2024 SEASON BEGINS APRIL 13 AT THE HISTORICAL PARK
The award-winning outdoor concert series Denton Drive Live! is back for a fifth season and will once again feature some of the state’s premier tribute bands.

The Elton Johns will kick off the 2024 season on Saturday, April 13 at 6:15 p.m. with an unforgettable music experience, complete with costumes and a string quartet, followed by Beatles tribute band Hard Night’s Day at 8:30 p.m. This year, due to upcoming road construction, Denton Drive Live! will be hosted at the Farmers Branch Historical Park. Gates will open at 5:45 p.m.


HARD NIGHT’S DAY
Denton Drive Live! is a free, family-friendly event. In addition to great live music, each concert will include free kids’ activities, and food and drinks will be available for purchase from some of DFW’s most popular food trucks. TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE VIEWING

Free viewing glasses available while supplies last
A rare event, the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Farmers Branch will be a prime location for viewing — if you have proper eye protection. The Parks & Recreation Department will be offering a limited supply of ISO-certified eclipse viewing glasses before the event. Beginning March 18 and while supplies last, residents can pick up two free pairs from one of three locations: Manske Library, the Rec Center and the Historical Park. A viewing party will also be hosted at the library. Visit farmersbranchtx.gov/eclipse.
The path of totality, where viewers can see the moon completely block the sun, will approach from the southwest and should cross DFW starting around 1:40 p.m. It’s expected to last approximately four minutes and 23 seconds. To learn more, visit nasa.gov/eclipses.
SENSORY-FRIENDLY OPEN HOUSE
Saturday, April 20 | 9:30 - 11 a.m. | Fire Station 2
Join the Fire Department for a smaller-scale, relaxed atmosphere that will be perfect for individuals with sensory sensitivities. The event will feature interactive displays and activities, guided tours, a bounce house and quiet spaces for sensory regulation. FISHIN’ FUN

Gather up the kids for a morning of fishing and outdoor fun!
Rawhide Creek will be stocked with over a ton of farm-raised catfish and bluegill, and Texas Parks & Wildlife Angler Educators will also be on site. The fishing tournament will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a 10:30 a.m. awards ceremony with prizes in three age categories.
