Online Registration Many of our activities are available for online registration. Visit our online registration site at farmersbranchliving.com
Register on Time Although participants may still enroll after a class begins, families are encouraged to enroll in a timely manner. Waiting until the last minute might result in the class you want being full, or if enrollment is low, the class may be canceled. Registration can be done online, in person, or over the phone.
Youth class registration begins May 1 for June, July, and August classes for residents and members. Non-residents who are non-members may register for classes one week prior to the start of each session.
All class fees are based on a four-week session per month unless otherwise noted. Classes affected by holidays and other conflicts may be prorated. See instructor or a front desk staff member for details.
Holidays may affect class schedules. Check with a staff member for details. Cash, checks, American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa are accepted as forms of payment.
Only registered participants may enter the activity area. Pre-registration is required for all classes. The enrollment minimum must be met for a class to make. Refunds are available only before a class has started and with approval. To request a refund, contact a front desk staff member. A credit may be issued in place of a refund. Class fees are not prorated based on late enrollment or non-attendance. At the instructor’s discretion, participants may be able to make up a class.
Financial assistance is available to qualifying Farmers Branch residents for a variety of activities at the Community Recreation Center and Aquatics Center. See staff for information on how to qualify. A maximum of $100 per child (up to age 18), per fiscal year (OctoberSeptember) may be received. Financial assistance is limited to one class per session, per child. Payment of 50 percent of class fee is due at time of registration. Ask about financial assistance for supplies as well!
Childcare is offered for children ages six months to nine years. Kids Zone hours are Monday and Wednesday 9 - 11 a.m. | Monday-Thursday 5:30 - 8 p.m. Saturdays 7:45 - 10:35 a.m.
The cost per child is $2 per visit. There is a two-hour maximum stay. Reservations are required by 4 p.m. the business day prior and are limited. Reservations are accepted up to 2 days in advance.
A liability waiver and childcare form must be completed and on file for each child. Every child must be signed in and out each time the child visits Kids Zone.
Parent must remain at the Recreation Center or Aquatics Center while child is in care. Children may not attend if they are ill. Approved staff/child ratios will be followed. Doors must remain closed when children are present. All personal items must be labeled. No peanut products allowed. Payment for childcare services is made at the Recreation Center’s front desk prior to entering the Kids Zone.

Whether you are looking for the fun of Zumba or the challenge of Indoor Cycling, we offer a Flex Fitness class that meets your needs. Flex Fitness classes are included at no cost with your Fitness membership. Classes do not meet on holidays.

Why just bike when you can Bike & Burn? This class is the best of both worlds. The first part builds cardiovascular strength and endurance with low impact, highly efficient indoor cycling. The class is limited to 12 participants. No class on the last full week of the month.

Interval styled training that emphasizes building strength and endurance. A functional movement, co-ed class that will help you shed the pounds in a high energy, collaborative environment. Summer Funshine is a recreational day camp for children 6-12 (as of May 25, 2023). The program meets 7 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays from May 25-August 9* (excluding May 29 and July 4) at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center. Activities include swimming, character development, arts and crafts, fitness programs, and much more. Activities include volunteering with the Animal Adoption Center, Historical Park, Parks Projects, The Branch Connection, Aquatics Center, and other special projects/events. Other activities include swimming, fitness activities, and themed parties. Free breakfast and lunch are provided through the C-FBISD’s Summer Food Service Program when available (June 5 – July 20). From beginners to advanced basketball players, we provide comprehensive skill development as well as essential strength and condition from certified and degreed professionals. Athletes will also receive training on the Vertimax system to improve speed, power, explosiveness, and vertical jumping administered by certified Vertimax trainers.
The program allows for 5 hours per week of training or 20 hours per month. The time is allotted to solidify skill and strength development for participants which is achieved through high quality reps and program intensity. The Farmers Branch Aquatics Center offers a variety of swim lessons for a wide range of ages and abilities. Not all levels are offered at all times. All participants must be registered before entering the swim area. Guests not potty trained must wear a swim diaper.

The Branch Connection is an Active Adult Center that provides dances, fitness, art, crafts computer, garden, book and photo classes. Our facility offers a fitness room, board games, puzzles, cards, billiards, table tennis, educational seminars and bingo as part of our amenities. With over 22,400 square footage and individual rooms, our facility and programs are geared toward meeting the physical, mental, social, and emotional needs for individuals 50 years of age and better.
The Branch Connection is open to anyone 50 years of age or better. A variety of activities and special events are offered to promote fun, fellowship and health.

Annual Membership fees: Resident $25 / Non-resident $50 The fee can be paid on a monthly electronic bank draft or credit card draft of $2.50 or $5 per month.
The Branch Connection will begin a renovation that will bring a sophisticated new interior the facility. Updates will include a new entry, updated game room, theatre room and coffee bar. The renovation will cost approximately $2.5 million and is funded through federal American Rescue Program Act.
The renovation is expected to take 6-8 months to complete, during that timeframe a select number of TBC programs will continued to be offered at alternative locations. All-inclusive playground equipment, park space, basketball courts, tennis courts and restrooms are open to the public. Rental of the garden includes electricity and a beautiful setting to create your unique event. All rentals at the garden are of a non- exclusive nature.
