are unacceptable. My next bill in this system was related to mobbing. It’s violent behavior at work. The phenomenon is very widespread in Ukraine. The bill was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. But it was discarded. But we brought up the question.

Inclusion is the next component of human security. Maryna Poroshenko was a pioneer in this sphere. She started with a support of handicapped children. But actually inclusion comprises an incorporation of the certain person to society. That’s why there is a great problem,

that is still pressing. Inclusion also encompasses internally displaced people. These are people who went through ATO (Anti-Terrorist Operation) and their families. The country is still inactive.

We have some sporadic laws, but we don’t have a conceptual vision. That’s why I try to form it. Its three major components are the child, the adult and the families suffered from war. It’s a disease of our society. I’m going forward, I dropped a stone and waves are rising in this system.

Why did you become a politician?

I worked with parties and certain candidates at election districts. I communicated with people.

Voters trusted their votes these people via trust to me. Then I understood, I could work in Parliament more efficient than those I support.

And I decided to try. To understand national processes. I started my studies at Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. That was my second higher education. I got a diploma with honor in two years. And since 1999 year I became an official representative of Yevhen Marchuk who sought the office of President. After that parliamentary elections began. I was acquainted with Petro Poroshenko and Viktor Yushchenko. And Petro Oleksiovych offered Viktor Andriovych to put me in the list. At first, it was the top five. When

I dropped off an application, it was already the 35st place. And when I visited the party congress, I saw myself on the 70th position. But I made it clear for myself that it’s my new political path and I have to step up from the very beginning.

That time “Nasha Ukraina” got 70 mandates.

I realized what a huge responsibility I was going to take. And I see a tendency for a lot of creative thinkers to go to Parliament. They have huge reasonable ambitions, but they don’t fully understand the level of responsibility. And it was the reason why I didn’t want to run for new parliamentary elections.

You were a Minister of culture and tourism. What did you manage to do in office?

I did a transformation. When I began my duties, it was the Ministry of culture and art.

Financing on leftovers. I changed the ministerial philosophy and united it with tourism. I set up a new format of the Ministry of culture and tourism in such a way. We stuck to the principle: art is a temple and tourism is a way to it. That time we established numerous tourist routes and festivals. Genuine national culture, traditions, trades became popular. People started building infrastructure – small hotels, restaurants,

concert halls and fair spaces. A movement was coined inside the country. And it’s one of my biggest achievements, I believe. It’s like throwing a stone and water circles start spreading. Frankly speaking, other successive ministers destroyed everything. But it was impossible to stop the process.

You are an Afghanistan war veteran.

How did it happen?

In Soviet times it was just an obligation.

We were said a lot of boys were there and we had to go to Afghanistan in order to keep their spirits up. And we did that. There were different moments. I was awarded with 4 medals. When the conflict began in Donbass, and I felt like I was in a waking nightmare. I even didn’t think, I’d release hostages in Donbass with boys who were with me in Afghanistan.

Do you often visit a zone of the Joint Forces Operation? It’s a great risk.

I was on a permanent there for half a year.

When it was very hot in 2014–2015 I had a lot of things to do there. At first, I was a volunteer looking for hostages. My aides counted that I released about 326 people. It’s not just coming and taking, I sought for, made up lists, and arranged negotiations. It took me six months. #16, August 2019

I’m just thankful to God for giving me such an opportunity. God protected me because we got stuck in different situations and I felt help.

One of interesting facts in your biography – Order of the Star of Italy?

How did you get it?

I had been in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for ten years. I prepared two reports. I mostly tried to help people. The first report dealt with the labor migration of women to Eastern Europe. I wanted to protect them.

The next report “The new Europe diaspora and the national and intergovernmental response”.

So, I proposed to impose responsibility of host states.

They must protect all rights, namely legal, social, moral, physical and physiological ones. The most important thing was to develop communication between countries to be aware of the number of migrant workers. In this way we could support and protect them.

live in poverty or even in slavery due to some intermediary institutions. People must know that they have a contact to address to and get feedback. And it isn’t in action yet. I worked in this segment. And I had a lot of contacts with Italy, Spain. The protection of migrant workers is a reason why I was awarded with the order.

I’m entitled to wear it together with Ukrainian orders.

UKRAINIAN POLICY MAKERS You are involved not only in uniting Ukrainians inside Ukraine but our diaspora as well. What should the country pay attention to there?

How do you manage to combine your personal life, political career, and creative activity?

I divide them into three groups. Steady diaspora and labor migration. There is even the third group in particular Ukrainians living in indigenous Ukrainian territories. That’s villages and towns, where the Ukrainian language still exists in Poland , Hungary and Slovakia. Another approach should be used for these three groups. Totally different. We don’t have relevant instruments in Ukraine. The worst thing, these three groups have a lack of communication abroad. The Revolution of Dignity slightly united them. The world congress of Ukrainians does its best to unite them.

None of the president has outlined a priority of Ukrainians abroad as a part of foreign policy yet. Nobody gave them an opportunity to feel so that authorities need them not barely in word but truly in specific mechanisms of interaction.

It’s just my life. I like an active way of life. Not the idle one. Show business has never been a job for me. It has always been a realization. A way of culture development. From young to old people know “Ukrainochka”. And it means a lot for me and, I believe, for all my country.

Will you share your creative plans with us?

I’m having new music recorded now. It inspires me so much. I’m working on my new album. On the 23st of August I’ll have a big concert dedicated to the anniversary of “Vatra” under the supervision of Ihor Bilozir. I want Ihor to be awarded with the title Hero of Ukraine posthumously. He deserves it. His songs run around in every Ukrainian house and all over the world. The Ukrainians would be much poor culturally without his musical heritage.

IT’S NOT ENOUGH TO OVERCOME STRESS, IT’S NECESSARY TO FIND A REASON. OTHERWISE A SITUATION WILL HAPPEN AGAIN years ago. Today, the educational center functions in Kyiv.

We discuss new methods of thinking and influence of negative reflections on human development with the academician and “Practical school of tangible development” founder Stanislav Ivanovych Losev and Kateryna Zavialova – an official representative and school teacher in Kyiv.

NEW GENERATION Will you tell us, what is a method of conscious thinking you are engaged in?

Stanislav Ivanovych: All nations in all times dreamt of and dream of an ideal society embracing highly moral people who don’t have ambitions for power, there is no war and hunger.

Intellect, kindness and love are more powerful instead of money values.

Brilliant painters and writers tried to create future images incorporating their mental abilities and inspiration in them. Clever and well educated realists called these theories utopias.

It has always been so. A result of any efforts, similar initiatives was obviously determined. And the reason is single. It’s impossible to establish a new society, grow up a new civilization, even highly technological one with people from the past who have an outdated level of consciousness and old way of thinking.

Negative feelings themselves are a reason of all our life misfortunes, troubles including health problems. 85 % of world population lives in stress. There is a famous psychologist Hans Selie. He says: “If a situation doesn’t change, we’ll have a country of schizophrenics in 50–100 years, everything won’t be so interesting in the long term”. That’s why so many people need the method of conscious thinking. It’s simple.

It doesn’t demand impossible things. It’s just personal work. If you want to change something in your life, it’s necessary to remove your fears, nervousness and negative manifestations. Only you can do that. Nobody can help you, whether you work with yourself, or not.

Kateryna: “Practical school of conscious development” is based on precise knowledge about human brain possibilities. These instruments and practices make possible to work with our feelings and thoughts efficiently removing negativeness. In its turn, it enables to obtain needful positiveness. In other words, it’s a natural transformation of thoughts and emotions leading us to the expected results by inherent means.

There are many institutes of human development, cultures, and proposals for improvement of our world in general. And it’s good. One thing is important. Every person needs to feel calm, safe, cheerful, loved and wanted.

Everyone sometimes feels stress and tension. In such a way, they absorb negative impressions which lead to stresses and other problems. One needs a new way of thinking,

pure thoughts and soul to feel nice. It’s a new culture of thinking and life. And everybody can be a part of it. That’s not just words. Modern science discovered mechanisms of humanity development improvement due to the potential of thoughts and conscious generation of positive feelings.

What inspired you to set up this project?

Stanislav Ivanovych: When I started, I didn’t have any clues about school. At first I did breathing exercises. Then I began to practise. I saw people changing, I’d say even transforming.

That inspired me to keep it up. And I improved the method after 20 years of experience.

I undertook a study obtaining the second education.

A person is suffering not from what is going on with him/her, but how an individual responds to any stimulant. It’s difficult to explain the connection between negative events from past and today misfortunes logically. But the mechanism of these processes was revealed due to researches. At first, information field blocking happens as a result of imperfect way of thinking (images, fears, depression, anger, unwillingness to live). In the course of time, if this blocking isn’t damaged through a situation rethinking, negative programs show up in the form of diseases, troubles with family life, conflicts with children, colleagues, extreme lack of money, new business is going down, debts don’t return back etc.

What instruments one should know to use your methods?

Kateryna: All instruments already embrace 34 items for today. Each time we refine our programs, that’s why instruments add up. But for the beginning, one should master two points: a therapy of key words and reconsideration of relations with a negative person or situation.

According to our method, there are precise key words that can remove any negative mental tension. Our brain can’t bear and put up with monotony. So, the excessive monotony is harmful, and the dosed one is able to get rid of any negative program.

Our method is famous in Ukraine, Australia, Greece, Britain, America, France, Italy and many other countries. There are more and more curious people who try and acquire results. I can’t say, that it’s a panacea, bit I can assure when a person works, he/she obtains a result. #16, August 2019

NEW GENERATION What does an education program start with?

Stanislav Ivanovych: The education program begins with the first Basic level encompassing 10 instruments. What do they give? An opportunity to work with negative emotions on one’s own, not important if it’s relations, career development, a new product launch.

The next level is training “Work with a generation”. Almost everybody who covers this level starts comprehending a key problem coming from relations with parents. People are aware of these peculiarities very well saying: – “A grievance against Father – a grievance against God. A grievance against Mother – a grievance against Earth”. Psychology states, if a girl holds an offense against his father, possible family and intimate troubles can occur. But if she holds a grudge against her mother, financial problems can show up. They harm a self-realization. It’s vice versa for men. Difficult relations with father often cause an empty wallet and tense relations with mother lead to difficulties with a personal life.

So, we’ve got the following conclusion – you need to reconsider all your relations, not from a mental position, but addressing to your subconsciousness. You get rid of negative stuff filling yourself with positive things at the same time. And this positive energy and behavior open up new horizons in your work, both in personal life and career.

There is also one more interesting training, so called Self-healing. A person reaches deepness of subconsciousness and gets high results according to the current enquiry.

So, let us call this method “Work with human psychology”. Do practical psychologists use it?

Stanislav Ivanovych: Of course, it’s work with human psychology. What about psychologists, they work with human subconsciousness, some of them use general methods. But others seek for new ways of problems resolution. Extremely important problems that are constantly evolving.

Our method is groundbreaking. Owing to it, each person understands how to find a solution without a psychologist’s help. I’ll explain in a more detailed manner. Observing numerous trainings, we see that a person gets a portion of endorphin, a so called hormone of happiness. It targets at the mobilization of internal resources.

However, coming back home, an individual loses this artificial feeling and gets down to their usual nervous disposition, that is really evident.

There appears a need again to visit a training or psychologist for a hormone of happiness.

Our method is in charge of changing this trend. Via regular negative programs, this method helps a person to create and activate his own hormone of happiness that has a permanent character, since a feeling of cheerfulness arises peculiarly inside of us. Mastering the method, people get instruments they can use independently employing all this knowledge in their life: parents and children, personal life, self-realization, a financial sphere or any other issue. As it was mentioned before, this method is not typical for psychologists. That’s why it’s not so widely used. But practical psychologists have already proceeded to our method lately.

In such a way, they popularize it. That can’t but please us.

This method is your work or already a way of life?

Stanislav Ivanovych: I’m 74 years old. I lived an interesting life. I used to be a writer, journalist, did business, found my own. But when I tried this, I realized that I found myself.

When a person understands what he lives for, what it’s necessary to do carrying out own tasks, that’s the biggest value. For this aim, God created a body, Earth and all conditions for your development. People often say, they don’t really know what to do in their life. And I answer them: – If you talk about money, do what brings money or what you love. If it deals with a soul, you need to figure out what task you’ve got…

Practically nobody knows their mission. We have a special training «A human mission» for this aim. Covering this course, an individual begins to understand what he lives for.

This knowledge we acquire year by year, being adults trying to remove any problem, they get from the moment of their birth. Each person on the Earth has a need to feel safety, love, cheerfulness and other positive emotions.

Finally it’s time when the whole humanity must comprehend, that people themselves are responsible for their lives. It means we can rely on saying: Do as you would be done by! So, you must be conscientious and monitor your feelings.

In case of a need, correct them immediately.

Kateryna: I’ve already been working in this sphere for 6 years. For this time I have clearly understood people’s need for these

NEW GENERATION instruments, especially under today’s conditions. That’s why we live every day and feel different emotions, unfortunately, they aren’t always positive. Some of these people get rid of stress in a various way. Somebody communicates with the most important people aggressively, somebody removes stress absorbing in work and not understanding that’s an illusion, but not a solution. Sometimes it leads to fatal cases, such as alcoholism, drug abuse and even suicide. But there is another way – an ability to change things you don’t like on your own modifying your attitude to them and finally obtaining a long-expected positiveness via the usage of instruments. It means a biological method of negative programs removal.

We have developed a new project “New thinking” recently.

From our perspective, it’ll help each person and the whole country to be happy. A happy person is a happy nation and government!!!

Kateryna: In Kyiv our trainings we deliver on the premises of “The Kyiv History Museum”.

Of course, there are also online lectures and trainings. People living in regions of our country and abroad can see a timetable of lessons on the website and get online classes. The practical school of conscious development functions in different countries around the globe inspiring people to be more conscious owing to the results they obtain within the biological method of negative programs removal in their lives.

We have additional VIP trainings – “Second birth”, “Money and success”, “Who wears pants in your house?”. They last for 10 days. Soon we’ll have a seminar in Italy, then in Greece, the Carpathians and on the shore of the Black Sea near Odessa. A timetable of these classes is also available on the website.

What are your future plans?

Stanislav Ivanovych: I plan to spread this knowledge as much as possible all over the world. If people get an opportunity to offset stresses on their own, we can have a rather solid person who will be able to create a happy world around and as a result to form a powerful and developed country.

Samchykivskyi painting is a kind of Ukrainian decorative housing art of South-Eastern Volyn The extraordinary painting has been revived and spread throughout Ukraine and abroad recently. Today we speak to Iryna Chyrkova, a leader of art initiative ‘UAMAZE. A CHARMING WORLD OF UKRAINIAN ART’.

‘When we figured out, that only 4 people know this technique in Ukraine and the painting itself is on the verge of decay because the youngest painter is 48 and the oldest one is 79 years old. We realized at once this field deserves a special attention.’ – Mrs. Iryna says.

Mrs. Iryna, you are involved in a very difficult business today. You popularize our cultural heritage in particular Petrykivskyi and Samchykivskyi paintings. Will you be more specific concerning this culture and art?

UAMAZE is an art initiative that contributes greatly in order we can reveal the best Ukrainian decorative art items both in Ukraine, and worldwide. Our art initiative has been in action almost 10 years but we discovered

the unbelievable and colorful Samchykivskyi painting 3 years ago. It is a kind of traditional national art of South-Eastern Volyn. It is typical for the village Samchyky of Khmelnytskyi Region. We were shocked when it turned out only 4 craftsmen deal with this technique.

The youngest expert had 48 years old and the oldest one had 79 years old. For a few years we managed to implement numerous projects related to paintings. Owing to mutual activity with craftsmen, nearly 70 successors appeared.

Last year we got an idea to transform village

houses into painted stuff. We worked out a project supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Fund. We were awarded with the grant and the village turned to the art attraction. Now each tourist coming to Samchyky can get acquainted not only with the historical and cultural place but have walks around the unique village where painted houses are created by skilled painters.

In addition, we have a school and workshops of Petrykivskyi and Samchykivskyi paintings for different age groups. Moreover, we produce Ukrainian souvenirs setting up new trends for such goods.

It means you arrange art tours to the village Samchyky. What unique things can any tourist observe there?

Yes, we arrange art tours to the unique village Samchyky and exhibitions in contemporary interactive formats. Samchyky is known not only as a native land of painting but a museum Samchyky with unique architecture. It is a palace of matured classicism with some empire elements of 1790 years surrounded by the park ensemble of 18–19 centuries. The park has 250 kinds of trees and bushes. Nowadays each visitor of art tour can participate in the Samchykivskyi painting workshop together with one of three existing craftsmen. You can have an excursion #16, August 2019

ART IN UKRAINE with the ornament of Petrykivskyi and Samchykivskyi paintings. All goods have high quality. A craftsman gives all his soul in every item. Corporate orders from big state and commercial institutions have turned up lately. Each of them we process separately. Let me give you an example.

Before Easter we developed a unique corporate order for the company, it included a big painted plate, three easter eggs and Easter Cup Cake. All the things were packed in the big bright box. Of course, when people got such a present they were impressed. Let me mention that it is very inspiring to introduce Ukraine on such a level. STYLISH UKRAINE

The modern Ukrainian fashion industry is experiencing dramatic transformations. The Ukrainian trading guild holds that the domestic market of clothes and shoes has emerged from the recession and is growing fast about 15–20 % a year.

In addition, the number of pioneer Ukrainian brands is growing up for 1–3 % annually. Today, the Ukrainian designer and brand founder Ruslana Verlos tells us about a new clothes style “Clothes-Transformer” and the development of new brand VERLOS.

drawing, modeling… I did it by intuition. And I managed to do it. All of this inspired me to create something new on a regular basis. My friends stayed in line so that I would sew them a suit or skirt. Short capri pants were trendy that time.

And, of course, I did it with pleasure. It’s probably my mission. Because even today I’m constantly designing something new, giving impulses for the formation of new style, new fashion. It’s my life.

What do you think a Ukrainian style is?

From my perspective, the Ukrainian style is forming gradually, but with confidence as well as our native fashion industry. Ukrainian designers are known worldwide, respected and loved in Europe, America. And globally, we are already needful. Our stuff is creative, qualitative and rather specific.

Ruslana, you are involved in the fashion industry, you are a Ukrainian designer, and it’s a challenging business for the Ukrainian market as well. What induced you to deal with fashion?

I’ve loved fashion industry since my childhood. My first steps as a designer were taken at school. I sewed my first items having no idea about garment construction, pattern

Our culture and traditions are rich. That’s why it’s a plentiful source of inspiration! Moreover, our Ukrainian culture encourages the creation of masterpieces not only by a Ukrainian origin. The icons of fashion industry such as Valentyno, Gucci, Galliano and Gotye permanently use elements of the national Ukrainian costume. They presented some Ukrainian elements in their collections. A famous New-York designer Prabal Gurung and Gareth Pugh from Paris showed their Ukrainian amazons.

So, our history is endless inspiration to create a new masterpiece. That’s why I would say that the Ukrainian style is the history of Ukraine, whereas the traditions and culture are a Ukrainian soul. That’s the things we attract the world by!

What are the main ingredients for success in this business?

This issue is always pretty difficult for any designer, because if you are a creator, you are not a business person. But when you become a dyed-in-the-wool entrepreneur, you don’t have enough time to focus yourself on creativity, you don’t have a chance to listen to your intuition to create a trendy, stylish and unbelievable collection.

I was lucky. I’ve got a very professional team. We clearly concentrate our attention on everything that is going on in the world – the appearance of new items, the technologies of textile fabric production. We’re constantly following tendencies of the global fashion industry development. In such a way we predict our collection for two years ahead. In particular, we anticipate what a person pays attention to, what clothes a client feels like wearing next year or two.

That’s why, I think, there are the following constituents: 1 – you need to feel fashion personally. 2 – you need to have a professional team. 3 – you need to learn permanently in order to keep pace with the trend.

I always learn some new things; even now I’ve entered the Institute of art on the Specialty of Fashion Prediction. Knowledge is great power.

I am still walking after this motto.

Is it a business or hobby for you?

Fashion is a part of me. If I were asked what I wanted to do in the next life, I’d answer: “The same what I’m doing now” it’s my life! It’s my love!

Your style is extravagant and rather creative. What inspired you to create a collection Clothes-Transformer?

As I have already said, I always like doing something new. Our world is developing very rapidly now. You always move. Since morning you have to wear a business style and you can have an unexpected meeting tonight. That’s why I’d like to present a collection of clothes transforming into different styles, so as one thing can serve as a small wardrobe. It’s the collection Clothes-Transformer. For example, a dress from our collection transforms into three images. If you put on a complete set, it is a long dress, you can unfasten the bottom line and it is already a shorter dress. If you unfasten sleeves, it is already a sleeveless image, more athletic style. When you fasten the bottom line again,

it is already the fourth image. We have autumn clothes in such a style, for example, a hood coat can be turned into a few variants: a long and short jacket, a shortened hood coat. Then with a light move, we combined all the components and you have a complete long stylish coat. A principle is the same with other collection items, where one thing can transform into a few images. It’s comfortable and pretty usable.

The label of your brand “VERLOS” is your last name. You are setting up a family business your successors will continue or vice versa you keep a family tradition?

My family has always had creative people. I remember my father being a journalist designed and constructed a few buildings in different cities of Ukraine. It means I have the same DNA code. #16, August 2019

And I myself try to predict most suitable kind of clothes for the modern society. I try to see and feel the behavior of humanity and offer everybody comfortable and stylish clothes.

My son shares my views on the development of our brand and gives me very precious tips used during work. That’s why I can say that I’m establishing a family business. I hope to be the same further.

Will you tell us about your next collection?

I love white color with its fascinating shades.

It’s like a clean sheet of paper you can draw your own thoughts on. I guess the next collection will be «painted» in white. And everything can be transformed in the course of work. There are no limits for creativity.

You have a collection of shirts for women with sacred prints or lettering.

Are you going to create anything like that for men?

I’m so interested in shirts, especially in white ones. It seems to be just a white shirt. A typical classical choice! But nevertheless I was eager to create something new. I observed people, their wishes to draw something on body, the things that will inspire them in life. An idea popped

into my head to design a collection of shirts with sacred prints. These images are embroidered on the transparent cloth.

When you put on this shirt it’s as if you got a tattoo. But tomorrow you have a chance to try on another vital statement. The letterings like “Born to be first”, or “Destiny helps courageous people”, or “Great power of love” charge with positive emotions throughout the time. I’d like the people wearing our shirts to be always in good mood and transmit the surroundings their message.

Our customers always ask us whether we have such shirts for men. But it’s more intricate with statements for men, because they are more reserved by themselves. That’s why we are on track to design a collection of shirts for men. I hope we present it soon.

What are your future plans?

We are planning a lot of interesting events.

We are looking for new opportunities to expand our workshop and our brand. We are going to arrange a big fashion show Clothes-Tranformer.

We are planning to design a new collection Spring-Summer 2020. Of course, we always travel and learn. We have got a lot of things to do ahead of us. That’s why we promise to keep on being creative and make people stare.

Diplomatic Golf Cup PUSHES THE BOUNDARIES OF GOLF IN UKRAINE The prize-fund of the current tournament “Diplomatic Golf Cup 2019 – Tolerance” includes 300 thousand UAH for buying an apartment in the residential complex “Bulvar Fontaniv”, helicopter flights, diamonds, exclusive jewelry, valuable presents from partners and GENUINE JEWELRY CUPS.

Guests and participants of “Diplomatic Golf Cup 2019 – Tolerance” could highly appreciate fantastic winning emotions in the field, pricey gifts and an unbelievable contest. This year the event took place under the auspices of the United Arab Emirate’s Embassy in Ukraine for the year of Tolerance.

The tournament gathered busy players from Ukraine and abroad. About 90 athletes struggled for championship. More than 250 VIP guests visited the event. Our coverage draws a line around peculiarities of such a large-scale occurrence arrangement, a fortunate winner who got the exclusive Diplomatic Golf Cup and the one who obtained 300 thousand UAH for buying an apartments and valuable gifts.

June, 15 the golf club “Gulf Stream” met its guests at 7 a.m. The tournament organizer Anna Avramenko greeted them.

— We are pretty surprised by the number of people wishing to be involved in the game, – Mrs. Anna said. – We popularize sports, our country and our achievements on a regular basis. The tournament serves as a means of being closer to diplomats, business, scientists, diaspora representatives, artists and statesmen.

Here, everybody has equal chances for victory and opportunities to attain their goals, such as: sharing an idea with others, meeting new friends and partners, revealing new hobbies. Our tournament doesn’t have losers. Every club visitor in this heat is obviously a winner. And a certificate for 300 thousand UAH, diamonds and other valuable presents are an extra impetus to believe in victory and own potential. I’m very thankful to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Ukraine for international support and believing in us.

While tournament, all comers could participate in golf clinics and try their hand at this kind of sports. The lessons were held under the supervision of Kyiv golf club “Gulf Stream” professional coaches. In the meantime, the guests had talks, acquainted with one another and the event sponsors who promoted their companies, services, goods etc.

— I’ve been playing golf since 12 years old.

I still can’t believe. It’s my best game in this field. I’ve never played in such a manner before, – said Oleksandra. – Golf is 100 percent my game. Increased charge of energy and positiveness. I like people I play with. I learn from them when playing.

And I started with such a contest like today. That time my mother and I came to the club and we were proposed to be engaged in a golf clinic. I started training permanently. That’s why such events are so needful. I wish I could win one of world championships.

Volodymyr Hintov was a prize-winner in the championship of Ukraine. He’s been playing for 2 years.

— That’s prominent victory for me. Emotions are running high. I couldn’t believe at once that I won. – said Volodymyr. – Friends encouraged me to play golf. And today I don’t imagine my life without this game.

The main referee Mykola Proskurov was pleasantly impressed by the tournament results.

— Golf is a democratic game. The present tournament format enables different level players to play on equal terms. And we see the results, – Mykola Proskurov mentions. – Today’s tournament embodies a celebration. Such events popularize golf.

How to teach an ordinary person golf ? You can’t just take your golf stick and go out onto the field. That’s why you need schools where people can try this kind of sports.

Many of novices keep on doing golf. Golf isn’t just a game. It’s communication. It’s a life style. You’ve got to try only.

— This is the first time I’ve been at this tournament. My friends took part in the lottery. They had to go earlier and left their tickets. We agreed to share a prize, – Yurii jokes. – And here 300 thousand. So I already have 150 thousand if they feel like buying a flat. It’s wonderful atmosphere right here. This tournament is a favorable beginning. People are joining our sport.

I observed golf clinics here today. It would be difficult to develop golf in Ukraine without such contests. This sport is very popular worldwide. I hope in future it will be equally beloved by people who like football. We’re running short of time. People spend so much time on work. Everybody has got a strict agenda including rest, vacation, leisure time and days of work. It’s not easy to offer them something new. But if they are interested in something new, that’s really cool. I’m going to participate in this tournament next year. I’ll try once again. I’ve been doing sports all my life. I used to play tennis, I was keen on mountain skis, we went skiing annually. And now golf replaced everything. This sport is number one in my life. Lottery is like an extra bonus here. – Mr. Yurii says.

Diplomatic Golf Cup left nobody indifferent. The show program had a peculiar effect. It was arranged by a stage director Petro Avramenko, Honored Artist of Ukraine. A band of drummers Drum Art Show opened up the event. A duet ViArt impressed guests. Visitors felt unforgettable emotions at the fashion show of the Ukrainian brand “VERLOS”. The show program culminating point was a performance of “Showband Madame jojo’s”, visited us from Europe.

— Photos and memory keep emotions. Out team will work on expanding the tournament 2020, – Anna Avramenko says.
