Whirlwinds of News from the Heart of Celestia!

Whispers of a golden green glitterstorm have swept across Celestia in the aftermath of a glitternado. Several readers have been in touch to share their stories and photos of green glittering flying flecks. Our favourite shows the fluttery mountains flittering with sparkles. We’re waiting to hear what caused this shimmering snowstorm but want to know what YOU think. Get in touch with The Weekly Weathervane via SnapSky to share your thoughts.

Chaos has descended on the Rising Bun Bakery as we monitor a breaking news story about the first ever unexploded rumblebun.
Baker Slap’s famous chuckles turned to concern yesterday afternoon after the bun showed no sign of erupting all day. This reporter was advised not to head on over this morning after The Weekly Weathervane learnt that Wind Weatherlings have spent all evening using wind instruments to create a breeze big enough to get the bun bopping. We’ve now been told only a tornado can take-down this pesky pastry. In the meantime, Slap and Streak have set-up a temporary shop by the Sun Citadel so that you can still get your favourite flaky desserts.

Cloud Nine’s silver lining is in a tangle . . . again!
Can you help Cloudia Grey find the correct lining so she can fix it?

Ever wondered what it’s like to munch on a heavenly drizzle-pickle sandwich?

Add some extra tang to your day with this whimsical snack – the perfect lunchtime pick-me-up on a gloomy day.

2 slices of bread (we prefer ours from the Dripping Down Village, but you can get yours closer to home)

A swirl of Cloud-Cow butter

3 plump drizzle-pickles, freshly soaked in dew drops
METHOD
Take your bread to the nearest Rain Weatherling and get them to splosh it. If you can’t find a Rain Weatherling, dip your slices in a puddle until they glisten. Once you’re happy, swirl a generous helping of Cloud-Cow butter on both pieces of bread and layer the drizzlepickles on top. Gently press the two slices of bread together and enjoy!
Dear Coo-La-La,
Whenever I step out on a windy day, my hair gets so ruffled that I end up looking like a startled stormbird by the time I get to work. How can I keep my locks intact against the blustering breezes?
—Tangled Tresses
Dear Tangled Tresses,
I’ve never personally experienced a bad hair day, but I know a lot of people who have. To tame those tempestuous tufts, twirl three times counterclockwise before you step into the breeze. The wind will think you’re a fellow gale and glide right past you.
Remember, a little ruffle now and then keeps life exciting.
Coo-La-La
