Since 1984, Johnny Reb has travelled far & wide across Australia, on the feet & shoulders of Aussie road warriors. Once just a small fish in a big pond, Johnny Reb soon raced ahead & became an iconic label in the Aussie motorcycle fraternity. A brand that encapsulates the true Australian lifestyle which has grown and developed over the years to stand and ride on its own.

In 2016 Johnny Reb was taken over by two mates from Melbourne, Australia - in the hopes of expanding a small leather footwear brand into a motorcycle clothing brand that Aussie’s could look to, for all of their riding gear needs. Now owned & operated from their Mount Waverley Office, it was important for the owner to carry on the brands’ traditional craftsmanship & Aussie spirit.

Over the last few years, the Johnny Reb range has widely expanded into leatherwear, performance clothing, protective clothing, casual wear & riding accessories. With the brand still priding itself on the same values, all these years later; making high quality, hardwearing products that are built to stand the test of time.

Stocked in over 150 stores & dealerships across the country, Johnny Reb is proud to still be such an iconic staple in the Aussie motorcycle community.

PROTECTIVE GEAR

Over the past few years Johnny Reb’s Protective gear range has grown rapidly & fast become part of our core range.

Johnny Reb is nothing without it’s riders, and we are proud to be a big part of the Aussie riding community. Out on the open road there is something that binds all of us together, no matter where you’re from or what you’re riding. Every single person that throws on a piece of our Johnny Reb gear is one of us. We take our family seriously, which is why safety has become such a huge part of our range.

Drawn up & designed in our Melbourne office, our aim is to not only make each piece look great, but to keep you protected from the Aussie elements.

Every piece of our protective gear is lined with DuPont™ Kevlar® Fiber. Our shirts & jackets are lined from the neck, down to the sleeve cuffs. And our protective riding jeans & pants are lined at crucial points, such as the seat, thighs & knees.

A strong synthetic fiber, originally used as a replacement for steel in racing tires, created in the 70’s. These days it is spun into fabric to create a high strength material, perfect for added protection on the open road.

We also include armour with almost all of our protective gear. This includes a foam backplate that slides easily into an inner back pocket, as well as CE Level 1 armour for your elbows & shoulders in a jacket/shirt and for your knees in our pants range.

Leather riding boots was where it all started over 39 years ago. With the Johnny Reb ‘Classic Long’ boot becoming an iconic staple in the moto community. It’s classic, leather harness design stood its ground and has held a top spot in today’s riding culture.

Johnny Reb leather vests & jackets followed a few years ago, with Johnny Reb now holding Australia’s largest riding vest range. Designed in-house in our Melbourne office, each piece of leather gear is carefully handcrafted.
