CITIZEN COLLECTION CENTER NOW CLOSED
The Citizen Collection Center closed on September 29; however, residents can still access the resources below for their waste disposal needs.
• Brush and Bulk Items: Residents will continue to receive curbside service.
• Special Waste Pickup: Residents can schedule a pickup for car/boat batteries, vehicle tires, glass/mirrors, motor oil and oil filters by calling 972-919-2613.
• Cooking Oils and Grease: Residents can visit Dallas College, located at 3939 Valley View Ln. in Farmers Branch.
• Electronics and Hazardous Waste: Residents can visit the Dallas County Household Hazardous Waste Facility, located at 11234 Plano Rd. in Dallas.
NEW MANSKE LIBRARY HOURS EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 1
Starting next month, Manske Library’s new facility hours will go into effect.
• Sundays: 1 - 5 p.m.
• Mondays-Thursdays: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
• Fridays and Saturdays: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Day of the Dead is a celebration of life and death. Join us as we welcome back and honor the souls of our deceased loved ones.
The event will feature a beautiful community altar in the Old Church, where attendees can pay respect and celebrate beloved family and friends. Notecards, candles and flowers will be provided to place on the altar. Attendees are also invited to bring duplicate photos or mementos to lay at the community altar to honor their loved ones.
Event activities include musical and dance performances, Lotería, kids’ crafts and an air brush artist. Festival food and beverages will be available for purchase.

SOCIETY PRESENTS A GRAND ASSAULT OF ARMS

Join us for a public exhibition of 19th-century fencing matches from members of the Victorian Fencing Society, using various fencing weapons to determine a champion. Visitors are invited to cheer for their champions, ask questions and take photos of the events.
During Bulk Pickup Week, November 4-8, the Green Grabber will pick up bulk items such as furniture, large appliances, and other items that cannot be placed in a garbage bag. For more information, visit farmersbranchtx.gov/brushbulky.
Have an unpermitted garage conversion? Now’s your chance to make it official without penalties. The City offering a limited-time amnesty program for garage conversions that were completed before July 16, 2024. To skip the fines and the need to rebuild your garage, just apply and pay a $100 fee. Holiday Craze is a recreational day camp offered by the Parks and Recreation Department. The program includes on-site activities, entertainment, field trips and much more.
