Located in the vibrant North Side of Pittsburgh, Nova Place is a 30-acre mixed-use urban redevelopment of the former Allegheny Center Mall. Nova Place offers unique private meeting spaces for cocktail parties, corporate events, tech talks, launches, retreats, conferences, and so much more. Our flexible spaces offer the ideal location for all your event needs.

Recently modernized, the Nova Place property is steeped in rich history, home to prominent companies such as H.J. Heinz and Westinghouse, alongside the greatest visionaries of the time - Andrew Carnegie, Gertrude Stein, and John Pitcairn. The North Side once and always was a landmark of great innovation.

Nova Place is an oasis in the heart of the City, just a stone's throw away from Downtown, conveniently located at the confluence of all major roadways and mass transit routes, with unparalleled proximity to hotels, stadiums, restaurants, and other cultural destinations unique to Pittsburgh.

The Nova Place events team will be on hand throughout, providing guidance and support from inquiry to completion. Our experienced coordinator takes pride in attending to the finest details, helping you create your dream event.

Our tailor-made services ensure your special occasion becomes a treasured memory. Our spaces are also available for photography and filming, providing stunning backdrops and atmosphere. Ample on-site parking is available in the Nova Place Garage with a special flat rate of $5 for events happening after 4pm. All rentals include:

Built for presentations, live webcasts, tech talks, and seminars of any kind, our unique tiered-seating auditorium has the capacity for 140 people with the flexibility to add additional seats to the floor. The auditorium has a built-in digital projector with a dropdown screen, sound and audio through the lobby and auditorium, use of three microphones (lapel, podium, and handheld), and complimentary access to electricity and Wi-Fi for attendees. *Rentals include 30 minutes of set-up pre-event and 30 minutes tear down post-event.

The Lobby at Alloy 26 is a stunning social area just outside the Auditorium. Providing a large open space, the Lobby is perfect for attendees to network at hightop tables, catch up with a colleague in the lounge area, or to enjoy food and libations at our spacious bar.

Commonplace Coffee is conveniently attached with the ability to arrange coffee service and much more to tempt you including specialty teas and delicious homemade cakes.

The newly renovated outdoor Plaza is the perfect spot for picnics, weddings, and casual social events. Play cornhole on the patio, toss a frisbee in the grass, host an evening reception under the fully lit pergola, or take your party over to the beer garden at the acclaimed Federal Galley, all located right on the Plaza for a seamless affair.

Connected to Buhl Park, your guests will have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area and experience the beauty of the North Side.

Every part of the Nova Place Concourse can be easily transformed to fit any vision, providing a completely customizable venue that can match all of your needs. Our state-of-the-art renovations and unique interiors offer amenities and flexibility unrivaled by traditional event venues.

The infrastructure in the Concourse offers 23kV of power from overlapping electrical grids and 125lbs per SF floor load capacity, handling even the most extraordinary event requirements. *Rentals include 60 minutes of set-up pre-event and 60 minutes tear-down post-event.

Yes, you may provide catering for your event. We have an open-vendor policy. We do not have an on-site kitchen. Prepared food must be provided by a licensed catering service or restaurant.

Alcohol is permitted. You may bring your own alcohol but it must be served by an insured bartending service. A certificate of insurance must be provided by your bartender. No alcohol sales are permitted.

R E Q U I R E D ?

General liability insurance is required for large events, and any time alcohol is served regardless of the number of attendees. Please verify with the events manager regarding the liability coverage needed for your event. Your certificate of insurance must be provided to the events manager prior to your event date.

Check with the insurance carrier at your organization to see if a rider can be added to your existing liability policy.
